Chapter 362: Hercules bows to His foster father and foster mother

Chapter 362: Hercules bows to His foster father and foster mother

Here we go again...

Looking at the new farce that was about to unfold, Loen rubbed his forehead helplessly.

Eurystheus, another grandson of Perseus, cousin of Hercules, current king of Argos, and an important figure in enabling Hercules to complete the Twelve Trials.

Back then, before Hercules was born, Zeus announced at the theocratic council that the first grandson of Perseus would rule the Argos region and dominate all other descendants of Perseus.

His original intention was to give this honor to a son born to him and his lover Alcmene, so that this child of destiny would have land and help so that he could play a greater role in the future war against the giants.

But he gave benefits to his illegitimate son, but he was actually digging Hera's flesh.

You know, Argos is Hera's holy place.

So, when the Queen of Heaven heard the news, she was furious. She used her power as the goddess of marriage to make Perseus' other grandson Eurystheus be born early, making him the king of Argos. Hercules, who was born later, became his subject.

Later, Hercules was born, and Hera went to hunt down the illegitimate child as usual, and by accident she became involved with Lorne.

Under Loen's guidance, the queen gradually let go of the hatred in her heart and no longer obsessed with destroying Zeus's illegitimate son and lover.

Hercules and his mother Alcmene escaped the disaster and lived in seclusion in Argos.

But as Hercules grew up and became famous, King Eurystheus began to notice his famous brother, and out of fear, he summoned him to the palace, gave him the status of a slave, and assigned him a lot of difficult tasks, sending him to his death.

After all, with such a powerful brother by his side, coupled with Zeus's prophecy, his throne was very unstable.

Hercules was unwilling to obey at first, but he could not disobey the oracle of his father Zeus, so he left home and came to Delphi to ask for guidance from fate.

The three goddesses of fate also gave him an answer: follow the guidance of the oracle, complete the twelve trials of glory, and you will eventually be able to escape from the mortal body and ascend to become a god!

So Hercules patiently returned to Argos and obeyed the orders of his cousin Eurystheus.

After completing several trials, Perseus, Hercules' grandfather and teacher, came down to the mortal world and brought Hercules out of Argos. He carefully taught him martial arts and knowledge and took him through training, thus creating the great hero Hercules of today.

But the grudge between the two brothers did not disappear.

At this time, seeing Hercules being humiliated in public, the meeting place fell silent. Some heroes were indignant, some were worried, but there were also some who were indifferent and mocking.

After all, heroes are still human beings at heart.

While they have abilities and qualities that are worth boasting about, they also have bad habits and desires that cannot be washed away.

Hercules looked at his cousin in front of him, clenched his fists again and again, and finally chose to let go.

When the heroes saw this, many of them showed a hint of contempt in their eyes.

A great hero is just like this.

Seeing this, Lorne sighed, and then...

“Bang!”

A crisp cracking sound exploded on Eurystheus' head. The King of Argos swayed and then came to his senses. He touched his wet head and looked at the scarlet palm mixed with wine and blood. He couldn't help but get furious.

"Who? Which bastard threw a wine glass at me?!"

"Your grandpa!"

With a rough snort, a foot flew over and kicked Eurystheus, who was looking around, to the ground.

“Who allowed you to waste?”

Lorne stepped on Eurystheus' back with a grim look on his face.

Eurystheus, lying on the ground, raised his head angrily, struggling and roaring.

"Are you crazy? I am the king of Argos!"

"The King of Argos is nothing, how dare you waste my wine?"

Lorne kicked the stubborn head into a pool of scarlet wine on the ground and forced Eurystheus to drink it.

"Lick it up! Lick the wine off the ground! You'll die if you don't drink it!"

Feeling the increasing pressure on his head, his skull began to moan faintly as if it could not bear the heavy burden. Eurystheus could no longer maintain his pride and dignity. He endured the humiliation, opened his mouth, and licked the remaining wine on the ground like a dog.

Even though the dirt on the ground made him feel nauseous, and even though the pottery fragments mixed in the wine pierced his tongue and cheeks, he did not dare to pause or delay for the moment.

Because if you stop you will really die!

After Eurystheus finally licked the remaining wine on the ground, Loen snorted coldly and kicked it away as if he was disposing of garbage.

As Eurystheus slammed heavily into the pillar, the heroes looked at the bruised king of Argos and fell silent.

God’s grace is like the sea, and God’s power is like prison.

Gods never have just one appearance, but are often a combination of light and darkness.

At this time, Loen looked back at Eurystheus who was lying on the ground like a dead dog, picked up the wine jug, poured himself a glass of wine and shook it gently.

He is the god of wine and feasting. To smash his cups and spill his wine at a feast is blasphemy!

Not to mention that the person opposite him is a mortal king, even if he is a god on Mount Olympus, he can kill him as long as he can defeat him.

Because in the Age of Gods, whoever has the bigger fist rules!

Due to his higher moral standards than the average Greek gods, he doesn't like to show his tyrannical side, but that doesn't mean he won't use thundering methods.

Loen glanced at the so-called King of Argos with disdain, turned to look at his blood brother in front of him, and spoke solemnly.

"Listen, Hercules, I want to see a lion leading a flock of sheep into battle, not a hound tying its own hands and feet! The next time someone dares to jump on your face, don't give others face, just kill them!"

Hearing this, Hercules nodded heavily, and a sharp aura gushed out of his body, making him like a sword drawn from its sheath.

He did not take action immediately, on the one hand because of the inertia of thinking driven by his cousin for a long time, and on the other hand because he was concerned about the face of his teacher Perseus and old friend Admetus, as well as the oracle of the three goddesses of fate.

But after seeing the personal demonstration of the god of wine before him, a certain shackle in his heart had been broken.

Who among those present is not a god-blood? Even ordinary humans claim to be the creation of Titan's Ashes. Under fists and swords, who is more noble than who!

If you don’t agree, just fight back!

Seeing Hercules jump out of the oracle's cage and regain the lion's spirit, Loen nodded with satisfaction.

He was still thinking of taking this Hercules to clear the dungeon of Zeus and the three goddesses of fate, but now he is afraid to deal with a mortal king who jumps up on him. What's the big deal?

At this moment, Eurystheus, who had crawled up from the ground at some point, summoned a large number of divine blood guards to accompany him. He stood behind the team with a sullen face and shouted angrily.

"How dare you insult me, the King of Argos, like this? I will make you pay for it!"

"The King of Argos? Very well, from now on, you are no longer..."

Just as Eurystheus waved his hand to give the order, a low and cold voice came from outside the door, and a white-armed goddess wearing a golden hair crown stepped into the hall.
