Chapter 104

Chapter 104

The old stairs began to creak.

The maids downstairs had probably finished cleaning one floor and started to move upstairs.

There was no need to wait for Lu Jiamu to push him. Johnny automatically shrank back while silently mouthing the words in an exaggerated manner: Hide! Hide somewhere quickly!

They were intruders into the manor, and none of the three of them had very high fighting power, so it would be better for them not to be discovered by the people in the manor.

As soon as the three people retreated into a room, the servants downstairs had already gone up to the second floor.

All the doors of the rooms on the second floor were closed after they left, but after the group of servants went upstairs, there was no sound of any doors being opened.

The three people in the room began to feel something was wrong.

Lu Jiamu also whispered: "Hide first."

Johnny swallowed nervously, stared with wide eyes and glanced to the side, signaling to others that he was going to run away.

The servants who went up to the second floor paused for a moment, then suddenly turned around and walked quickly towards the room where they were hiding with a clear purpose. Their footsteps on the wooden floor made a rapid "da da da da" sound, and it was unclear whether they were walking or running. It was like a death warrant.

Johnny didn't say a word, he immediately ran ahead and slid to hide under the broken bed in the room.

Lu Jiamu had already noticed that there was a large carved decoration above the door, which formed a mezzanine with the real ceiling. As Johnny ran, he jumped up as agilely as a cat and disappeared into the darkness of the mezzanine.

The black-haired girl saw that the two of them hid without saying a word. She rolled her eyes in fear and panic, and looked around the room. She noticed a large wardrobe against the wall. Her eyes lit up and she hid in it, closing the wardrobe door from the inside.

But in a moment, the room became empty again.

The black-haired girl hid in the closet, listening nervously to the hurried footsteps outside, feeling as if every footstep seemed to hit her heart.

Will they find this room? What if they are caught trespassing?

The servants outside came straight to their room and stood still without making any sound of opening any doors.

It was as if the servants knew that someone had hidden in the room, but they wanted to count down before playing hide-and-seek so that others could hide in advance. They also stood quietly outside the room for a while before pushing the door open.

A middle-aged woman spoke slowly, "Let's start from this room."

A group of servants in the corridor came in one after another, carrying cleaning tools into the room.

Johnny, who was hiding under the bed, saw this group of people coming directly to the room where they were hiding. He was so nervous that his heart was pounding. He crawled out again and tried to observe the situation outside.

Johnny saw the middle-aged woman in the lead walk to the middle of the room and stand still. Her gray, dead fish eyes looked around stiffly and said, "Make sure to clean it up carefully and don't miss any dirty corners."

He looks like this, he is definitely not a normal person!

After she finished speaking, her body shook unnaturally, and then she suddenly raised her arm like a puppet, and pointed stiffly at the decorative layer above the door: "That's where dirt is most likely to hide! Go and sweep the dust!"

Hearing this, all the servants looked up and stared at where Lu Jiamu was hiding.

One of the maids picked up a broom and walked to the door, jumping up and down to try to clean the mezzanine.

It's really interesting. The room they hid in was neither the innermost nor the outermost room, but those people came directly to their room. As soon as they came in, they said the decorative mezzanine was dirty without saying anything. I'm afraid they already knew there were outsiders, and they were able to determine their location in some way.

But now they just say they are cleaning.

Lu Jiamu looked at the broom that appeared randomly in front of him from left to right and almost poked him. He didn't make a sound and carefully retreated deeper into the mezzanine.

As he moved, he felt as if there were some debris piled up inside the mezzanine, making the already not very spacious mezzanine seem even more crowded.

Lu Jiamu reached out and touched it, and felt a thin, crispy and soft sheet, wrapped with something hard.

He understood what they were and he gently pushed them to the sides a few times, squeezing them deeper into the cavity.

The maid holding the broom jumped for a while and then stopped, looking back at the middle-aged woman: "I, I can't reach it. It's too high."

The middle-aged woman replied: "Stupid. Then can't you move a stool?"

The other servants began to walk around the room, and Johnny, who was hiding under the bed, became nervous.

Fortunately, the servants just obediently found a stool and moved it to the front door for the maid with the broom to step on.

The maid stood on a stool and was finally able to get the broom completely into the mezzanine, waving it left and right.

But Lu Jiamu had already retreated deeper into the mezzanine.

The broom was dangling in front of him, but he could tell at a glance that it was not long enough to reach him.

This broom seems to be useless except that it may mess with people's mentality.

Although Lu Jiamu remained silent, the servants below were still in the room and did not do anything else. They just looked up and stared at the mezzanine.

The maid looked back and forth for a long time, but perhaps because she neither touched him nor waited for any reaction from him, she felt very bored, so the other maids withdrew their gazes.

The middle-aged woman held out her hand again and directed, "Clean up that bed. And the cabinets and the dresser, they're all too dirty."

Several servants heard this and ran around with brooms, feather dusters and rags.

Seeing them coming towards the bed, Johnny withdrew his peeking gaze outside, crawled inside, and became nervous.

The three maids walked over to the bed and began to wipe and dust the bed frame.

As he got closer, Johnny could see their pale blue ankle skin more clearly. One of their ankles was severely sprained, with the joint dislocated and a large piece of bone sticking out, but she was still walking naturally.

This is definitely not a normal person. This is definitely not...

After the maids wiped around the bed several times, they seemed to climb onto the bed, and all six ankles disappeared.

The old broken bed creaked a few times and then fell silent, as if the three people on it had left.

But Johnny knew they must have been there, on the bed, but he didn't know where or what they were doing.

Hiding alone under the bed without anyone around him made him feel particularly uneasy. And this dark and uneasy environment always stimulates people's imagination.

Maybe the three maids were on the bed right now, "watching" him through the bed board. They would find him soon.

Johnny crawled under the bed, nervously staring at the small space he could see, and twisted his body a few times.

The bed was quiet for a moment, and then three smiling faces suddenly appeared from the edge of the bed, hanging upside down and looking straight under the bed: "Clean up the bottom of the bed, too!"

Then I saw the empty space under the bed.

The smiles on the three faces gradually faded.

They thrust their brooms in and pretended to sweep back and forth.

Johnny held his breath, pulled in his stomach, grabbed the bed frame with both hands, and lifted himself up, sticking as close to the bed as possible, and looked sideways at the broom moving back and forth behind him.

Johnny's face turned red from trying too hard.

fuck, fuck...
