As usual, Yan Ge would send Wind a few messages every day, telling him what he had done that day, what fun things had happened, and occasionally inviting Wind to come to the capital for a visit.
At first, Wind didn't reply at all, but later he would occasionally reply with a sentence or two. He didn't say much, but Yan Ge was already very excited, which shows that Wind had seen his message.
Yan Ge would occasionally invite Wind to visit the capital. Although he knew Wind would never agree, what if she did?
If only I could see Wind in person. Wind is a benefactor to him in the entertainment industry. If it weren't for the songs Wind wrote for him, Yan Ge would probably still be a nobody in the entertainment industry.
Yan Ge was very grateful and thought about sending money to Wind, but he was afraid that Wind would not accept it, so he decided to send money to Wind by inviting him to write a song instead.
He won't release any songs this year, but he can keep them and find a production company to release them himself after terminating his contract.
So not long ago, Yan Ge asked Wind again if he could write a song for him. Wind replied two days later that he could.
Yan Ge immediately transferred a large sum of money to Wind, saying it was a deposit. Wind didn't say anything, only asking when he would need it.
Yan Ge wasn't in a hurry; he just told Wind to finish writing and send it to him. He'd had a few drinks today, so Yan Ge was talking more than usual and started sending Wind messages non-stop.
Just as Yan Ge sent a message, Shi Qian's phone rang once. Thinking it was a coincidence, he sent two more messages, and Shi Qian's phone rang again.
"Your phone is ringing, it sounds like someone is looking for you."
Shi Qian assumed it was a group chat from the lab or Guan Mo and a few others, so he wasn't in a hurry to look.
Yan Ge tentatively sent another message, and Shi Qian's phone rang again.
"Why don't you take a look at the news?" Yan Ge felt that the coincidence was too much.
Shi Qian saw that Yan Ge kept urging him, so he took out his phone, opened the message, and saw the message Yan Ge had sent him. He then understood what Yan Ge meant by urging him.
Presumably suspecting his identity, Shi Qian turned the screen towards himself and casually opened the lab's group chat.
"It's a message from the lab's group chat; I forgot to turn off Do Not Disturb."
After speaking, he openly scrolled through the chat history right under Yan Ge's nose. Yan Ge glanced at it and saw that it was indeed a group message, realizing that he had been overthinking things.
He shook his head, realizing he had really drunk too much tonight; he had almost mistaken Shi Qian for Wind.
That's true, how could that be? Shi Qian is so young, it's impossible for him to have started writing songs in junior high school, right?
Yan Ge looked away and continued sending messages.
Shi Qian breathed a sigh of relief, but before she could fully relax, she heard Yan Ge speak again.
"By the way, Shi Qian, I don't think I've added you on WeChat yet. Let's add each other now so it'll be easier to keep in touch."
Shi Qian immediately tensed up. He had just received a large sum of money from Yan Ge for buying songs. What if Yan Ge found out that it was him who asked for a "friendship price"?
What if Yan Ge finds out it's him and starts urging him to write songs every day?
Shi Qian has been quite busy lately, and she's not in a hurry to write the song Yan Ge wants. She plans to finish this busy period before starting to write it.
He can't afford to be exposed now.
"My phone is dead, maybe next time." Shi Qian quickly pressed the power button next to her phone, showing Yan Ge the black screen.
"It's okay, I'll have Fu Xiuhan send me your WeChat ID, you just need to accept it."
Shi Qian's heart tightened. Was there no way to avoid it?
If he hadn't been unaware that the person buying the song was Yan Ge when he first joined, he would have already used a secondary account.
"I'm not sending you Shi Qian's WeChat. Yan Ge, have you gone crazy from drinking? A dead phone battery means no, understand?"
"Shi Qiancai doesn't want to add you. You talk as if your WeChat is worth something."
Yan Ge, a top celebrity, was being simultaneously disliked by the two people in the car.
Shi Qian smoothed things over, saying, "There really is no power."
Fu Xiuhan's mouth seemed to be born to roast Yan Ge; he was happy when Yan Ge was unhappy.
"I've already blocked you on WeChat, so you can't contact me now. You can only dream about it."
Yan Ge reached out and patted Fu Xiuhan on the head, indicating that he was angry.
Fu Xiuhan yelped and dodged, yelling, "What are you doing! What are you doing! Are you trying to kill yourself by interfering with the driver's work?!"
Yan Ge replied irritably, "Drive your car. Your driving skills are so bad, you're making me dizzy."
"My driving skills are terrible, but even my driving skills aren't as bad as your singing. Stop playing on your phone, you're just airsick!"
"Don't vomit on my car! It'll cost you 200 per instance, plus a brand new sports car!"
Yan Ge was indeed feeling a bit dizzy and nauseous. Ignoring Fu Xiuhan, she put down her phone, grabbed a cushion, and leaned against the car window to prepare for sleep.
The car fell silent instantly. Shi Qian saw that Yan Ge seemed to have fallen asleep, and he was relieved, hoping that the man would forget about asking for his contact information the next day.
After finishing the exam the next afternoon, Yange had filming and other business activities, so he took two weeks off, and the matter of getting his contact information was dropped.
Shi Qian received a message from Yan Zhengming, asking how his preparations for the music competition at the end of the month were going. He said he was currently on a business trip and would come back next week to check on things for him.
Shi Qian replied with an "okay," and then asked Yan Zhengming if he had any spare violins.
Yan Zhengming remained silent for a while, unsure whether it was because Shi Qian hadn't started preparing yet or because Shi Qian didn't even have a zither.
Shi Qian's zither is in Yan City. He forgot to bring it over, and it would be troublesome to have someone send it. He thought he would just ask Yan Zhengming to borrow a zither.
His current focus is on the laboratory, and participating in the competition is just a side thing. Besides, the Beijing Music Association has plenty of instruments, so any one he picks won't be too bad.
