Chapter 85 Spicy Fried Crab

It took Feng Ran almost half an hour to finish collecting the dyed leaves, and at the same time, the water level of the slow-flowing stream dropped significantly.

Many small crabs slowly surfaced and crawled onto the rocks. Feng Ran tossed each of them a small bucket and told them to catch them quickly.

I'll go back and make spicy fried crab.

"Fish!"

A peach blossom fish swam over.

Two peach blossom fish swam over.

Several groupers swam over...

A group of fish swam over—

"Everyone, let's go online!" Feng Ran quickly took out a fishing net. Feng Nan returned, and Bai Lian ran downstream, using the net to get close to the bottom of the stream and begin casting.

Feng Ran and Ji Xiang refer to driving fish upstream.

They were all small fish, about the length of a palm.

Feng Ran has even figured out how she'll eat it!

Marinate, coat with batter, then deep-fry! Sprinkle with seasoning.

If it's not so fragrant it makes your teeth fall out, and so fragrant it makes your mouth water, then it's not Feng!

"White face! Go to the left! He's swum across!"

"good."

"Brother, get the net up quickly!"

...

The group enthusiastically scooped up several nets. Both small buckets were full.

Who even remembers crabs anymore!

Several people began to fish upstream along the river.

Before noon, they had already caught several buckets of small fish.

Feng Ran laughed so hard her eyes were almost closed. To avoid wasting time traveling back and forth, the group ate a quick lunch and then started catching crabs again.

Until finally reaching the top of the stream's source.

Water seeped from a mountain crevice. The crevice was very small; Feng Ran peeked inside. It was too narrow for a person to fit through. The group had no choice but to give up.

It was already past four in the afternoon. The group decided to head back home.

On the way back, since the fish and crabs were all alive, there was no room to put them. I had to carry them back.

"It's really heavy. Next time, we should bring Qi Xie with us."

Feng Ran swayed as she carried the bucket. She was sweating from exhaustion.

The others all had two buckets each and couldn't help Feng Ran carry them.

We can only ask her to hold on a little longer.

Finally home, Feng Ran was covered in sweat and asked Qi Xie to prepare the crabs. She went to take a shower.

When they came out of the shower, they had already washed more than half of the crabs.

Fengran added the fish; they weren't very big, so she simply removed the innards and gills. Fengran immediately started heating oil in a wok. She planned to fry the crabs first, then stir-fry them later to make spicy crab. As for the slightly larger fish that had been prepared, Fengran braised a large pot of them. The remaining smaller ones would be fried into dried fish tomorrow.

Sprinkle with cumin and chili powder later.

"Brother, start cooking the rice first. The rest of you, prepare the rest of the fish. We'll fry some small dried fish tomorrow." After saying this, Feng Ran added water to the braised fish, making sure it covered the fish and let it simmer.

I washed my hands thoroughly and found a clean, large container. I cut up oranges, kiwis, watermelons, apples, and tangerines and put them in, along with honey and lots of ice cubes.

It'll be perfect to drink it after everyone has finished eating!

As soon as the golden, crispy, and spicy little crabs came out of the pot, everyone started eating.

Everyone washed their hands and grabbed the small crabs, biting into their shells.

The crabs weren't very big, so I only did a simple cleaning and didn't remove the claws.

But with one bite, the caramelized and delicious flavor bursts out of your mouth.

Everyone was extremely satisfied!

"Hey, mine has crab roe!" Feng Ran looked curiously at the half-eaten crab shell.

“I have some too. Others also have a small amount of crab roe,” Feng Nangui said.

"Is it good, bro?"

"Um."

You've definitely never eaten this before.

"really."

"I've never had it before either. Okay, okay—" Feng Ran said happily, taking another bite of crab.

"I like it. I'll go catch some more tomorrow," Qi Xie said slowly while eating the crab.

Li Luo, who was enjoying his meal nearby, curled his lip in disdain.

I don't know who it is, sitting under the eaves in a daze during the day. They don't respond when I call them.

I'm quite calm now.

"Okay! You can go tomorrow! We can only bring back the live animals."

"Um."

He gave another soft "hmm".

The next day, Bai Lian and Ji Xiang stayed at home.

The group began wading downstream along the stream.

The mountain stream water was quite cold. Feng Ran and his companions quickly caught quite a few small crabs, and also some small fish.

It seems like they were just arrested yesterday, and the number hasn't decreased much today.

Several people were carrying buckets and swimming downstream.

Suddenly, a man appeared not far away, also carrying a broken bucket and groping in the river.

As I got closer, I realized it was the same boy I had met before.

"It's you guys—" the boy said coldly.

"Hmm. What are you doing here?"

"What's it to you?" the man said, then continued to bend down and catch crabs and small fish.

However, he clearly hid the broken bucket behind his back.

Feng Ran and the others ignored him and continued fishing. They even netted several small schools of fish they encountered.

The man next to him glanced at it a few times, hesitated before continuing to catch fish.

However, while Feng Ran and the others were going downstream, the man went upstream.

"Smack!"

A pebble suddenly hit the water's surface, splashing water everywhere.

"Nothing at all! Those guys must have caught them all!" Jiang Nan knew that there weren't even any fish fry left, just from the fishing nets the men had just left.

There was no other way but to run downstream as fast as possible, hoping to get ahead of them and perhaps retrieve some more.

I just found my way here via the side mountain path.

"call--"

"Why is he here again?" Feng Ran, who was catching crabs, looked at the person coming from the front and said.

"I guess the upstream supply is gone," Feng Nan replied.

Jiangnan ignored them and jumped directly into the water downstream, starting to quickly catch crabs.
