Chapter 1: Trash Planet Falls from the Sky
cold.
It felt like the gaps between his bones were filled with ice chips, and An Zhi was shivering with cold.
She opened her eyes with difficulty, and saw nothing but gray.
The sky was choked by thick clouds, and the ground was littered with strange-shaped metal shells and many unrecognizable objects.
She sniffed, her throat was itchy, and she couldn't help coughing twice.
An Zhi vaguely thought that after being hit by the big truck, he seemed to feel cold, dark and painful.
An Zhi lay on the cold pile of metal garbage, his stomach empty and he felt dizzy from hunger.
She moved her frozen fingers, lowered her head, and saw a small hand.
This isn't her hand! She's already been admitted to junior high school!
An Zhi's tears suddenly welled up in her eyes and rolled around in her sockets. She tried hard to hold them back, but she couldn't cry, crying was useless.
Where the hell is this? Why is there so much garbage? This is terrifying!
"Woo..." A soft whimper could not be held back, with a baby voice.
An Zhi bit his lip and used all his strength to get up. The cold garbage hurt his knees.
She stumbled towards a pile of shells not far away that was piled high like a hill.
It's too windy here and catching a cold would be very uncomfortable.
She would be scolded for wasting hot water.
But she was so tired after taking every step, and the sound of metal fragments clattering could be heard in the garbage dump.
Suddenly, a clanging sound came from the wind, getting closer and closer.
An Zhi was so frightened that his whole body froze, like a kitten whose tail was stepped on. He quickly shrank behind a half-broken iron pipe next to him, hugged his knees tightly, and curled up into a small ball. He only dared to secretly show one eye and glance in the direction of the sound.

Old Kane, as usual, was looking for some scrap he could fix and sell to buy food. He was using a hook to pull out a tangle of wires, his old eyes scanning the area.
Suddenly, he stopped moving.
Huh? Something seemed to move behind that pile of broken iron plates. A small, grayish blob.
Old Kane frowned, dragged his feet, and approached cautiously.
The hook gently pushed aside the debris blocking the way, and behind the pipe, a little girl was curled up there.
She was wrapped in a large, ragged piece of cloth, her face blue from the cold. Her big, round eyes, like those of a frightened animal, were filled with fear and were watery as she stared at him intently, her little body trembling.
"Oh my God!
"Cub?! Where did this cub come from?! Damn it! Who is so wicked as to leave you here?!"
Old Kane rubbed his eyes hard, thinking he was seeing things.
He hurriedly took two steps forward, then stopped suddenly, afraid of scaring the poor little guy.
He squatted down, trying to keep his voice low. His rough hands reached out halfway and then retracted, rubbing them against his pants. His voice trembled:
"Be good? Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, grandpa is not a bad person. Tell grandpa, you, why are you here alone?
Where are your parents? Huh? "
An Zhi curled up even tighter, his back pressed tightly against the cold iron pipe.
There seemed to be no ill intention in the old man's eyes, only surprise and a feeling that made her nose sore.
But she didn't dare believe it.
The cub's voice was shaking: "Cold... so cold... I'm hungry"
Old Kane's heart felt like it was pricked by a needle, feeling sore and painful.
He looked around and saw nothing but garbage and cold wind. There was no way the cubs could live well.
He rubbed his hands anxiously and kept muttering:
"What a sin! What a great sin! Who the hell did this? Don't be afraid, little one. Grandpa will take you away, take you home, and find you something to eat."
Go home? An Zhi heard this word vaguely, but a tall shadow suddenly flashed through his mind.
"dad"
A feeling of fear and instinctive resistance suddenly rushed over her, she shuddered, and her face turned even paler.
She has no father! No home!
It's too cold.
The cold air was trying hard to penetrate into my bones, and my stomach was aching with hunger.
An Zhi's vision began to blur. Just when she thought she was about to freeze to death or faint from hunger, her chest suddenly warmed up without warning.
The instinct for survival overwhelmed all the fear and chaotic memory fragments. Just before An Zhi felt that he was about to be frozen and fainted from hunger, and his consciousness was about to sink into the dark abyss -
A faint warm current surged from deep within her chest.
It was like a sleeping seed that was awakened by the desire to survive in the cold and weakness.
A small ball of warm light gently lit up in her heart.
An Zhi uttered a "hmm" in a daze, unconsciously clutching the rag on his chest.
The warmth grew clearer and more comfortable. Finally, a soft, pure, emerald white light blossomed. The light wasn't blinding, like a small, moonlit ray quietly falling.
The halo quickly condensed and solidified, and in the blink of an eye, a small mushroom the size of a palm, as white as jade, appeared out of thin air.
The round and plump cap looks like a snow hat, and the short and thick white stem has circles of lines on it.
The patterns are outlined in light gold, similar to the pleats on xiaolongbao.
An Zhi pinched it subconsciously, and it felt soft and chewy.
The most amazing thing is that the surface of the umbrella cover is dotted with tiny golden-green stars, making it look like an exquisite white jade ornament - the most common fortune-attracting cabbage.
At this moment, it was quietly nestling beside An Zhi's cool hand.
At the moment the little mushroom appeared, a warm, peaceful, and vibrant gentle wave quietly spread out like ripples.
Old Kane was frantically unbuttoning his equally thin, old coat.
A feeling of warmth and peace suddenly surged into his heart for no apparent reason.
My heart, which had clenched at the sight of the pitiful cub, felt as if gently soothed by a gentle hand, leaving only the pure urge to protect this tiny life before me. Even the strange smell of the surrounding garbage faded a little.
An Zhi also felt it.
The bone-chilling cold was dispelled a lot by the sudden appearance of the little mushroom.
A warm current spread along her little hand that was pressed against the mushroom. It felt so comfortable and unreal, like a dream.
An Zhi suddenly forgot his fear and looked down at the little mushroom that suddenly popped out in his arms.
The mushroom couldn't speak, but it shook slightly in response to her.
An Zhi bravely poked the mushroom cap, and it felt like the most delicious marshmallow.
Although she had never eaten it, An Zhi firmly believed that it was soft and slightly bouncy, and apart from the unreachable clouds, it could only be marshmallows.
The mushroom's cap shook in the air, and "puff puff" spurted out several translucent spores emitting a soft golden-green light.
These spores were extremely light, like small jellyfish, swaying and floating away, and like real foam, they instantly blended into her skin and disappeared.
