Chapter 38 Unexpected Enemy

Shi Qian acted quickly, striking Zhang Ming several times from different directions until he was sure he could injure him without killing him, before stopping. Then, while Zhang Ming was still on the ground dodging and struggling, Shi Qian swiftly climbed over the wall and left.

Therefore, he did not notice that someone had been following him from a distance after he left the dormitory. When the person saw Shi Qian climb over the wall and leave, he quickly followed. The two dark figures disappeared into the backyard.

Shi Qian came out tonight, naturally with his own plans. The plot has become chaotic, and he needs to make arrangements for himself as soon as possible. In his previous life, he gave all his money to Shi Yan and didn't keep a penny for himself. In the end, he ended up in a miserable state with nowhere to run.

Fortunately, he came to his senses early and didn't cause any trouble. But having money in hand is the most reliable thing. His current savings, apart from the money he won from playing games, are the allowance given to him by the Shi family.

However, pocket money is too unreliable. In her previous life, she had a falling out with her family because of Shi Yan, and she became the last knife Shi Yan used to stab Meng Qing.

Aside from pocket money, which is her only source of income, Shi Qian has no other income.

Shi Yan had swindled almost all of the money in his card. One day, Shi Yan accidentally saw the money in his card. This money was a prize from a game. Shi Yan thought it was money given to Shi Qian by the Shi family, so he coaxed Shi Qian into transferring a lot of it to him.

As a competent tool, Shi Qian naturally obeyed the protagonist's every request and transferred most of the money.

Shi Qian went to a bank and checked the money left in his card; he only had less than 3 million left.

My current task, besides testing the impact of my behavioral changes on the plot, is to focus on making money. The world is fake, but Shi Qian's survival here is real.

Without money, he has no way to do his own thing.

Shi Qian remembered that there was a cluster of shops a few kilometers away from the school. Due to the location and feng shui issues, business had always been poor. However, Shi Qian remembered that after he graduated from high school, the shops suddenly came back to life because an important government project was set up there. The shops suddenly became highly sought after again.

It's still early in the timeline, so Shi Qian will find this place based on his memory first, and then find an opportunity to buy it over the weekend. Making money from money is the fastest way to earn money.

Shi Qian studied the bus stop sign for a while, then boarded a bus. He didn't realize that another vehicle was following behind him.

The bus stopped on a remote hilltop. Shi Qian saw that it was indeed so. The place had not yet been discovered and was desolate, which suited the scene perfectly. The shops only opened for a short time in the morning and usually closed before 2 p.m.

Shi Qian walked over and wrote down the contact information for the prime shops for sale posted on the shop doors one by one, then prepared to leave.

Because the place was too deserted and too quiet, Shi Qian heard footsteps behind him.

Was someone following him? Or was it just a coincidence that he was also coming here?

This place is so remote that no one should have come here. Shi Qian calmed down and walked around to a few places at random. He found that the person behind him had been following him all along. At this moment, he confirmed that the person was the one who had been following him.

Shi Qian couldn't recall whether he had made any enemies at this stage, but to be on the safe side, he still had to act cautiously.

Shi Qian walked around and memorized the terrain of the area. He walked to a bend, turned in, and as soon as the people behind him came up, Shi Qian immediately picked up a piece of broken wood and threw it at them.

The man flashed by, and through the moonlight, Shi Qian could clearly see his figure; it was Fu Xiuhan.

What are you doing here? Following me?

Shi Qian was speechless. Why was he so entangled with these main characters? They were like ghosts haunting him wherever he went.

Shi Qian then heard hurried footsteps coming from not far away and realized that something was wrong.

"You called for help?"

Fu Xiuhan also heard the noise and saw that quite a few people had arrived. He frowned before saying, "No, I came alone."

A scene flashed through Shi Qian's mind. He remembered that Fu Xiuhan was ambushed by his enemies in a remote mountain village one night during his senior year of high school. At the critical moment, Shi Yan appeared and brought the seriously injured Fu Xiuhan out. This plot point was a major turning point in the relationship between Shi Yan and Fu Xiuhan. Since then, Fu Xiuhan has been like a protector, closely guarding everything about Shi Yan.

But Shi Yan, the main character, isn't even here right now! He saw in the family group chat tonight that Shi Yan and his adoptive mother from this world were having dinner with some judges. There's no way he could have teleported over like that.

So, is he the one who's going to save Fu Xiuhan today?

Shi Qian remembered that those people were all carrying knives. How could he possibly fight them all by himself? His rudimentary skills were only enough for self-defense. A few thugs would be fine, but even if he had three heads and six arms, he couldn't defeat a whole group of them.

Trouble! The main characters have messed with me!

Fu Xiuhan looked innocent, thinking that these people were just there by chance and couldn't possibly be there for Shi Qian.

I was in such a rush this time that I forgot to bring bodyguards, otherwise I could have protected them a bit.

"Your enemy?" Fu Xiuhan asked.

“They are your enemies.” Shi Qian was speechless.

The two quickly darted into the alley, but there were just too many people, and every exit was guarded.

grass.

So many people.

Fu Xiuhan recognized the person standing in front; he was one of his elder brother's enemies. Hadn't the matters in the capital been resolved? Why were they in Yan City?

Seeing that a fight was likely inevitable, Shi Qian whispered to Fu Xiuhan, "Did you drive here?"

Fu Xiuhan snapped out of his daze and replied, "Yes, it's over there on the main road."

"We have no choice but to charge. Given their current strategy of sweeping through every crevice in the ground with so many people, we'll be discovered soon."
