Shi Yan absolutely cannot miss such an opportunity. He must gain the trust of every member of the Shi family so that they can become his future support.
He wasn't afraid at all that his lies in front of Shi Wang would be exposed. The only person who knew that Shi Qian was injured was the nanny. The nanny saw that Shi Qian had a head injury that day and applied some medicine to stop the bleeding. Fortunately, Shi Qian had long hair, so if you didn't part his hair, you wouldn't be able to see the wound inside.
The next day, Shi Qian woke up saying she was in pain, her whole body ached, and her head hurt. Before she could say anything, she fainted again.
Su Kaiyue had taken Shi Qian to every hospital in Yancheng that she could name, but they still couldn't find out what was wrong with Shi Qian.
He remembered that Shi Jingguo was going to the capital on a business trip, so he decided to have Shi Qian also go to the hospital there to take a look.
She still had to take care of Shi Wang, so she wouldn't go with him for the time being. Anyway, Shi Jingguo was there, and Shi Qian also had someone to take care of him, so Su Kaiyue wasn't too worried.
When Shi Qian arrived in the capital, Shi Jingguo was busy with business and asked his subordinates to help handle Shi Qian's affairs. Shi Qian was arranged to stay in the hospital.
After examining Shi Qian, the doctor found that Shi Qian was covered in injuries, including a wound on his head. He frowned, thinking that she had been abused. The assistant called Shi Jingguo to inform him of Shi Qian's injuries, but Shi Jingguo was too busy and didn't care much. He thought that the child had probably bumped into things while playing and said that these external injuries were minor and that the doctor could handle them.
When Shi Qian woke up in the hospital, his first reaction was to look for his family. He remembered that his brother had an accident, but the environment looked unfamiliar and he didn't know where he was.
Shi Qian was already sick and weak, and after being beaten, he was covered in injuries and could barely stand up. He fell twice, his knees were swollen, and his forehead was covered in sweat, but he still forced himself to get up and walk towards the door. He had to complete the task his brother had given him; he had to go and call for help.
Shi Qian pushed open the door to the ward and ran into his assistant who had come to handle his affairs. The assistant was startled when he saw Shi Qian come out and quickly carried him back to the room.
Shi Qian recognized the assistant; he was someone who worked for her father and would occasionally come to their home.
"Uncle, please take me home quickly..."
The assistant looked troubled; they were in Beijing now, and it wasn't something they could just return to whenever they wanted.
"Young Master, we're not in Yan City right now. Your father brought you here for medical treatment. It's quite far. Can we go home later? Once the examination is finished and everything is alright?"
Upon hearing this, Shi Qian panicked. "How can that be? It's going to be too late!"
"Uncle, do you have a cell phone? I want to call my dad."
"Your father should be in a meeting right now. You can talk to your uncle if you have anything to say."
The assistant knew Shi Jingguo's personality; he would throw a tantrum if disturbed while working. He guessed that Shi Qian missed her father, so he calmed the child down first and would talk to her later.
"No, then can I call my mom?"
Shi Qian was still thinking about Shi Wang. He didn't know how much time had passed; he only knew that he had to complete the task his brother had assigned him.
The assistant handed the phone to Shi Qian, who then called Su Kaiyue. The phone rang for a while before Su Kaiyue answered.
"Mom, I..."
"Xiaoqian, Mom is busy. I have to pick up your brother from the hospital. I'll call you back later. If you need anything, talk to Dad first. Bye."
Before Shi Qian could finish speaking, Su Kaiyue hung up the phone. Shi Qian heard her mother say that she was going to pick up her brother from the hospital. Did that mean her brother had been rescued?
"Uncle, where's my brother?"
When the assistant learned that Shi Wang had been kidnapped, he thought that the brothers were indeed very close. As soon as Shi Qian woke up, he asked about Shi Wang's condition and replied, "Your brother is fine and should be able to be discharged from the hospital today."
Shi Qian was relieved to hear this. The assistant thought Shi Qian was homesick and comforted her, "Your mother is probably busy. How about this, I'll leave a cell phone here for you. You can call them anytime you miss them, okay?"
Shi Qian nodded, didn't pick up her phone again, and silently lay back down on the bed. It was good that her brother was alright.
Shi Qian stayed in the hospital for a week, and Shi Jingguo did not come to see him. Only his assistant would occasionally come over and bring him some small trinkets to amuse him.
Later, Shi Qian suddenly developed a cough and headache. The hospital called Shi Jingguo, but Shi Jingguo found it annoying and thought it would interfere with his business negotiations. He then claimed that no problems could be found in the examination and that Shi Qian was simply not used to the local environment, so he had his assistant send Shi Qian back to Yancheng.
Shi Qian was still unconscious on the way back, occasionally waking up for a moment before falling asleep again. The assistant took Shi Qian back to the Shi family home. When Shi Qian arrived at the Shi family home, she briefly regained consciousness and told Su Kaiyue that she was a little sleepy before being taken upstairs.
Shi Qianyi lay down on the bed and fainted again.
However, because Shi Qian was often sick, he felt more sick than the average person, so everyone was used to it.
Su Kaiyue was a little surprised to see that Shi Qian's head was wrapped in gauze. He hadn't been injured when he went there, so how did he get injured when he came back?
She asked her assistant a couple of questions, but the assistant didn't know how to explain it either. She just said that the child was playing around and accidentally bumped into something. Su Kaiyue thought that Shi Qian had been injured in Beijing, so she didn't say anything. She just felt that Shi Qian was too much of a worry.
Shi Qian slept for a day and a night before getting up. Shi Wang came by a few times during that time, but seeing that Shi Qian was still sleeping, he didn't disturb him.
However, seeing that Shi Yan was staying by Shi Qian's bedside and looked quite pitiful, he told Shi Yan to go to bed early and stop staying by his side, saying that he also had an injury on his head and needed to rest.
Shi Yan wasn't actually guarding him; he was just afraid that Shi Qian would wake up and reveal the truth. He wanted to be the first to crouch down when Shi Qian got up so he could say a few things to him and tell him not to talk nonsense.
