Chapter 22 Your heart is beating so fast!
Throughout the entire haunted house, Chi Chen was constantly being chased by ghosts.
Sometimes, before Xu Yan could even see clearly, Chi Chen would drag her into the next trap.
Xu Yan thought Chi Chen was really strong.
Every time I walk, I get picked up and carried away in various different ways.
But even though Chi Chen was so afraid, he stubbornly refused to use the exorcism token.
He still remembered that Xu Yan wanted a souvenir.
Finally, they passed through a narrow passage and arrived at a door marked "morgue".
Below, there is a small, rusty piece of metal with a note on it.
If you are caught by a ghost in this room, you will be separated from your companions and have to go through it again. You can use an exorcism talisman.
Chi Chen hugged Xu Yan tightly in fear. He knew very well that if the ghost really separated them, he would probably be so scared that he would immediately back away.
Xu Yan was almost suffocating from being choked. He patted Chi Chen's hand to help him relax, then walked to the door and carefully opened the iron gate.
After all the close encounters along the way, this time it was much quieter.
There were only four beds in the morgue, each with an arched shape, as if a person were lying on it.
The bed closest to the next door was empty.
The door next to the empty bed is labeled "Operating Room," and it is illuminated by a green light.
After they entered the morgue, the door behind them slammed shut automatically.
At the same time, the operating room lights turned red.
The sound of a huge chainsaw came from inside, and it was very realistic.
Chi Chen was still holding Xu Yan, trembling, "There's only one door here."
Xu Yan went over and pulled on the door but couldn't open it. Instead, an even more intense knocking sound came from behind the door.
"I think we should hide in bed and wait for the ghost to open the door, then we'll almost run into the operating room." Xu Yan thought for a moment and guessed what the checkpoint meant.
She thought she would have to coax Chi Chen a bit more, but unexpectedly the pressure on her suddenly loosened.
When he turned around again, Chi Chen was already sitting on the empty bed, patting the spot next to him, "Come on, brother."
"..." Xu Yan was speechless, then walked over and sat on the bed.
He didn't know what Chi Chen was expecting, since they had slept together before.
There's nothing you can do in a place like this.
The two grown men were still a bit crowded. After struggling to cover their heads with a thin white sheet, the operating room door in front of them suddenly opened.
The white cloth was very thin, and with the faint light from outside, it was just the right amount of light to let through and allow one to see outside.
They could see a disheveled staff member crawling menacingly around the room.
Then I started sniffing each bed one by one.
Xu Yan guessed that they shouldn't make a sound, so she gestured for Chi Chen to be quiet.
He turned his head and saw that Chi Chen had been staring at him expectantly.
The moment he lowered his hand, Chi Chen suddenly wiggled forward a little.
The moment her lips were covered, Xu Yan's mind went blank for a few seconds.
In the small, dark, enclosed space, the slight trembling caused by the other person's nervousness was very clear, but the force of their lips moving was not small.
Their breaths mingled, the surrounding temperature rose rapidly, and the thin air made their breathing even more rapid, leaving only the breaths exchanging between their lips and teeth.
Xu Yan wanted to break away and instinctively leaned back, but the back of his head pressed against the cold iron bed railing. Chi Chen held the back of his head tenderly and pulled him into his arms.
As the two were locked in a passionate kiss, the ghost appeared before their bed.
They held their breath in unison, and Chi Chen was so frightened that he hugged Xu Yan tightly.
The ghost's head was almost touching theirs.
Xu Yan suddenly and mischievously flicked Chi Chen's tongue, causing Chi Chen to shudder and almost make a sound.
The noise made the ghost linger for a few more seconds before it walked behind the bed.
Chi Chen released Xu Yan, staring at him with some resentment.
That was so exciting! It wasn't just the fear of ghosts, but also the tension of being seen kissing by others.
I never expected that Xu Yan, who seems so serious, would be involved in such a big scheme.
Xu Yan felt something pressing against her leg.
His face flushed slightly, and he could only ignore Chi Chen's gaze, focusing intently on where the ghost had crawled to.
When they reached the farthest point, he abruptly pulled back the white cloth, grabbed Chi Chen, and said, "Let's go!"
Chi Chen scrambled to his feet and rushed towards the operating room with Xu Yan.
At that very moment, a piercing scream came from the arched morgue next to them.
Suddenly, the bluish hand grabbed Xu Yan's arm.
Chi Chen screamed in fright, his body moving faster than his brain, and he slapped the staff member's hand.
The ghost, in pain, instinctively let go, allowing Xu Yan and Chi Chen to escape successfully.
Outside the operating room was still a long, dark corridor, but at the end of the corridor was a bright light.
This is the exit.
Chi Chen sped up considerably, pulling Xu Yan along as they ran to the door in one breath.
Once in the lounge, Chi Chen calmed down and realized his hands were shaking and his heart was racing, as if he were under stress.
Xu Yan, unusually kind, let him sit down and got Chi Chen a glass of water to help him calm down before they went to exchange souvenirs.
When the receptionist brought out two somewhat cartoonish male and female skulls filled with fake blood beads, Chi Chen regretted working so hard to exchange them for souvenirs.
If these two things were kept at home, he wouldn't dare go downstairs for a late-night snack anymore.
Xu Yan happily carried the small gift bag printed with the haunted house logo and walked out of the haunted house with Chi Chen.
Since it was still early, they queued up for the roller coaster and the giant swing... all thrilling rides.
Although Chi Chen could handle it, he still felt a little dizzy. Xu Yan, perhaps because she had been suppressing her feelings for too long, was having a great time.
They wanted to queue up again after they got off.
But seeing that Chi Chen looked pale, Xu Yan still accompanied him to queue for the Ferris wheel.
Chi Chen finally got a short rest.
Once on the Ferris wheel, Chi Chen took many photos; the dreamy decorations and bunny ear design were a perfect match.
Each image is meticulously composed, yet possesses an effortless naturalness.
Xu Yan in the video looks like a teenager, with a rare, usually indifferent expression, occasionally revealing a relaxed mood.
As they approached the top of the Ferris wheel, Chi Chen was organizing his thoughts.
He was thinking about how to coax Xu Yan into kissing him at the top of the Ferris wheel, because he'd heard that was the only way to stay together forever.
If you were to say it directly, you'd most likely be rejected. The idea that you only kissed her secretly in the haunted house is a bit opportunistic.
Let's use the same old trick again: suddenly kiss each other when we get close.
Thinking this, Chi Chen sat down next to Xu Yan. He raised his phone, pretending to want to take a selfie as before, but his voice betrayed a hint of nervousness, "Shall we take a picture at the top of the Ferris wheel?"
“Okay.” Xu Yan’s gaze swept across Chi Chen’s face, a hint of a smile in his eyes. He turned his head slightly, almost touching Chi Chen.
Chi Chen's heart began to beat faster involuntarily.
We're almost there.
Just a kiss on the cheek.
At the moment of reaching the highest point, Chi Chen turned his head unexpectedly.
The moment the shutter was pressed, it didn't touch the cheek, but the lips.
He stared wide-eyed at the person in front of him, who had their eyes closed and seemed unsurprised, even somewhat enjoying the moment.
As the other person straightened up, their lips, which had just been deeply kissed, were slightly swollen and red, but their eyes held a hint of smugness.
Xu Yan pressed her palm close to Chi Chen's heart, her usually aloof face now beaming with a smile. "Ah Chen, your heart is beating so fast."
A note from the author:

Young Chi Chen was completely defeated by the charming adult [doge emoji]. His feigned affections were no match for Yan Yan's casual flirtation.
