Chapter 5 The Only Bloodline
The night on Garbage Planet was dead silent and cold, with only the occasional muffled barking of dogs coming from deep within the slums.
The light in the cabin is like a small boat in the ocean that may capsize at any time. It is dim but stubbornly on, guarding the treasure it has just picked up.
**
Capital Star, the Eternal City.
Deep in the palace, the highest power and will of the empire gathered together, and at this moment there was an atmosphere of excitement that was almost out of control.
The Prime Minister of the Empire, the highly respected Lord Soren von Liott, was clutching the golden ribbon that symbolized the power of the Empire.
"His Majesty"
Prime Minister Soran's voice was choked with sobs. He raised his sleeves to wipe the tears from his face, but the more he wiped, the more tears came.
He looked at the golden spot of light on the screen, which was as dazzling as the morning star, and then looked at the figure standing in front of the screen, who was always straight. He was so excited that he spoke incoherently:
"The induction is correct. It is the royal bloodline! Pure Etheran bloodline! God bless the Empire! God bless the Star Crown, Your Majesty!"
Behind him, several equally powerful cabinet ministers tried their best to maintain their composure, but each of their faces was filled with shock and ecstasy.
Their eyes were fixed on the golden light, as if it was the only treasure in the universe.
"That's right! God bless the Empire!" The Finance Minister's beard stood up in excitement.
"Yes, yes!" another Privy Councilor interjected, his tone somewhat dreamily. "Your Majesty has gone to the trouble of sending a message in the middle of the night to summon us all... Don't you all understand the profound meaning behind this?"
He lowered his voice, his tone mysterious, "Your Majesty is probably even more nervous about this bloodline than we are! After all, it is... it is our only hope!"
"The only hope!" The old general in the military also had tears in his eyes.
He was filled with excitement when he thought of the scene where the cub was solemnly taken back to the capital planet under the escort of the Imperial fleet.
“When she comes back, we must hold the grandest welcoming ceremony!
The whole empire will be in an uproar!"
"There is also the issue of education!" The old elder of Wenshu Temple had a fanatical glint in his eyes.
From interstellar history to etiquette, from mecha control to mental guidance, every detail must be strictly controlled!
I want her to become the most perfect heir to the empire!"
Prime Minister Sauron looked at everyone with satisfaction as they talked about their aspirations. He stroked his heart, which was still trembling with excitement, his eyes full of love and expectation.
He seemed to have seen how innocent, cute, pure and flawless the little Eslan, who symbolized the future of the empire, would be.
"She's still so young..." Prime Minister Soran murmured to himself, his eyes full of tenderness. "She must have suffered a lot on such a chaotic garbage planet..."
When she comes back, I will give the child the best!
The softest bed, the most delicious and nutritious meals, the most beautiful starry sky dress... and the best toys too!
What would she like? A furry interstellar beast? Or the latest companion robot?
The more Soran thought about it, the more excited he became. He even forgot that a certain tyrant was still standing in front of the screen, not saying a word.
All the ministers were immersed in endless fantasies about the "little Eselan" whom they had never met.
They were looking forward to seeing with their own eyes the last of the Etheran bloodline in the world being held in the palm of their hands and lavished with all the love and care.
They couldn't help but imagine how the usually cold Emperor would behave when facing his closest blood relatives.
After all, that was the living little Eslan!
Who wouldn’t want to see it?
Some people secretly pinched their palms to make sure this was not an overly beautiful dream.
God knows how long they have been waiting for this day!
Ever since the legendary founding emperor of the Star Crown Empire, His Majesty Ignasiel Etheran, swung his sword to sever the darkness, the Etheran family has been protecting the empire with its powerful strength.
However, a curse that seems like fate.
The Etheran family has never had many descendants.
First, let’s talk about the common causes of the disease of the time, which we will not mention for now.
Being active on the front lines all year round, his mental strength naturally wears out very quickly.
But who can persuade the little princes?
Eselan, the pure-blooded Eselan, seemed born to protect his people.
They often rush to the most active Zerg front to kill the enemy without waiting to enter the mature stage.
After all, Eselan's powerful mental strength always makes him invincible when fighting against Zerg invasions.
But every emperor was a man of long-lasting love, and was devoted to only one queen throughout his life, and was loyal to her forever.
This deep affection was praised as a good story in the empire, but it also became the biggest hidden worry for the empire's inheritance - the lack of offspring.
Bloodline is the core keel that maintains the empire's giant ship.
This heavy worry hangs on the hearts of every important official in the empire, and becomes heavier as time goes by.
When it came to their generation, the current Emperor, His Majesty Aiden Eselan, made all the ministers who hoped that the empire would have successors and the bloodline would continue to flow into complete despair.
His Majesty Aiden, the emperor whose iron-fisted tactics, thunderous methods, and absolute power terrified the entire star region and instilled fear in the Zerg, at his coming-of-age ceremony, facing the eager expectations of the entire Imperial Senate and Senate, he coldly and decisively announced a decision:
He had no interest in romantic matters, nor did he have any desire to marry or have children.
When these words were spoken, the whole country was in an uproar, but no one dared to say a word.
Who dares to persuade?
Who is His Majesty Aiden?
He was a man who could silence the bravest generals with his eyes, and who, if he was in a bad mood, could drive the Empire's most advanced starship, the "Arbiter", to the front line and personally chop the Zerg hive into cosmic dust.
He never asks for permission when he kills Zerg, just based on his mood.
Often, while the Imperial Army was still formulating battle plans, news had already arrived from the front lines that His Majesty had single-handedly wiped out an entire starfield insect nest.
Every time His Majesty was in a bad mood and went to the front to relax, the hearts of the imperial military leaders and cabinet ministers would go through a roller coaster of torture. They would urgently mobilize the fleet for escort, although His Majesty often thought they were slow, and frantically search for powerful heart-saving pills.
We also have to pray that His Majesty enjoys chopping wood and comes back soon to deal with the pile of government affairs.
The extinction of the royal family may be just a regret for other royal families, but for His Majesty Aiden, it has almost become an unspeakable and terminal illness that worries the top officials of the empire day and night.
They watched helplessly as time passed year after year, and His Majesty's heart was as firm as a rock, showing no signs of loosening.
They are all ready to pack up and return to their hometown after a hundred years.
And just today, the alarm in the blood sensing room, which had been silent for decades, exploded!
The golden light that symbolizes life and the future of the empire lit up like a miracle!
Prime Minister Sauron looked at the light screen, then at the emperor's silent and cold back like a mountain. Great ecstasy and long-suppressed grievances and worries burst out in an instant, and he cried like an old man who finally found his long-lost grandchildren.
"Your Majesty! Look! The sensor room doesn't lie!"
It's your blood!
The empire finally has an heir! We have waited so long."
He was so excited that he could hardly breathe. A minister next to him hurriedly supported him, his own eyes also red.
Aiden Esseran still had his back to everyone.
The pure black imperial uniform perfectly wrapped his tall and straight body, and the hem of his clothes did not move at all.
He stood in front of the huge light screen, only a few inches away from the golden light.
The hand with distinct joints, which had clenched the light blade countless times and reaped the lives of the Zerg, was clenched loosely. The suppressed sobs and ecstatic whispers in the room seemed to be floating in the air.
No sense of reality.
Aiden blinked slightly.
He originally suspected that there was something wrong with the broken machine.
Invite more people to come and take a look.
In this world, the few Eselans who were most closely connected to him had all been dead for decades.
Suddenly one appeared from nowhere, brand new, pure, and clean.
Guilty blood?
