Chapter 84: Explosive! Long sneaked into my room at night...

*

"Haven't my Lord and the Goddess of Nature always been allies?"

Neil snorted, "Two brothers born from the same mother can't even get into the same bed, let alone two gods. We have to separate you and me and form an alliance to show respect."

"If they hear you say this, you will definitely be punished by the gods. Especially the goddess of nature, who is notoriously petty."

"That means you can't hear it?"

Long rolled his eyes again. He seemed to be in a particularly bad mood today.

I looked at him for a while and reminded him, "Remember to tell me if you have anything to say."

Neil's expression softened. "I see. I'll definitely come to you if anything happens."

"That's good. By the way, I need your help with something."

I told him what happened last night, and Neil's expression became even weirder.

"So you came to pick me up today because you had to play with others yesterday."

I was helpless: "Why play with others? How old are they?"

"You're not that old, okay?"

Long snorted and said to himself, "Are you really coveting my ears and tail, or do you like my face..."

This soliloquy was not quiet at all.

Although the orc’s ears and tail are indeed very nice to rub, and the elf’s face is indeed very pretty, how can you insult someone’s innocence for no reason! I am not one of those players!! I will not do anything!

Facing my accusing gaze, Long still looked aggrieved: "I know I am a person who works hard, endures being beaten, scolded, and ordered around. How can I compare with them? I have to come in third for meals, no, fourth, and can only eat leftovers."

He deliberately dragged out his voice, which sounded a bit pretentious. I was speechless: "Are you acting too much? I came to you to find a solution. I didn't ask you to join them."

"How could that be possible? I just expressed my reasonable demands."

"I don't see that."

"Didn't I tell you I want to eat barbecue?"

"Then you're going to eat?"

"...You're just going to hang around with me here?"

Neil's voice suddenly rose, with a hint of anger: "I'm sincerely inviting you!"

I ignored the two words that were pronounced very heavily and said in a long voice: "Oh——"

Neil stared at me: "Do you still want me to help you?"

"Okay, deal, what are you going to do?"

He wagged his tail and almost hummed, "You'll know later~"

*

I have given so much for Neil.

Since I didn't know when he would come, I even rejected the elf's invitation. Odysseus looked at me silently for a long time, until I repeatedly promised to make it up to him next time, and he reluctantly nodded.

I waited till late at night but didn't see him. It seemed that today's agreement was ruined. I squinted my eyes and thought about how to punish him tomorrow.

In the middle of the night, when I was half asleep, I suddenly heard some noise.

I opened my eyes subconsciously and heard a woodpecker-like sound coming from the window. There was no such creature in the Holy City. After all, every tree was cast with magic to ensure healthy growth, not to mention insects.

There is undoubtedly only one person who would do such a thing.

I opened the window with a gloomy face, and saw a handsome face. The other party greeted me with great energy and climbed in from the window.

He jumped out of the window instead of going through the door. Does this guy want to be a thief? I looked at the sky that was getting white, and then looked at him: "You should be glad that you were not caught by the Knights."

"Don't worry, I asked the Knight Commander for the night patrol distribution map in advance, so we will definitely not run into him!"

I was a little surprised: "He actually gave it to you?"

Neil coughed: "I asked for it in your name."

I:"......"

Facing my glare, Neil said innocently: "Just tell me whether you went or not!"

"Then you can't say that I asked for it. If something happens, I won't be able to shirk the blame."

Neil patted his chest and promised: "I will keep it a secret and won't tell anyone! If someone really finds out through other means and accidentally leads it to you, then you'll just have to consider yourself unlucky."

"...Thank you so much."

I glared at him. Neil smiled and waved at me from the windowsill. The moonlight fell on the ends of his platinum hair, making it almost transparent. His violet eyes smiled at me, full of freedom and unrestrainedness that was out of place in this sacred building.

"You're welcome. Come on. If you delay any longer, someone will come."

As soon as I walked over, Long grabbed my hand and jumped out of the window.

In an instant, the dragon's roar resounded through the sky.

I have seen fires in the distance and heard voices. It must be the knights nearby who heard the noise and are rushing over here.

Before I could see who was coming, the dragon had already carried me high into the sky, leaving the noise and chaos behind, with only the wind chasing us.

He flapped his wings and flew high in the sky. The full moon hung high in the sky, quietly looking down at us. A silvery gauze was draped over the dragon's scales, and the brightly lit city was located at his feet, like a shining pearl.

I lay on the dragon's back, the howling wind in the sky brushed past my ears. The frightened eagle dived into the woods, fearing that we would catch it.

Too close to the sky and too far from the earth, the wind was surprisingly loud. I shouted at the top of my lungs: "You will definitely be scolded if you come back!!"

"Haha, let them scold. Even if that happens, it will happen after we come back."

The dragon laughed and sped up again. The magic formed a protective shield around us. I guess from the ground, we would be like a meteor with a long tail.

At this moment, only the stars are looking down on us.

*

The dragon carried me soaring, until the sea leaped up from the ground and jumped into my eyes.

I didn't have time to see more. The dragon rushed down with me on his back, and I had to hold his neck tightly. The meteor finally hit the soft gravel. We rolled into a ball - of course, he turned into a human form in the process.

Golden sand was everywhere. I stood up with a dark face and shook off the sand on my robe. I kicked the dragon, whose butt was sticking out of the sand. He was under me when he rushed down, and he took the most impact. He was buried directly in the sand.

"Hey, is he dead?"

The dragon mantis cricket pupa raised its head from the sand and said, "I've been your cushion, can you at least be nice to me?"

I replied angrily: "If it weren't for a certain dragon, I wouldn't have fallen down so miserably."

Long began to laugh again, and his already handsome face radiated an incomparable brilliance.

I kicked him: "Is it funny?"

Before I could stand firmly, Neil suddenly grabbed my ankle and pushed me off.

I cleverly held onto the ground, but he suddenly turned over and pinned me down. I punched him without hesitation, and Long dodged with a "Woo-a ...

My eyes lit up, and I was about to take advantage of him. But just as I took my left foot, Neil suddenly waved his hand and splashed sand all over my face.

"Hey! My clothes!"

"Hehe, don't think I didn't see that you just wanted to beat me up!"

"...No, I was just caressing you gently!"

"Then you'll let me touch you gently, too?"

“I don’t want to—!”

We were like little kids, you bumped into me and I threw sand all over your face. Without using magic, my physical strength was really not as good as his, and in the end, I was the only one lying on the beach panting.

Neil squatted down and looked at me proudly: "Well, admit defeat, you can't beat me."

I glanced at him. "Hair."

He: “Ah?”

Me: "Your hair is full of sand!"

Neil was startled and quickly squatted on the edge of the beach to check the situation. I cast a spell on myself, walked over silently, and kicked him in the butt.

The dragon was unable to dodge and plunged into the sea. The water was shallow, just enough for him to lie down.

Neil sat up, wiped the water off his face, and looked at me accusingly: "We agreed not to use magic!"

"I didn't say that, it just didn't work before."

I answered confidently. The sea breeze blew and Long sneezed. I extended my hand to him, and Neil took my hand and stood up with the help.

I was covered in sand and he was covered in water.

We both looked at each other in dismay, and I don't know who burst out laughing first. Then the laughter got louder and louder, and we both fell forward and backward.

It took me a while to stop laughing.

Long's clothes were soaked with water, and his skin was faintly visible. He looked up at me with a smile, his expression was pure and flawless, and his eyes were clear: "Are you feeling better?"

If you still don't understand: "I'm not a child, I don't need your comfort."

"What's wrong with you, sir?" Long said dismissively. "Even if you are a hundred, a thousand, or ten thousand years old, you will still be unhappy and have headaches. What's wrong with relaxing once in a while?"

I laughed dumbly: "You are just making excuses."

"Maybe." Long smiled nonchalantly. "After all, it doesn't matter to me what happens to other people. Whether the Church of Light and the nature elves will be destroyed has nothing to do with me. You are the only one I care about."

He said this so naturally that I didn't know how to respond. After all, I knew that the one he was talking about was the only one in the world. Except for me, perhaps no one else knew his true identity.

"Ah, it's coming out."

Long didn't wait for my answer. He turned his head and I followed his gaze.

The boundary between the sea and the sky is connected in the night, the dark blue is replaced by orange-red, and the edge melts into a thin gold like the sky. Then a little red emerges from it.

As we watched, this thin red spurted out and turned into a warm but not scorching red. The morning light fell in layers, like paint dripping into water, or like silk being dyed. The sea was covered with a thin layer of light, and the waves were surging and jumping, dotted with golden red waves and spray.

Everything is bathed in the morning light. The refreshing sea breeze blows towards us, and becomes gentle when it touches the beach, passing between us tenderly.

The rising sun fell into his eyes, and Neil turned to me with a bright smile. The wind blew our hair and the waves were washing in the distance.

I think even after a hundred years, a thousand years, or ten thousand years.

I will never forget this moment either.
