Chapter 134
The little boy had already climbed onto the elevator car below. After a while, he looked up at Yu Leng and said, "This brother is still alive."
Yu Leng held his breath and responded absentmindedly: "It's good to be alive."
After a long time, Yu Leng, who was hanging in pain, finally saw hope and became more energetic.
Done!
The base's program for monitoring elevator operations became his wedding dress.
He immediately began to climb down as well: "Hold on tight."
"Yeah." The little boy nodded, bent down and hugged Lu Jiamu.
There was a soft "ding" sound from the elevator below, and then it started moving upwards.
A dialog box popped up on the computer that Yu Leng was holding, warning that unauthorized load had been detected in the elevator and asking whether to stop the elevator.
Wow, they can detect such a small change in weight?
Yu Leng immediately swiped across the screen and closed the dialog box.
Then he glanced down and said, "Move him to the side."
The little boy received the instruction, hummed, and obediently moved Lu Jiamu to the side.
Yu Leng also took advantage of the elevator just starting and jumped down from it, landing next to Lu Jiamu.
This giant elevator is actually quite stable, and even if someone suddenly jumps on it, there won't be much vibration. However, an alarm dialog box still appeared on the computer that Yu Leng was holding, indicating that there was unauthorized load-bearing.
Yu Leng reached out his hand again and swiped on the computer, deleting the dialog box.
He called the little boy to help open the vents in the car. Finally, before the elevator reached the top of the building, all three of them squeezed into the elevator car.
In the elevator, a female voice announced: "Ding! You have arrived at the first floor. Please swipe your card to leave."
Seeing that the journey had been so smooth, and now hearing the prompt sound, Yu Leng relaxed completely, covering his shoulders and almost sitting down on the spot.
Moreover, 10 minutes have passed since the initial power outage, and his abilities are slowly returning. Even if he has a head-on conflict with someone, he already has the strength to fight back.
Yu Leng took out a base personnel work card that he had stolen earlier from his pocket and swiped it at the card reader.
The first floor of the base is a dilapidated auto repair shop. It looks shabby and does not cover a large area. It can be said that it has nothing to do with their underground base and is very concealed.
In the entire repair shop, there were only a few employees sitting there and no one knew what they were doing. Anyway, it didn't look like they were repairing cars.
Yu Leng didn't dare to treat them as simple mechanics, and immediately used his spirit to touch the transparent thin lines extending from their bodies.
All the employees looked in the direction of the elevator and blinked, but seemed to find nothing.
Yu Leng looked around the repair shop and found a car that seemed to be barely drivable, so he snatched the key to the scrapped car from the staff.
He walked back, picked up Lu Jiamu, and wanted to drive away directly.
But the car key got stuck after it was inserted into the lock. Yu Leng turned it hard and the key broke directly inside.
The little boy didn't know what was wrong with him, but when he saw the key was broken, he started crying again as if he had suffered some great injustice.
It seemed that it was not the key that Yu Leng was holding that broke in the lock, but the key he was holding that broke.
Yu Leng:?
Thinking that he still didn't know where this little boy came from, Yu Leng gently placed his hand on the back of the boy's hand.
The few memories belonging to the little boy instantly flooded into his mind.
Yu Leng's face suddenly turned dark.
This little boy is indeed abnormal, and his abnormality is that he is extremely unlucky.
He can affect the probability of events within a certain range around him, greatly increasing the chances of unfortunate events. He is a person with the ability to manipulate probability.
His family found that whenever they got close to him, they would become extremely unlucky and fail in everything they did. He was like a human misfortune machine, so they began to look for ways to change their bad luck.
Because strange things happened wherever they went, the anomaly was eventually discovered by the base and taken in.
Since he has no killing power other than being unlucky and is still so young, the base has been more lax in their management of him out of humanitarian considerations, and will let him out to play when he does not affect the operation of the base.
No wonder the man said at the end, "You will send him back." It is indeed not easy to keep this child with you all the time.
The little boy seemed to notice the change in Yu Leng's attitude. He held him tightly and cried, "Brother... please don't leave me..."
Now that the light was better, Yu Leng noticed that the little boy had a pair of big mandarin duck eyes, one eye was brown and the other was light blue. He looked very beautiful, and when he started crying he looked like a wronged little kitten.
He cries all the time probably because of this abnormal ability. If you think about it carefully, if someone knows that he always creates bad luck for the people around him, then no matter what bad things happen next, he will easily think that it is caused by himself.
Yu Leng asked: "Where are you going to go after you leave here?"
The little boy sobbed and said, "I want to... I want to find my mother..."
Yu Leng had roughly read his memory. No one had ever come to see him in the past few years he had lived in the base, and his memory before entering the base was not very clear. No matter how he looked at it, he felt that his family didn't like him very much.
Yu Leng hesitated for a while between abandoning him immediately and taking him away. In the end, he felt that it was too cruel to just throw the little boy away, so he said, "Okay, I'll take you away, but you stay away from me first."
When the little boy heard that he wanted to take him away, he no longer felt aggrieved by his dislike and immediately walked away.
It was not advisable to stay near the base for a long time, so Yu Leng once again looked for a broken car, snatched the car keys from an employee, and found lighters on those people.
This time the little boy was not around, and he inserted the key and started the ignition in one go, and quickly drove the car out of the repair shop.
Yu Leng parked the car in a secluded corner, and while waiting for the little boy to come over by himself, he gathered some dry grass and lit it with a lighter.
When the dry grass was burnt into ashes, he sprinkled it on the wound on his shoulder as a last resort, then got into the car and continued driving.
The little boy curled up in the back seat, obediently staying as far away from him as possible.
But after driving for only a few minutes, the tire suddenly burst. I don't know if it was because the car itself was broken or for some other reason.
The little boy felt the bumps of the car and began to sob softly again: "Brother, please don't abandon me..."
The location of the base is very remote. Apart from the abrupt repair shop used as camouflage on the ground, all that can be seen is uninhabited wasteland.
After driving for a while, the car stopped moving completely.
Afraid of being caught up from behind again, Yu Leng had no choice but to drag Lu Jiamu out of the car and walk with the little boy to find a place to hide.
The little boy followed them as far as he could, but he cried even louder.
At first, Yu Leng thought he was annoying because of his noise, and after asking him to shut up several times without success, perhaps because he felt the person he was hugging was too heavy, or his wound was too painful, or because he felt too aggrieved, Yu Leng actually started crying too.
Half an hour later, Lu Jiamu slowly opened his eyes. He looked dazed and weak, and his whole body was limp.
Yu Leng had already finished crying, and when she saw that he had woken up, she said sarcastically, "I thought you were in trouble and were planning to sleep forever."
Lu Jiamu blinked and made some sounds tentatively. Seeing that it did not turn into a strange cry, he began to speak: "No. I'm sorry."
Lu Jiamu noticed that Yu Leng was angry and heaved a sigh of relief: "I didn't intend to cause trouble, but they said they would lock me up. I suddenly lost my mind and got you into trouble."
It was rare to hear him apologize so sincerely. Yu Leng's anger subsided a lot.
But then Lu Jiamu said, "But they actually have the ability to temporarily block abnormalities. Although it's a bit hard to distinguish between friend and foe, it does seem very useful. Maybe this thing can help us. Have you seen this research?"
How could there be such a person? He was almost kidnapped for research before, and now he just woke up from a coma. Is the first thing he does is to steal other people's trade secrets?
However, based on Yu Leng's understanding of him, he felt that it was reasonable for him to think this way, so he was not angry again.
"No, I didn't have the permission to read this kind of information. I took a computer from them, but it might have a self-destruct program, and the data was cleared after leaving the base." Yu Leng glanced at the little boy not far away and asked with a sneer, "Do you know how much trouble you have brought?"
Hearing that he was in trouble, the little boy started crying again.
When Lu Jiamu heard the voice, he knew without even looking that the other person was talking about the little boy in the base.
Lu Jiamu tilted his head and said weakly: "It shouldn't be a big trouble. If it was a big trouble, you would have thrown him away long ago."
After listening for a while, thinking about how they hadn't figured out what was wrong with him at the base, Lu Jiamu asked again: "Is his abnormality that he keeps crying?"
"No." Yu Leng replied, "His abnormality is that he is an unlucky guy. It will be unlucky to get too close to him."
It turned out to be an abnormal ability in probability. They had seen the ability to manipulate probability before, and the powerful probability rule book was still fresh in their memory.
Lu Jiamu subconsciously thought that the little boy was a seeded player.
"Can he control himself?"
Yu Leng raised his eyebrows regretfully: "No."
"It's better to let him go back by himself."
Perhaps because he could empathize with the little boy's grievances, Yu Leng felt a little too much sympathy for him and shook his head: "If we ask him to go back now, he may not really go back obediently. In addition, he doesn't know the way and may die on the way."
Thinking of the superb sewing skills that Lu Jiamu had shown before, Yu Leng pointed to his shoulder and said, "I was very lucky. I walked into his shooting range at that time, but that person didn't want to kill me directly, and the bullet didn't stay inside. But my wound was torn again and needed to be sutured."
His shoulders were covered with a layer of black stuff, probably wood ash. The bleeding might have been stopped, but it would still ooze out if he moved.
Lu Jiamu still has some impression of what happened at that time.
Lu Jiamu rubbed his forehead: "We have to go to the hospital quickly."
Yu Leng shook his head: "This place is too remote, there is no hospital at all. And if we go to the hospital now, we might be caught. If we are caught and taken back, we might go straight to the laboratory."
It is impossible for a regular hospital to treat gunshot wounds honestly.
Lu Jiamu knew that he wanted him to help him treat his wound, and thought he was stupid: "I'm not good at sewing living people, and I don't have the tools here. And this kind of wound can't be sewn directly, right?"
“There may be residents nearby.”
Lu Jiamu wanted to say something, but Yu Lengleng saw through him in advance: "Surgery is a delicate job. I can't control others when they are doing surgery."
Lu Jiamu took back what he wanted to ask, touched his pocket, took out a small bottle of medicine and handed it to Yu Leng: "They may think I want to take this medicine, so they left it for me after the examination. Take some, and then we will find a small hospital."
Yu Leng took the small medicine bottle and saw the words "hemostatic" on the bottle label. He was very surprised: "Where did it come from? Are you still taking this? Are you bleeding internally?"
This was the medicine he had looted on the train in the last life. Since Lu Jiamu fed him it every time, he just carried it with him.
I guess it would be better for the other person not to recall that painful memory.
Lu Jiamu shook his head, signaling him not to ask.
Yu Leng glanced at the instructions and took a few pills according to the dosage: "You are too heavy, I really can't carry you. Since you are awake now, let's get ready to go quickly."
Lu Jiamu narrowed his eyes, sat there, took a few deep breaths, and said, "I'm fine."
The two people supported each other and stood up.
After standing up, Lu Jiamu found that one of his legs was almost immobile. He pinched the leg bone and found that it seemed to be broken. It was just that the anesthetic had not completely worn off, so he could not feel the pain.
I don’t know how it was done.
Yu Leng watched him checking his legs and did not mention what had happened before. He just urged him to leave quickly in a dry voice.
The two men supported each other and moved forward along the road. The little boy followed far behind, not daring to get too close.
Fortunately, before dark, a jeep finally passed by this road.
The two men immediately waved and tried to stop the car.
The car slowed down when it passed by them, as if it was waiting to see, but soon stopped.
The people in the car ignored the fact that the two of them were covered in blood, and suddenly lowered the window and enthusiastically invited them to get in.
Lu Jiamu noticed that there was a small sailboat-like object tied to the jeep, which should be a water toy prepared by the owner for an outing, so he said to Yu Leng: "Don't let the child get in the car."
Yu Leng thought so too. If the little boy was allowed to get on the car, the car might face some unknown risks.
After a while, the owner and his family lowered the boat for the little boy to sit on, and tied the boat to the back of the car with a rope.
As the car started moving, the boat was towed behind. The little boy was curious and scared, thinking it was some kind of game, so he stopped crying and carefully huddled in the boat.
Apart from the boat capsizing a few times, there were no other major accidents along the way, and they entered the city smoothly.
After entering the city, the two men were so dirty that they looked like beggars and dared not show their faces in public.
Yu Leng first asked the car owner to take the laptop computer, whose data had been cleared, to a second-hand computer shop and exchange it for some money.
They did not dare to go to a large regular hospital, but fortunately, there were some small advertisements for hemorrhoidectomy posted by unofficial clinics on the station signboard, providing them with the exact contact information of some small clinics in the city that were not very respectable.
Holding the car owner's cell phone, Lu Jiamu rolled down the window and looked at the ads carefully. Then he dialed the numbers on them one by one, vaguely asking the other party if they were willing to deal with the injury.
Soon, he contacted a small clinic willing to treat trauma, asked for its location, and finalized the consultation time and medicine costs.
The car owner immediately changed his route and drove into an alley in the city.
Before getting off the car, Yu Leng felt that he was not a completely evil person, so he left part of the money from selling the computer to the owner to compensate for his small sailboat whose bottom had been worn out.
In order to prevent the little boy from causing bad luck, Yu Leng asked him to wait here with the small broken boat.
At the end of the alley, a fat man with a shabby look on his face had been waiting there.
Seeing two dirty and bloody people limping over, the fat man was not surprised at all, and asked them enthusiastically: "Are you the two who just called?"
Yu Leng was a little nervous at first, worried that the other party would call the police. But after seeing the fat man, he read a bit of complacency from him, which made him feel very puzzled, and his eyes twitched.
Lu Jiamu answered without any hesitation: "Yes, it's us."
The fat man turned around and led the way: "You two, follow me."
The fat man is the attending physician of a black clinic. Apart from advertising hemorrhoidectomy, he also dabbles in some shameful things.
He called me suddenly so late at night and asked vaguely about the treatment of the external injuries. Although he didn't say it explicitly, I knew it was some trivial matter involving gangsters.
Otherwise, if there is a serious injury, why don't you go to a regular hospital? It's nothing more than fearing that the wound will be found to be problematic and the hospital will call the police.
Most black clinics are afraid of causing trouble or accidentally killing someone with the treatment, so they won't bother with such matters.
But he is different. He believes that he has superb medical skills and can cure any disease and make any money.
The fat man led them into a small room in the dilapidated old building.
The small room was filled with a wide variety of medical equipment. A woman in a nurse's uniform was sorting out the equipment.
Seeing someone coming in, she immediately came forward and first noticed Lu Jiamu, who was limping and had the most obvious injury, and quickly asked softly, "Are you injured in your leg?"
Lu Jiamu nodded.
The nurse came over and carefully checked him and found two small wounds on his legs, but she couldn't tell how they were caused.
She didn't pay too much attention to this minor injury, but was more concerned about the reason why he was limping: "Is it a fracture?"
The fat man immediately responded: "I'll connect your bones first and put on some plaster? The price is right."
He pointed to the detailed fee list posted on the wall.
Lu Jiamu didn't expect that this fat man was actually a versatile person: "You can also correct bones?"
"Yes. Of course I can." The fat man gave himself a thumbs up. "Ancestral craft, passed down for six generations."
Lu Jiamu looked at him for a moment and smiled: "You'd better really know how to do it."
The fat man keenly sensed the threat from the other person's smile, as if he was saying to him bluntly: If you lie to me, I can break your neck even by hopping on one leg.
This person may be a ruthless person.
However, anyone who can come to a black clinic in the middle of the night to treat injuries is generally a ruthless person.
"Don't worry." The fat man was full of confidence and pointed in the direction of the bathroom. "You can't touch water after the plaster is applied. How about you go take a shower now?"
It's a good idea. Lu Jiamu glanced at Yu Leng, and Yu Leng nodded. He then said, "Thank you. Do you have any clothes to change into?"
"Yes, hospital gowns. But they are charged separately."
"good."
Seeing that Lu Jiamu agreed, the fat man immediately ordered the nurse to get the hospital gowns and prepared to sell one set of clothes first.
Lu Jiamu went into the bathroom, and Yu Leng sat on the operating table, looking at them expressionlessly.
The fat man wanted to come over to check his wound, but because Yu Leng didn’t trust them too much, he was rejected: “I’ll wait for him to come out first.”
The fat man didn't care at all. He smiled obscenely and rubbed his hands: "No problem, no problem. But here we pay first, then get treated."
Yu Leng took out the money from selling the computer and handed it to him: "Count it yourself to see if it's enough."
The fat man immediately said, "That's enough. Our fees are clear, unlike those black clinics. The extra money will be returned to you later."
Lu Jiamu quickly finished washing up and came out wearing a brand new hospital gown.
Driven by money, the fat man came over with great enthusiasm to have his bones set.
Although I don't know whether this craft has been passed down for six generations, it looks really professional.
The fat man saw that he didn't say a word while setting the bones, and thought to himself that this man was indeed cruel.
But he was just a black doctor, and the patient's condition had nothing to do with him. He directed the nurses to run around and smiled as he prescribed another bottle of calcium tablets: "Little brother, you must take more calcium in the future, otherwise this bone will break if you fall."
The two of them worked together and quickly put on the plaster, and the fat man thoughtfully prepared a pair of crutches for him.
Lu Jiamu did not try to move immediately, but instead folded his arms and continued to sit there staring at them.
Although he was wearing a hospital gown, had a plaster cast on and was using crutches, the fat man felt that this ruthless man had not lost any momentum at all. When he stared at him, he was like a ghost following him from behind.
The two men walked up to Yu Leng again and turned on the surgical light on the small operating table.
Yu Leng was in a very miserable state at this time. The blood that had flowed onto his clothes had dried on his body and he could not take them off immediately. There was also a strange black and brown substance on his shoulder.
The fat man wanted to tease him, but he held back and asked seriously, "Is it wood ash?"
Yu Leng nodded.
The fat man took tweezers and scissors and carefully cut the clothes near his wound into pieces, then took some cotton and began to slowly clean the stain.
As the ash and dried blood were cleaned up, the fat man saw the wound on his shoulder. It was a through wound with a tear in it.
The fat man broke out in a cold sweat.
This seems... this doesn't seem to be an ordinary wound?
The fat man originally thought that their story was a simple one where you stab me and I stab you, but now it seems that this is obviously not the case.
Although he had never seen a real gunshot wound, he felt that this wound looked like a gunshot wound. This was a very difficult patient, and it might bring trouble to his black clinic. He should have known better and would not have accepted the case.
But this incident was not enough for him to call the police.
Yu Leng was looking at him, and Lu Jiamu was also staring at him from behind. Although the fat man felt a lot of pressure, he still pretended that he didn't see anything and acted very normal: "Did you fall and get exposed?"
Yu Leng nodded immediately: "Yes."
The fat man took a deep breath and said, "It's not that serious. I just need to clean the wound, disinfect it, sew up the cracked area, and bandage it. It's a minor operation."
After he said that, he asked the nurse to quickly prepare the medical equipment.
Fatty didn't dare to neglect the ruthless man, and he cleaned the wound very carefully. It wasn't until the second half of the night that he completely bandaged it.
Yu Leng also changed into a new hospital gown, and the blood-stained parts of his body were wiped clean with cotton balls, making him look clean and tidy. He finally breathed a sigh of relief until now.
The fat man wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and asked if they needed intravenous drip.
Lu Jiamu had been staring at the fat man and the nurse intently from behind, on guard against them suddenly becoming upset and calling the police, and watching their handling process, he was already starting to feel sleepy.
Yu Leng immediately said, "No need."
The fat man nodded, took out a box of oral anti-inflammatory drugs, and then began to list the charges one by one, while the nurse was calculating with a calculator beside him.
After calculating, the fat man handed over the bill with a lewd smile: "Here, take a look."
Lu Jiamu took the bill, glanced at it, and indicated that there was no problem. Then the fat man started counting the money and gave them some change.
The two people took the medicine and immediately left the black clinic.
Being stared at by Lu Jiamu with a gaze that seemed to be real, the fat man felt very uncomfortable. He had to be extremely cautious the whole time, feeling that any small mistake he made would be seen by the other party and make him angry.
Now that he had finally made a fortune and sent the plague away, he was sincerely happy. After sending the two people out, he said enthusiastically: "Our charges are reasonable, and Sister Tong is honest. Come again next time if you need us!"
The two men ignored him, hurried downstairs, walked into the dark alley, and quickly left the black clinic.
The little boy in the alley had been waiting obediently there and didn't leave. When he saw the two of them coming out, he followed them from a distance holding the small broken boat.
All the belongings they had carried with them were confiscated by the base. They had no cell phones, no ID cards, and no idea where their homes were, so they could only sleep on the streets like beggars.
Yu Leng clutched the change that Dr. Hei had given him, lowered his head and walked into a 24-hour convenience store, bought three meals, a bottle of water, and a city map, and gave one of the meals to the little boy who was waiting in the distance.
The little boy tried to break the bamboo chopsticks, but they broke. However, he seemed to be used to this kind of thing, and he didn't cry this time, but used the broken chopsticks to eat rice.
After Yu Leng finished his meal, he swallowed an anti-inflammatory pill with mineral water, then spread the map on the ground.
He looked carefully and tapped the map a few times with his chopsticks uncertainly. "I saw on the computer that they have recorded four incidents involving abnormal power supply, including ours. It seems that they happened in these places."
He then relayed the details of the case that he had previewed at the time.
After listening to this, Lu Jiamu asked, holding his chopsticks in his mouth, "What do they have in common? For example, are they students from the same school?"
Yu Leng shook his head: "They are definitely not from the same school. The only thing they have in common seems to be that they are underage and are engaging in recreational activities."
Then they just found out that this monster hated children playing games. Apart from that, there was almost nothing useful.
Lu Jiamu thought for a moment and said, "The four incidents were all separated by about a week?"
Yu Leng nodded: "Yes."
"Although these attacks seem to be random, I think there should be some way to predict them. Otherwise, we wouldn't have witnessed an accident as soon as we arrived."
"Um."
"If there's any difference this time, it's that the four of us weren't sent together. Maybe we were actually very close to each other before, but now we can't find our way back immediately."
When someone was electrocuted in the Internet cafe, they were captured by the researchers at the base without even leaving the main door. In order to prevent them from finding their way, they were not allowed to see any of the outside environment along the way, so even if the two knew the approximate location of the Internet cafe, they could not find their way back.
What's more, there might be someone watching you next to the Internet cafe.
"But I think it's more likely that the two of them were sent to the location where the next accident will happen."
"If we could find them now, we wouldn't be in such a miserable situation." Yu Leng sighed, "It seems that they will monitor the power grid, but if we wait until something happens before we go there, it will be too late."
"Yeah." Lu Jiamu actually still has something in mind for the base. "In addition to monitoring the power grid, their thing that can temporarily block abnormal abilities is also very useful. If they can take it out, it will be of great help to us. I also wrote down the contact information."
"If you want to die, don't take me with you."
Lu Jiamu refocused his attention on the map, swiped a few times on the location that Yu Leng had clicked before, and finally clicked on a location close to the center of several incidents: "I heard before that when people commit crimes, they will prioritize locations within their psychological safety range. Monsters may have the same idea and will choose this area next time. Why don't we print some missing person notices tomorrow and post them nearby?"
At the moment they don't have a mobile phone and don't know the contact information of the other two people, so posting a missing person notice seems to be the best solution.
But Yu Leng still had some concerns: "Those people might be nearby. Will we be caught when we post the missing person notice?"
Lu Jiamu glanced at the little boy licking his lunch box in the distance and said, "Let him go."
Yu Leng felt that if they let that unlucky guy go, they would be caught immediately.
Lu Jiamu clicked on the map again and changed his tone: "We don't actually know where the two people are right now, and there are still many places where we need to distribute flyers. Since he is prone to bad luck, let him go here and we can go to the other side."
Yu Leng felt that this made a lot of sense. The number of field personnel sent out by the base to roam outside was limited. If the unlucky guy was good at attracting thunder and attracted everyone away, it would be the safest for them: "What should be written on the missing person notice?"
Lu Jiamu thought for a moment and drew a clock-like pattern on the ground with chopsticks, but there was only one pointer on the dial: "In order to avoid attracting attention, don't write the details, just draw this. It's not conspicuous but very clear. If they see it, they will understand."
"As for where to meet... I'll go over there tomorrow and take a look. I'll choose a park or a supermarket."
The dial he drew looked like something a child had drawn, and it was indeed inconspicuous.
Yu Leng reminded him again: "We don't have much money."
Lu Jiamu comforted him, "Even if we steal, rob, or perform on the streets, we won't starve to death. Besides, we may find them soon."
After quickly finalizing all the details, Yu Leng yawned, folded the map, put it away, leaned against the bridge arch and closed his eyes.
The anesthetic he had received at the black clinic had not worn off yet, so his shoulder wasn't hurting much at the moment, so it was a good opportunity for him to get some sleep before daybreak.
Lu Jiamu's legs had started to hurt and he couldn't fall asleep, so he held his crutches and stared outside the bridge.
In the early hours of the morning, when the bus just started running, Lu Jiamu woke up Yu Leng and the little boy again.
The three of them got in the car and headed towards the city center.
When they arrived near the location where the four previous accidents occurred, they got out of the car again.
The two men left the little boy outside and went to the supermarket to buy paper, pen and tape. Then they asked the store owner for the store's landline phone number in a nice and pitiful manner, and told him that someone might call in the afternoon and asked him to help write it down.
The shop owner saw that both of them were wearing hospital gowns and one of them was using a crutch. He also heard that they had lost their family when they went to the city and were looking for them, and that they couldn't even afford a cell phone. So he felt very sympathetic towards them and agreed to their request.
Before leaving, Yu Leng sold three more buns. After leaving, he divided the remaining change into twenty yuan and gave it to the little boy. He also gave him a paper, pen, map and buns. After teaching him how to draw flyers, he took him to a crossroads and said, "Choose a direction to distribute them. Just walk around wherever you like and post one every few steps. Come back at night. Be careful not to get caught by others."
Seeing that Yu Leng had given him things and money and asked him to do something, the little boy's cat-like eyes lit up. After hesitating for a moment, he chose a direction and trotted over with a pen and paper.
Yu Leng looked at Lu Jiamu: "Will you choose one too?"
Lu Jiamu took a pen and paper, chose a direction and set off.
Seeing that they had all left, Yu Leng drew a table and left his phone number on a piece of paper while walking in the last direction.
**
After running for a while, the little boy quickly and conscientiously drew a clock on a piece of paper, left a phone number, and posted it on the side of the road.
This was the first time he ran outside alone. His cat eyes of different colors were full of excitement, and he quickly drew another picture and pasted it on the wall.
As he was running happily, he suddenly noticed several children about his age walking on the road with their parents carrying schoolbags.
The little boy kept Yu Leng's teachings in mind and hid immediately for fear of being discovered, but his eyes were full of envy as he looked at those people from afar.
The elder brother didn't tell him where to go, but just told him to paint wherever he liked. The little boy thought about it, and followed the other kids while painting and pasting.
