Chapter 58 Mental Hospital 10

Chapter 58 Mental Hospital 10

The light stung Lu Cen's eyes, and he instinctively closed them briefly before opening them again.

The fingers around his lips trembled slightly, and his blood seemed to freeze.

The whole process took only a few seconds, yet it felt as long as Lu Cen's entire life.

A strong hand swept past his eyes and then gripped his neck tightly.

Lu Cen was startled, her eyes filled with terror.

With a combination of dragging and pulling, Lu Cen was lifted into the air and then slammed against the wall.

The back of his head hit hard, making a loud thud. Lu Cen's head was buzzing, and he felt dizzy. He lost the ability to resist, and his hands hung limply down.

A dangerous glint flashed in Xu Xi's eyes: "Are you trying to ask how I found out about you?"

Lu Cen couldn't hear clearly, and a look of pain appeared on his face. His neck was lifted up by the force, and his slender fingers were just enough to grasp it, with the skin around his fingers slightly red.

Xu Xi leaned close to his ear and whispered something, but Lu Cen didn't hear it clearly. He even felt dizzy and a little nauseous.

The moonlight was cold and clear, its pale light reflecting into the room. Lu Cen's thin shoulders and body almost blended into the wall. His eyes were unfocused, revealing a sense of helplessness.

The handsome body of a young, inexperienced boy can easily steal anyone's heart.

Xu Xi stared at him speechlessly, then loosened her grip, and Lu Cen slid down the wall. Before he could even sit down completely, Xu Xi scooped him up again. Only then did he belatedly touch the back of Lu Cen's head, where a bump had already formed. Xu Xi said, "Sorry, I didn't control my strength well."

I don't know if this is true or false, or if it's just a simple expression of dissatisfaction with Lu Cen's behavior.

Xu Xi gently stroked the back of his neck and said softly, "Does it hurt? I'll be gentler next time."

Lu Cen felt a chill run down her spine from his tone, and realized that she was frozen in place.

The other person was still wearing a white coat, but it was covered with many tiny bloodstains, it was unclear whether they were Zhou Yang's or He Zhizhou's. His lips trembled as he said, "Cold..."

Xu Xi hugged Lu Cen tightly; Lu Cen was small, so there wasn't a single gap between them.

Lu Cen felt extremely anxious, wondering what Xu Xi was up to.

So he spoke softly, yet fearfully: "You...you're going to kill me?"

Xu Xi paused for a moment, then turned her head to look at him: "Are you scared?"

Lu Cen was speechless. "How about I try killing you?"

He remained silent for a long time: "If you're afraid, will you not kill me?"

Xu Xi stroked his earlobe with her fingertips, admiring the gradual reddening there. She thought about it seriously for a moment and said, "That probably won't work. I can make sure you die without pain."

Lu Cen felt a chill run down his spine. Looking at Xu Xi's face, he suddenly realized that compared to the murderer, this person was more terrifying to him, and his thoughts were more unfathomable.

"Or, you can choose how you want to die."

Lu Cen's heart sank, and he remained silent for a long time.

Xu Xi then supported his buttocks with one hand and led him out of the room.

The corridor was quiet, except for the sound of Xu Xi's footsteps.

Lu Cen discussed with him, "I can get down and walk by myself."

"Be good."

Lu Cen didn't want to give up, so she took a step back: "I really can."

Xu Xi: "We'll be there soon."

Lu Cen didn't understand what this meant until they took the elevator to the third floor. He Zhizhou was leaning against the wall, his hands and feet tied, and Zhou Yang was nowhere to be seen. The hooded man was standing at the nurses' station with his face covered in blood.

Perhaps it was the unpleasant smell, or for some other reason, he lifted his hood, revealing his face in its entirety. He had striking features and held the baseball bat casually. He looked up at the elevator and caught a glimpse of Xu Xi carrying someone out.

His expression changed, and he straightened up: "Where did you find it?"

"The wardrobe on the first floor."

He reached out to take it, and Xu Xi handed it to him without hesitation.

Upon seeing Lu Cen's appearance, the hooded man's expression changed again. He glanced at Xu Xi, and finally imitated Xu Xi, hiding the person inside his clothes.

Lu Cen was numb. He really hoped the world would end soon, and that he would be passed from one person to another like a toy.

Xu Xi frowned: "Where's the other person?"

He said, "I couldn't find it."

"Time is running out."

The hooded man stroked Lu Cen's smooth back and said to Xu Xi, "We've searched everywhere. Think about where else someone could be hiding."

"It should be on the first floor." Xu Xi turned and entered the elevator.

Before long, Zhou Yang was dragged up. He was in a slightly better condition than He Zhizhou, as he was clear-headed.

Lu Cen exchanged a glance with him, then looked away.

The entire space was as quiet as a graveyard. After an unknown amount of time, Zhang Tian emerged from somewhere, beaming, and said, "Everything is ready. Do you want to go take a look?"

Xu Xi glanced at the hooded man, then at Lu Cen in his arms: "If you like him, you still have some time."

Lu Cen's alarm bells rang loudly, unsure of what Xu Xi meant by those words.

The hooded man chuckled and countered, "I like him? Aren't you the one who likes him?"

Xu Xi didn't say anything and left with Zhang Tian. Two minutes later, they came back. At this time, the hooded man suddenly became crazy and took Lu Cen to the nurses' station.

The space was small, and the nurses' station was low, at Lu Cen's waist. The hooded man pressed down on his head, his palm against the bump on the back of his head, causing him to burst into tears from the pain. And that wasn't all; when his forehead pressed against the cold nurses' station, the pain was compounded.

This action sent chills down Lu Cen's spine. He had never been so afraid before. It was like a premonition of a massacre, telling him that what was about to happen was probably not so pleasant.

Lu Cen looked back through his teary eyes and saw the wrist with two small moles. Then, he felt a heat source, hotter than he had ever encountered before.

He was terrified; he already had a premonition of what this person was going to do.

"No..." Lu Cen reached out to push him, accidentally knocking over a nearby jar, scattering the pens inside all over the floor with a clatter, making everyone's heart skip a beat with that "no".

Whether actively or passively, everyone's attention is drawn to the commotion there.

The hooded man leaned down and said, "Why not? Or do you want the person standing behind you to be Xu Xi? Or some good-for-nothing lying unconscious on the ground?"

When Xu Xi was called out, his eyelids twitched. He glanced at the spot, neither stopping it nor leaving. He just stayed there quietly, cold and indifferent, as if the upcoming event had nothing to do with him and he didn't care.

A wet touch came from my earlobe, and my wrist felt as if it had been snapped.

Lu Cen originally thought that such things were already hard to accept, but the hooded man proved that there were things even more terrifying than this. With so many people watching, Lu Cen suffered both mental and psychological torment.

He shook his head frantically, sobbing uncontrollably.

The pitiful sobbing drew everyone's attention again. Zhou Yang coughed, blood spilling from his mouth. He tried to stand up, but Zhang Tian stepped on his chest.

The hooded man wrapped his arms around Lu Cen's waist, already somewhat engrossed in the act. Lu Cen's panic intensified; even the strands of his hair resisted. Realizing it was futile, he grabbed the man's fingers, crying and pleading, "Please... let's go somewhere else, okay? Let's go somewhere else..."

The hooded man looked down. The other man's eyelashes were wet with tears, his eyes were unusually beautiful, and his body was flushed. But for some reason, looking at Lu Cen like this, it felt as if a huge hole had been torn in his heart, and a cold wind was howling in. When he saw that everyone around them was watching them, the hooded man felt an indescribable emotion welling up inside him. It seemed like heartache, it seemed like helplessness. In the end, he hugged the boy who was crying so hard that he could hardly breathe, pressed him into his arms, his expression inscrutable, and patted him lightly on the back with his hand.

A strange light flashed in Xu Xi's eyes.

"What are you afraid of?" the hooded man said in a rough voice. "I haven't done anything yet, and you're crying like this. If I really did something, wouldn't your tears be flowing like a river?"
