Chapter Six: School Ghost Stories 6
Lu Cen covered her mouth, not daring to make a sound.
The hot air sprayed onto my palm, gradually wetting it.
"—Crunch."
The sound of the dormitory door being pushed open was like thunder in the empty room. Lu Cen leaned nervously against the edge of the cabinet. Something had entered the dormitory and was moving back and forth.
Lu Cen's back tensed, and he felt his breathing becoming heavier and heavier.
After an unknown amount of time, the noise finally subsided. Lu Cen didn't dare to go out. In a daze, half-asleep, he heard a noisy sound outside, which made him more and more awake.
"Li Yan has disappeared."
"Qin Changyuan has also disappeared."
"Qin Changyuan wasn't involved in that matter, so why did he die?"
"Most people didn't get involved, so why do you think they died?"
"Stop arguing. The situation is getting worse. If this continues, we're all going to die."
"Isn't that obvious?"
"The question is how to solve it."
“I have an idea: as long as we can find a way to get out of the school, those things can't do anything to us.”
After a long time, someone said, "Let's give it a try."
Lu Cen only partially understood what he was hearing, but he knew that these people knew a lot of information and that it was related to Xiang Ming.
He had been in one position for a long time, and his whole body was numb. He wasn't very wary of humans, so when he moved his body, he made some noises. It was late at night, and the people were startled.
"who!"
"It seems to be coming from inside."
"Let's go take a look."
In such a tiny dorm room, in less than a minute, they spotted someone at the very bottom of the locker. Lu Cen squinted as the light shone on her.
"People from 603".
Why are you here?
Lu Cen crawled out, his limbs numb. The group of people, impatient, asked again, "Why are you here? We're asking you a question!"
Lu Cen was a little stunned by the yelling, and her eyes subconsciously turned to look at the person: "Why are you yelling at me?"
He simply expressed his doubts. Before his death, because of his illness, everyone from his family to his school to the medical staff cared for him and felt sorry for him. In addition, because of his good looks, he received even more care and attention.
He was used to being protected, and he didn't like this kind of attitude.
Seeing the light shining in his eyes, and his clear gaze fixed on him, the man felt inexplicably guilty and began to apologize: "I'm sorry..."
Others: "......"
Lu Cen then said, "Something was chasing me, so I ran here to hide."
"What is that?"
"I don't know, it was a dark shadow that dragged the people in my dorm away."
Everyone's expression changed, and the atmosphere became tense.
Lu Cen countered, "Do you know Xiang Ming?"
"Um."
"Was it him who dragged those people away?"
No one spoke.
Suddenly, the dormitory door was pushed open, and Su Yi'an walked in indifferently. She was clearly surprised to see Lu Cen there as well. A group of people surrounded Lu Cen, and Su Yi'an stepped forward, making an opening, and walked up to him: "What are you doing here?"
"We were chased here."
Su Yi'an gestured for them to talk tomorrow, then pulled Lu Cen to her dormitory.
"Are those people the ones who bullied Xiang Ming?" Lu Cen asked cautiously when they arrived at 609.
Su Yi'an said, "Perhaps."
"They said they wanted to leave the school."
Su Yi'an chuckled cryptically, "Let them be. Just avoid contact with them."
"That......"
Su Yi'an interrupted him: "There's an exam tomorrow. If you don't sleep, will you have any energy tomorrow?"
Lu Cen would remain silent and say, "I'm afraid to sleep."
He told Su Yi'an about what happened in the dormitory, and she comforted him, saying, "It's okay, it won't come back."
"Why?"
"Students who go to bed before midnight will disappear. Some people have seen it, just like you said. Not many people know about this condition."
Lu Cen didn't understand: "Why didn't you tell everyone?"
“Some people won’t believe it, it’s a waste of time and energy.” Su Yi’an yawned: “Alright, let’s go to sleep.”
Lu Cen lay down with many questions in his mind, and then drifted off to sleep.
He couldn't sleep soundly, always feeling like a pair of eyes were watching him.
