Chapter 35: System Bug Occurs, Memory Awakening (shuhaige.net)

Meng Qing searched every teaching building and every classroom. Except for a few locked rooms, she searched everywhere else but still couldn't find Shi Qian.

Could it be that he really went home first?

Meng Qing took a deep breath to calm her racing heart from running too fast, and called the housekeeper, who said that the third young master had not yet returned home.

Meng Qing was very anxious. Shi Qian was in poor health and seemed dazed. Now he was alone and didn't know where he was. What if he encountered danger?

Fu Xiuhan also ran up to Meng Qing at this moment and asked seriously, "Is Shi Qian missing?"

"Um."

"Could it be that they went home first?"

"No."

Meng Qing wasn't in the mood to communicate with Fu Xiuhan. He planned to search again, as he didn't want Shi Qian to have an accident on the first day of school.

Meng Qing and Fu Xiuhan split up to search, but still couldn't find the person. As darkness was approaching, Meng Qing remembered that Shi Qian was afraid of the dark, and she became somewhat anxious.

Meng Qing's gaze suddenly drifted to the building behind her, which was under maintenance. She hadn't looked there before. Could someone be inside?

Meng Qing and Fu Xiuhan exchanged a glance, seemingly understanding each other's meaning, and rushed directly towards the equipment room.

“The door is locked from the outside,” Fu Xiuhan said.

"Shi Qian, are you inside?"

Meng Qing kept calling out, hoping to hear a response. Just as he was about to give up on breaking down the door to check, he heard a slight noise inside.

The person is inside!

Without saying a word, Meng Qing picked up a stick and smashed it directly at the iron lock, so hard that the lock cracked instantly.

Meng Qing pushed open the door and went in, finding Shi Qian lying on the floor.

"Shi Qian!"

Shi Qian's face was flushed, his head was covered in cold sweat, and his lips had turned pale. He must have accidentally kicked over the basketball next to him when he was not fully conscious, making some noise.

Seeing Shi Qian's weak state, Fu Xiuhan was about to pick her up and carry her to the infirmary when Meng Qing acted even faster, squatting down to pick Shi Qian up and asking, "Where's the infirmary?"

Fu Xiuhan didn't waste any time and had Meng Qing follow him directly. The two of them successfully delivered the person to the infirmary.

"Doctor, please help me!"

As soon as Meng Qing entered, she put Shi Qian on the hospital bed and hurriedly went to find the doctor.

The doctor on duty glanced at Fu Xiuhan and Meng Qing, then took his toolbox and headed straight for Shi Qian.

"He's mostly fine, he just fainted."

Hearing the doctor's diagnosis, Meng Qing finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"However, this student is very weak and has been sweating profusely, so he may develop a fever in the middle of the night."

Meng Qing listened carefully to the doctor's instructions, took the prescribed medicine, and sat aside waiting for Shi Qian to wake up.

The two had already applied for on-campus accommodation in a two-person room, which would be quieter. Their luggage was taken to the dormitory building by the driver early in the morning, and they would go back to unpack after class in the evening.

Unexpectedly, Shi Qian suddenly encountered an accident. Meng Qing wanted to carry Shi Qian back to the dormitory, but was worried that if Shi Qian felt uncomfortable after waking up, she would not be able to ask the doctor in time. In the end, she decided to wait.

Fu Xiuhan stood aside, showing no intention of leaving. Meng Qing didn't understand why he was staying, but she still thanked him for helping to find the person.

"It's alright, you can go back now, I'll keep an eye on things."

Meng Qing thought Fu Xiuhan was completely superfluous here; he wasn't a doctor, so there was no point in him standing there.

Fu Xiuhan understood Meng Qing's intention to send him away, and he felt a little embarrassed. After all, his sudden appearance was somewhat unusual, not to mention his somewhat awkward relationship with Shi Qian as the pursuer and the pursued.

Fu Xiuhan didn't say anything. After confirming that Shi Qian was alright, he left the infirmary.

The doctor returned to the duty room, leaving only Meng Qing and Shi Qian there.

Meng Qing pulled a tissue from the table and gently wiped the sweat from Shi Qian's face. Shi Qian's eyes were tightly closed, and she looked sickly, pale and fragile.

A feeling Meng Qing had never experienced before welled up in his heart—he really didn't want Shi Qian to get hurt.

Meng Qing took out her textbook, sat down, and began to review her high school knowledge. Perhaps it was because of her precognitive dream, but Meng Qing felt as if she had already learned all of this knowledge, and she quickly got the hang of it and solved the problems very smoothly.

He quickly finished a set of physics problems, and when he looked up, he realized that Shi Qian had woken up at some point and was quietly looking at him with her eyes open.

His eyes were clearer than before, less naive, and filled with emotions that he couldn't decipher.

Meng Qing didn't think much of it; as long as Shi Qian was awake, that was good. He put down the test paper in his hand, leaned closer to Shi Qian, and asked, "Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"

Shi Qian stared at Meng Qing for a long while before slowly saying, "No."

Unfortunately, Shi Qian's voice betrayed him; it was broken and hoarse, like a sign that he was about to fall ill.

"Should I go home and see the doctor again?"

Meng Qing wasn't sure if Shi Qian's body could handle it, so she gave him the choice; he could go home and continue to recuperate for a while if he wanted.

"unnecessary."

Shi Qian refused decisively, as if Meng Qing wasn't telling him to go home, but rather to go to some dangerous place.

Meng Qing didn't ask any more questions. She helped Shi Qian sit up, poured him a glass of warm water, and watched him drink it. After confirming that he could walk on his own, Meng Qing gave up her plan to carry him and went back to the dormitory with Shi Qian.

Their luggage was left with the dormitory supervisor on the first floor. The building where Meng Qing and Shi Qian lived was mainly occupied by art students. The reason was simple: the accommodation fee in this building was much higher, and the conditions were much better than those in a regular six-person dormitory.

Meng Qing pushed the two suitcases by herself, letting Shi Qian walk in front while she followed behind, so that she could react in time to help Shi Qian if she suddenly felt unwell.

The two took the elevator to the 6th floor and found their dormitory room – 602.

Meng Qing didn't want Shi Qian to do anything, since he was still sick, so she wiped the sofa in the small living room clean and let Shi Qian lie down and rest first.

She then dragged her suitcase to the room to clean.

The dormitory consists of two separate small rooms with a shared living room. The bathroom and toilet are separate, one for each person.

Meng Qing was quick and efficient, and soon she had made up both beds in the two rooms, laid out all the sheets and blankets, and even cleaned them up a bit, although they didn't look dirty.

However, Meng Qing was worried that Shi Qian, the young master, wouldn't be used to it, so she thought it best to make it cleaner.

Shi Qian sat quietly on the sofa, his gaze following Meng Qing's every move, staring intently as if trying to see through her.

The moment Shi Qian woke up, she discovered that she seemed to have gained a memory of her previous life. It didn't feel like a dream, but rather like something she had personally experienced.

In his dream, Meng Qing, the man who ultimately made him wish he were dead, was now in the same room with him, making up his bed.
