Chapter 14 Picking a fight at the dinner table, why aren't you angry?

Shi Qian waited for a while, and seeing that it was almost time, he prepared to go downstairs to have dinner.

The message only came from the other end of the chat window.

[S-God, you're awesome! You're perfect as a special guest, you can even be our coach!]

I'll talk to my manager and we'll send you the contract later. Please send me your address!

Shi Qian edited his current address into a message and sent it over. Then, at Lucky's extremely excited and insistent request, they exchanged phone numbers.

Shi Qian exited the game and prepared to go downstairs for dinner. Although he hadn't eaten much, he was getting hungry very quickly.

Meng Qing lived on the same floor as him, and when Shi Qian went downstairs, he invited Meng Qing to come along as well, afraid that Meng Qing would be embarrassed to come down.

Meng Qing was indeed a little uneasy when he was first brought over from the countryside, but he became a completely different person after he had a precognitive dream.

At first, he found it absurd and unbelievable. He never believed in ghosts and gods and thought that he was just having a dream about something he thought about during the day.

However, since the events in the dream did overlap with those in the real world, Meng Qing had to believe that these precognitive dreams were not entirely unreliable.

If everything that happened in his previous life was true, then the person he should take revenge on and guard against the most is this third young master of the Shi family. But strangely enough, he just can't bring himself to hate him.

It felt as if two souls were constantly pulling at each other in his mind. One was the one that made him hate Shi Qian, saying that he was the culprit of his tragic life, a wicked person who wanted to humiliate him and kill him.

Another voice told him that everything in the dream was an illusion, that what he saw was something someone had made him see on purpose, and that he should not believe anything.

Meng Qing tried his best to calm himself down. He ignored all other voices and only believed what he saw and what he felt.

He has never believed in reincarnation. In his view, one lives one life, and who can clearly distinguish between the true and false grudges of the past?

He did not believe in any predetermined fate; his destiny was solely in his own hands, and he would never compromise with anyone.

Since the dream told him that Shi Qian was the biggest villain in his life, he would get to know him personally and see if it was true or not; he could sense it for himself.

At least from last night until now, Shi Qian has shown him nothing but goodwill.

He has eyes; he can see for himself.

If the course of his dream is real, he can now plan and strategize for his future. Meng Qing can't possibly wait until several years later, after the so-called Meng family reunion in the capital, before getting his life back on track.

In his dream, he spent his entire life suffering and seeking revenge, living in hatred. If this was truly a second chance for him from heaven, he would not want to live that life again.

Shi Qian knocked on the door for most of the day, and just when he thought Meng Qing might be asleep, the guest room door opened.

"I thought you had fallen asleep."

Shi Qian was about to leave a note for Meng Qing on the door to remind him to come downstairs for dinner when he woke up.

Seeing Meng Qing come out, Shi Qian put the notepad on the table by the door, stretched, and said, "Let's go downstairs to eat."

When the two went down to the restaurant, Shi Yan had already arrived.

These past few days, Shi Jingguo has been away on a business trip, and Madam Shi has also gone on a trip with her girlfriends because she was in a bad mood, leaving only the few of them at home.

Because Shi Qian is a picky eater and his tastes change every day, we usually cook several dishes for dinner so that this pampered young master won't be unable to eat anything.

Shi Qian was somewhat surprised to see a table full of dishes and asked, "Uncle Liu, why did you prepare so many dishes?"

After asking the question, I seemed to realize something. It seems that he used to be quite picky about food.

Upon hearing this, Shi Yan immediately perked up. It was time to establish his persona by stepping on this cannon fodder NPC in front of Meng Qing!

Before the butler could respond, Shi Yan began to speak on his own:

"Yes, cousin, you're a picky eater,"

As she spoke, she glanced at Meng Qing, seemingly trying to send her a flirtatious look. After all, she had spent the afternoon carefully dressing up, changing into a well-tailored suit, and even putting on a natural makeup.

He refused to believe that he was inferior to Shi Qian, that colorful country bumpkin.

Unfortunately, Meng Qing didn't even glance at him, so Shi Yan had no choice but to look away and continue speaking:

"Brother Meng, you have no idea how difficult it is to raise my cousin since he was a child. He's so delicate. He can't even look at ginger, and he won't eat scallions or garlic. They can be used for seasoning, but he can't taste the flavor."

"Don't eat carrots sliced, eat them cut into strips."

"I don't eat foods like broccoli and cauliflower because I have trypophobia."

I don't eat fruit with the pit and peel on, but I eat it after removing the pit and peeling it.

"I eat oranges but not tangerines, and I don't eat apples because they have a mealy texture."

"He'll yell at and kick people if he doesn't like something he eats."

"He is also allergic to nuts, mangoes, and pomegranates."

“My cousin and I are completely different. I can eat anything and I’m not allergic.”

...

Shi Yan went on and on, wanting Meng Qing to know that Shi Qian was a delicate and troublesome person, a complete spoiled brat.

Unlike him, who is easy to take care of, considerate, and has a good personality and temper.

Shi Yan remembered that Meng Qing hated pretentious people the most in her previous life, especially young masters like Shi Qian who were nitpicky and demanding.

Having suffered so much hardship since childhood, often going hungry and cold, he could eat a bag of noodles for a month. He hates people who waste food for no reason.

Shi Yan finished speaking in one breath, glanced at Shi Qian with disdain, and then looked at Meng Qing with affection, perhaps even giving her a flirtatious wink.
