Chapter 7 The Missing Key Evidence
In the living room, Jian Xi and the old man of the Jian family seemed to be arguing about something. Neither side was willing to give in, and each voice was louder than the other. Until Jian Qianqian appeared in front of them.
Old Master Jian threw a cup right at Jian Qianqian's feet.
"Qian Qian!"
Jian Xi was startled and jumped up from the sofa and ran to Jian Qianqian. He lowered his head and carefully checked that Jian Qianqian's feet were not scratched by the debris before he breathed a sigh of relief.
Jian Qianqian held her father's shoulders, smiled at Old Man Jian, then walked around Jian Xi and sat down on the sofa.
"I won't drop out!"
Jian Qianqian spoke with extraordinary firmness, and Old Man Jian couldn't help but frowned at her.
In his impression, the little granddaughter he found was very timid in front of him. Not to mention speaking to him so firmly, even if he spoke a little louder in normal times, the little girl would be scared.
Could it be that he really changed his personality because of this incident?
"Hey, what are you guys arguing about? Xiaoguai, ignore them and come to grandma. Grandma has something good for you!"
Grandma Jian came over to smooth things over, but when Grandpa Jian looked at Jian Qianqian, he found that Jian Qianqian seemed not to have heard what her grandmother said, and was only looking at him seriously.
This was forcing him to change his words, and this aura was somewhat similar to her mother's.
"Give me a reason not to drop out!"
Grandma Jian had already started punching Grandpa Jian in an attempt to divert his attention. Grandpa Jian was forced to defend himself while looking at Jian Qianqian with undiminished momentum.
Jian Qianqian's lips curled up into a slight smile, and she tilted her head to hold Jian Xi's restless hand, saying word by word: "I didn't push Jian Junze! Naturally, I won't drop out of school!"
"Really not retreating?"
"Oh, old man, you're so annoying! Why are you backing off? Xiaoguai won't back off, so stop arguing with her. I'm so annoyed. Get out of here. Don't sit here. I'm annoyed just by looking at you!"
Grandma Jian made a fuss for a long time, but when she saw that the two men were still discussing this matter, she simply switched from punching to throwing pillows, and without saying a word, she beat Grandpa Jian aside.
Old Master Jian remained silent for the time being. Grandma Jian turned around and looked at Jian Qianqian, saying soothingly that if Jian Qianqian didn't want to drop out of school, they could take a leave of absence first. Li Hengyuan was here, so she could go out and play around first.
Seeing their expressions, Jian Qianqian's brows slightly frowned imperceptibly. It seemed that they knew that she was being cyberbullied!
However, she really couldn't drop out or transfer schools, otherwise, wouldn't she be allowing these rumors to fly everywhere?
"Oh, Xiaoguai, if you don't like that little brother, I'll talk to your second brother and ask you to go and pick him up and bring him back to China!"
Seeing that Jian Qianqian was distracted, Jian's grandmother made a suggestion. Without waiting for Jian Qianqian to speak, she stood up and called Jian Qianqian's second cousin: Jian Ximo.
In Jian Qianqian’s memory of her previous life, this second brother had always been very mysterious, but... rich?
In the previous life, it seemed that he died earlier than Jian Qianqian!
Jian Qianqian was not interested and didn't say much, so the matter was settled for the time being.
After dinner, Li Hengyuan wanted to leave but was stopped by Jian Qianqian.
She grabbed Li Hengyuan's arm and pulled him in front of Grandma Jian and Grandpa Jian, then kept signaling to Li Hengyuan with her eyes.
Li Hengyuan was also confused by her and didn't know what to say.
"Grandpa! Grandma, Brother Hengyuan agreed to let me invest in his gallery. He's such a good man. Not only did he agree to let me only pay half, he also agreed to give me all the gallery's future earnings!"
Jian Qianqian smiled like a fox, and her voice was so sweet that it gave people goosebumps.
The old man of the Jian family frowned, not knowing what Jian Qianqian was trying to do, but Jian Xi had already handed three formal contracts to his daughter in a sullen manner.
The moment she saw the contract, Jian Qianqian clearly felt that Li Hengyuan seemed to be showing some signs of retreat.
"Brother, you know so much about painting, I'm willing to invest money in you, you will agree, right?"
"I……"
Li Hengyuan was in a bit of a dilemma. He didn't really care about this, but for some reason, he always had the illusion that he was about to be tricked?
"Don't worry, we're the Jian family's boss. Look! The contract has already been printed out. Once you sign, the money will be deposited immediately!"
Jian Qianqian took the contract and put it in Li Hengyuan's hand.
Li Hengyuan looked up at the serious Mr. Jian, then looked at Grandma Jian who was staring at him with a half smile, and Jian Xi who was eating silently, and subconsciously put down the contract in his hand.
"If my brother doesn't sign this contract, then everything he said this afternoon was just a joke?"
Jian Qianqian sat down on the chair with an unhappy look on her face.
Li Hengyuan wanted to be friends with Jian Qianqian after all. He flipped through the contract and found that although Jian Qianqian said she wanted all the gallery's income, the contract only stated a 6% share.
This asking price is not too excessive. Li Hengyuan took another look at Jian Qianqian's investment amount. Wow, this investment amount is really worthy of the Jian family, with such a large family and great wealth!
"Sister, you're at a disadvantage with this contract!"
Li Hengyuan reached out and tapped the contract, pretending to be very generous and asking for the gallery income column to be increased to 90%.
"Ninety percent? Wouldn't that put you at a disadvantage, brother?"
"Of course not, it's you who are at a disadvantage, sister!"
Li Hengyuan thought that the money invested by Jian Qianqian was enough for him to open another gallery, so he had to put in some effort, right?
