Chapter 71: Remarks on the Release

Chapter 71: Remarks on the Release

It’s finally going to be on the shelves. This should be considered my official fourth book.

Maybe I was born with a bad complexion. I have a bit of a non-African temperament and have never had good luck in writing books.

The first book: 1.1 million words, all free. It was a hobby work when I was in college. The updates are unstable and the writing is not good, so I don’t feel comfortable using it to make a living. I basically wrote it in my spare time during college and after work, purely for love.

The second book: I encountered the epidemic at that time, and there were some problems at work. During the period of staying at home, I had no source of income. I thought about trying to develop my interest into a job to see if I could use it to support my family. Luckily, I was able to sign a contract, and later I mixed it into a small masterpiece, and wrote a total of 2.7 million words.

Then, as expected, something unexpected happened.

A few days after the book was finished, because the subject matter involved a foundation, more than 300 chapters out of 1,000 were blocked and could not be revised at all.

Not only did I lose my source of income, but I also had a mortgage and owed a lot of foreign debt to my relatives.

There is no choice but to grit my teeth and open another one.

The third book: 4.2 million words. I was also lucky enough to have it published on a small website. I pushed myself day and night and managed to make ends meet, pay off my foreign debts, and renew my mortgage.

Then, as expected, another surprise happened.

When I was about to finish the book in January 2024, the retina of one of my eyes detached due to overuse of my eyes. At the end of the year, my brother dragged me to Tianjin Eye Hospital for surgery, and I was bedridden for 4 months.

However, when I got out of bed in April and May, I continued the unfinished part. Even though not many people followed it, I finished it in November.

I don't have any other thoughts, I just simply feel that I have to take some responsibility for my book and my readers.

Of course, after being hospitalized for a long time and taking time off from work for more than half a year, the family was unable to make ends meet. This is the worry of adults.

But it is a bit difficult, life must go on.

So, this is the fourth book.

In fact, the short story about time travel at the beginning is not entirely fabricated. A classmate of mine in high school, who worked in education, had arrhythmia, but fortunately he was lucky enough to be pulled out of the hospital. But since then, he retired from BJ and returned to his hometown to become an elementary school teacher.

As for me, I feel like my health has been in trouble over the years. I have insomnia, anxiety, palpitations, high blood pressure, cervical spondylosis, all of these occupational diseases that authors have.

So, since I don’t know how long I can write, I will treat every book as if it were my last and write it seriously.

As long as the readers support me and the income can cover the basic living expenses, I will finish the book normally. I have a lot of integrity.

Finally, I would like to thank all the readers who have supported and rewarded me.

I also ask all the parents who read this and like this book to subscribe, or if you are not well-off, at least use tokens to make a first order. This is very important to the author. Please.

It will be on the shelves at 12 noon tomorrow, and there will be five updates after it is released.

I wish you all peace, happiness, good health and all the best.
