Chapter Seventeen: School Ghost Stories 17

Chapter Seventeen: School Ghost Stories 17

The moment Xie Lin stepped into the office, his unique scent filled Lu Cen's nostrils—the aroma of books and ink, a scent that could only be detected at close range. Lu Cen was momentarily stunned, his heart began to race, and he grew nervous. He desperately hoped that Xie Lin would leave immediately, or that he was just there to pick something up and not specifically to arrest him.

The lights suddenly came on, illuminating the office. Xie Lin's footsteps approached, and Lu Cen instinctively held her breath, afraid to make a sound.

Through the curtains, a shadowy figure could be seen. He saw Xie Lin go to the desk and seemed not to have noticed him, so Lu Cen couldn't help but relax.

After waiting a while, Xie Lin grabbed something and prepared to leave. Suddenly, several short ringtones echoed throughout the office. Lu Cen frantically took out his phone, his face pale, and tried to turn it off, but it was too late; the ringtones gave away his location.

Xie Lin's footsteps turned and walked in his direction.

Lu Cen was on the verge of tears: "What should we do?"

I don't even know who they're asking.

When Xie Lin lifted the curtain, Lu Cen was standing there, dumbfounded.

The light illuminated the scene in the corner. Lu Cen was leaning against the wall, holding a phone. Xie Lin was silent for a moment, then asked him, "What are you doing here?"

"Hmm..." This kind of impromptu excuse, especially a lie, was too unfamiliar to Lu Cen. After thinking for a long time without coming up with a good reason, she finally blurted out a single word in a panic: "Play?"

"Playing here?"

Lu Cen was dumbfounded and could only bite the bullet and agree.

Xie Lin raised an eyebrow, unable to deny it: "Then tell me, what did you play?"

"..." Lu Cen's face turned red from holding back. What could they possibly be doing behind the curtains?

"Play by yourself?" Xie Lin's gaze fell on him, his hand brushed against the curtains, and then he pinched Lu Cen's chin.

Lu Cen was forced to tilt her head back. This action allowed Xie Lin to see a small patch of skin on Lu Cen's fair neck and chest, and his gaze paused.

He was a bit rough with his hands, and suddenly the force was a little too strong. Lu Cen frowned, feeling a little pained and uncomfortable. He wanted to turn his head and break free from his hand, but Xie Lin paused, touched him a couple of times, and then let go, commenting, "Quite a temper."

Lu Cen, who rarely lost her temper, was speechless.

Xie Lin: "Have you had enough fun?"

"Huh?" Lu Cen reacted and exclaimed "Ah" again, the former indicating doubt and the latter indicating certainty.

"Are you done playing and going back to the dorm? Or do you want to sleep with me?"

Lu Cen shivered and was about to walk past Xie Lin when Xie Lin, in a cruel move, tripped him. Caught off guard, Lu Cen staggered and lost his balance, falling towards Xie Lin, who caught him in a tight embrace. Lu Cen's nose bumped into Xie Lin's chest, and tears streamed down his face from the pain.

Xie Lin said seriously, "Why can't you even walk steadily?"

Lu Cen's nose was red, and he wiped his tears on Xie Lin. For the first time, he felt angry and gritted his teeth, saying, "You tripped over something dirty."

Xie Lin chuckled, patted Lu Cen's waist a few times, and then slapped Lu Cen's bottom: "Let's go back."

Lu Cen stared in shock, his eyes wide. Since he could remember, no one had ever spanked him. This person was truly...
