"Yun Lian!"
After a day of classes, Li Yue hurriedly ran home.
After searching several rooms without finding Yun Lian, Li Yue's eyes widened with worry as she clenched her fists.
"Could it be that they've caused trouble for us again?"
Li Yue threw her schoolbag onto the sofa, but when she turned around, she bumped into Yun Lian.
Yun Lian helped the boy who had almost been knocked over by her, her eyes filled with a smile.
"Liyue, how can you be so clumsy at such a big age? If I hadn't reacted quickly, you would have fallen flat on your face."
Li Yue was teased by her and quickly got up from her arms.
"Why didn't you answer my calls? I thought something had happened to you."
Yun Lian took out her phone, looked at the missed calls on the screen, and slapped her forehead.
"I've muted it! Ugh... Why are there so many calls? I don't usually get this many calls even when I don't mute my phone."
She tousled her hair, but it also added a touch of vibrancy to it.
As Li Yue watched, her eyes unconsciously filled with tenderness, and she grasped the little hand that kept misbehaving towards her.
"You're already a bit slow, so don't torture yourself anymore, or I'll have to take care of you when you're old."
Yun Lian let him pull her to the sofa, and still kept bickering with him.
"If you take care of me when I'm old, that's your just deserts. I took care of you when you were young, and now that I'm old, you take care of me. It makes perfect sense. Hehe, I've suddenly realized that getting old isn't so bad."
“That won’t do. I’m a man, how can I wait until you’re old to take care of you? You sit here now and I’ll reply to your messages slowly. I’ll make dinner.”
Yun Lian hugged him and nodded obediently.
"Mission accomplished!"
Li Yue brought her a glass of milk, put on an apron, and took the groceries she had just bought to the kitchen to prepare.
What he has always longed for most is this kind of peaceful and tranquil life.
But why do people always have to bother them?
Li Yue murmured the young lady's name: "Murong Xiao..."
How can I make her give up on me?
Li Yue suddenly remembered the wound on Yun Lian's ankle that she had swept away earlier that day.
She ran towards Yun Lian without even wiping the water off her hands.
"What happened to your foot? I think I saw you injured it today."
Yun Lian hadn't noticed until he pointed it out, and then she suddenly felt a pain in her ankle from the friction of her socks.
"I've already taken care of any accidental trips."
Seeing her carefree demeanor, Li Yue felt a tightness in his chest. He knelt down on one knee and grabbed Yun Lian's ankle to examine her.
"Let me see the wound."
At this moment, the two of them, one sitting and one kneeling, seemed to have a somewhat ambiguous relationship, even though they were siblings.
Yun Lian stopped eating her snacks.
Amitabha.
It's no wonder she's full of nonsense. Anyone would be unmoved if the campus heartthrob grabbed their ankle and stared at them intently.
Especially in summer, clothes are already light and thin. Li Yue is beautiful, with skin even better than girls. She is the type who looks slim in clothes but has a muscular figure when undressed.
Following Yun Lian's gaze, one could see the extent of his pectoral muscles beneath the three buttons undone.
Yun Lian took a big gulp of milk, but still felt very hot.
Li Yue's voice rang out, filled with heartache.
"Is this how you treat it? What's the use of a band-aid? The wound is all stuck together, what if it leaves a scar?"
"Cough, it's nothing. What's the big deal about a scar on your foot? Nobody's going to look at it closely."
Li Yue carefully peeled the band-aid off her foot.
"Wait for me. Next time you get injured, be sure to tell me in advance. Don't be so careless."
"I know, I know, I just didn't tell you because I was afraid you'd nag me."
Why is your face so red? Are you hot? Should we turn the air conditioning down a bit?
"I just came back from being in the sun, so it's normal for my face to be red. Don't bother adjusting it, or I'll catch a cold again."
Li Yue suddenly wondered if she had been too indifferent to Yun Lian. How come he remembered that his face wasn't this red just now?
"Alright."
He probably didn't notice.
Li Yue quickly came over with a first-aid kit. He took out alcohol and carefully disinfected Yun Lian's wound. As soon as the alcohol touched the wound, Yun Lian kicked him in the chest.
Looking up, all I saw was Yun Lian's pitiful expression.
"It hurts... Why did you suddenly apply alcohol without warning? Couldn't you have used iodine? It's killing me with pain."
Seeing the tears in her eyes, Li Yue felt inexplicably guilty, even though he hadn't done anything wrong.
"I can't see the foreign object in the wound clearly with iodine. Can I apply it after you've had some rest?"
Yun Lian blinked, forcing back the tears welling up in her eyes.
"It's better to have a short, sharp pain than a long, drawn-out one. Hurry up and get it over with."
003 clicked his tongue: "Impressive, my host. You didn't utter a sound of pain when you jumped from the 12th floor in the last world, but now alcohol can make you cry."
What in this world is truly real?
"Shh, don't affect your sister's performance."
Yun Lian unilaterally cut off contact with 003.
Li Yue saw that Yun Lian was almost strangling the pillow, and fearing that Yun Lian would change her mind, she quickly continued to operate.
Every time I applied the alcohol, I could feel her ankles trembling.
The tremor traveled from her palms to her heart, and Li Yue felt as if something was subtly changing.
Liyue observed even more meticulously, only breathing a sigh of relief after picking out the last tiny splinter from the wound.
"Don't get it wet tonight. I'll change the gauze tomorrow morning."
"good."
Seeing that her eyes were red, Li Yue paused, then pretended to be calm and walked towards the kitchen.
Damn it.
Why did he suddenly find Yun Lian so cute?
He's always treated her like family, hasn't he?
