Shi asked a couple more questions, and Xu Wenbing's answer made him question his life. Was the person he was talking about really Shi Qian?
Shi Wang knew that Shi Qian could play the violin, since Su Kaiyue had taught Shi Qian when they were young. However, Shi Qian's skill level was not good, and no matter how she was taught, she couldn't learn. Su Kaiyue even slapped Shi Qian's palms a few times because of this.
It was only after Shi Yan joined that Su Kaiyue shifted her "good intentions." Shi Wang had also heard Shi Qian play the violin, and even as an outsider, he could tell that it was played very poorly and had nothing to do with the genius that Xu Wenbing had described.

Xu Wenbing said that Yan Zhengming's evaluation of Shi Qian was that he was a genius. Shi Wang did not believe that this was just a casual compliment, and that Yan Zhengming would not praise a high school student.
