Chapter 44 The Bloody Wedding 15

Chapter 44 The Bloody Wedding 15

"Holy shit! Holy shit!" the monkey cursed under his breath, staring blankly at the endless stream of skeletons approaching. "What the hell is this prop? You've really screwed me over!"

Not hearing a reply, the monkey turned its head in confusion.

Lu Cen and the skull stared at each other, their knuckles ossified yet exceptionally sharp. After cutting the rope, it hoisted Lu Cen and carried him outside. The skulls outside parted to make way, and in the blink of an eye, it disappeared.

"Damn!" The monkey stared in disbelief. "What about me? What am I supposed to do?"

Lu Cen never had a chance to take off his shirt. The skeleton leaped through the mountains without stopping, and behind it, the skeleton horde and the infant corpse followed closely without showing any signs of fatigue.

Soon, they arrived at a valley.

The inside was shrouded in mist, so thick that you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.

Lu Cen was already completely unconscious. Being upside down made him extremely uncomfortable, and even moving a finger was difficult. He didn't know how much time had passed before he was placed on a large rock. This skeleton was probably very powerful. Behind it, all the corpses were restless, and many infants showed greedy expressions, as if they wanted to taste Lu Cen.

However, due to the presence of the skeleton, they always kept a few steps away.

The skeleton approached Lu Cen's neck, its teeth slightly parted, and bit into a piece of skin. Blood seeped into its mouth, and it seemed excited, biting even harder. The stinging pain brought Lu Cen back to some of his senses.

When I looked up, my heart almost stopped.

The pain was so clear that he could feel that the skeleton wanted to eat him, but it didn't bite through his carotid artery immediately, as if it was enjoying the process of its prey dying.

The blood flowed more and more, and the withered hand pressed tightly against Lu Cen's shoulder. His body seemed to be enveloped in coldness, and Lu Cen trembled.

It was so cold; he had never felt so cold before.

It felt like being submerged in a giant block of ice, and breathing gradually became difficult.

Driven by the instinct to survive, Lu Cen pushed it.

The latter probably found him too annoying and also pressed his hand down.

Blood flowed onto his shirt and soaked through the stones beneath.

The light screen was directly in front of Lu Cen, and the buttons in the inventory were glowing faintly.

Lu Cen's eyes were unfocused, and he was barely maintaining his senses.

He wanted to take action, but he was weak and powerless.

"Player Lu Cen, you have lost too much blood and can only last for three more minutes at most."

Lu Cen closed his eyes, tried to lift his foot, and touched the inventory.

In an instant, all the standing skeletons and corpses fell to the ground in droves.

He curled up in a ball, his hands tightly covering his wound.

He was panting, afraid he would faint, so he pinched himself hard.

Suddenly, a noise came from above. Before Lu Cen could look up, a black object fell straight down. At that height, there was virtually no chance of survival.

His face was deathly pale, and he couldn't help but close his eyes.

After waiting for a long time without hearing the sound of landing, Lu Cen cautiously looked up. On the cliff, there were many strangely shaped trees. The monkey was very lucky and landed on one of them, but a branch pierced through his chest and he was pinned to the branch.

It's not much different from being dead.

Why are there both male and female skeletons?

All of them were skeletons, some missing arms and legs. 2277 was surprised by his keen observation: "How did you know there were men and women inside?"

"height."

Indeed, when they are standing, the male-to-female ratio is too skewed. Although the ratio of individual females to males is not much different, when the number is large, this is the only explanation.

Especially the skeleton that bites Lu Cen, which is already close to 1.9 meters tall.

Is this a burial ground for male corpses?

Xiao Qi didn't say anything, but Lu Cen already knew the answer. The fact that the monkey was pushed down from above further confirmed this guess.

Lu Cen couldn't hold on any longer and fainted.

His vital signs gradually disappeared, and white frost appeared between his brows.

The morning sunlight dispelled the chill of the valley, and the group hurried to the cliff. Su Lian said coldly, "Give me the rope!"

“Sir, the valley is dark and damp, your body can’t take it. We’ll go down to find the young master, you wait here for our news.”

"rope!"

Several ropes were thrown down the cliff, and small dots disappeared into the plane.

"Cough cough cough, find him! Turn the valley upside down if you have to, find him."

"yes!"

The noisy sounds made Lu Cen frown. He wanted to wake up, but he was trapped in a black fog. He felt himself being embraced by a warm embrace, and his neck was gently lifted. He felt at ease and, succumbing to his exhaustion, he fainted again.

When he woke up again, it was three days later.

"Oh dear, he's awake!" The maid looked at him with delight.

Lu Cen: "How come I... cough cough."

"Take a sip of water to moisten your throat first."

The cool water flowed down his throat, and Lu Cen felt much better. Before he could speak, the maid said, "Young master, you're finally awake! You don't know how worried the master has been these past few days. Several times I thought you wouldn't make it. But now it's all right, you're finally awake."

Where is Su Lianren?

"Young Master is sick. I stayed up all night watching over you yesterday and collapsed from exhaustion."

Lu Cen grew anxious, thinking of something else: "Where are my companions?"

"Don't worry, young master. We brought the eldest son back with us. His injuries are too severe, and he hasn't woken up yet. Also, Miss Chen is still missing."

Lu Cen propped herself up on her elbows, but as soon as she moved, she fell back onto the bed.

"Young master, please don't move. You're still weak and need to rest for a few more days before you can get out of bed," the maid said, covering him with a blanket.

"I want to go see Su Lian."

"Young master, you might as well go when you're better. The old man just took his medicine and fell asleep, so he should be fine. I'll go prepare some food for you, so please don't move."

After drinking a bowl of hot porridge, Lu Cen regained some strength, but he couldn't stay awake for long and fell asleep again. After two days of being in a daze, Lu Cen was finally able to get out of bed. He went to see Su Lian, who looked even worse than him, with a sickly face and hot breath.

Su Lie arrived at that moment, his face icy cold. Lu Cenxin tensed up and gave up her viewing spot. As she moved aside, her wrist was grabbed.

Lu Cen stumbled and bumped into his arms.

He hurriedly tried to get up, but was grabbed around the waist. Su Lian's maid was guarding the door. Lu Cen glanced at her, then at Su Lie.

"You don't want to be close to me?"

"Yes, you're about to become my sister-in-law, and naturally you don't want others to know about my past, especially my older brother, right?"

Lu Cen's waist felt like it was being twisted off: "Can...can you let go?"

"Let go? And then happily run into my older brother's arms?"

"He probably doesn't know you slept with me before. If he did, do you think he would feel about you? Would he still want to marry you?"

"Don't talk nonsense, when did I ever do such a thing?" Lu Cen quickly denied it, and breathed a slight sigh of relief when he saw that Su Lian showed no signs of waking up.
