Chapter 67. President Gu's kiss.

Chapter 67. President Gu's kiss.

The receptionist glanced at the two of them and asked them to show their ID cards.

Gu Junsheng took out his ID card from his bag, and Chu Ruofu found her ID card. They placed both ID cards on the counter at the same time.

Chu Ruofu glanced at Gu Junsheng's ID card. His ID photo showed handsome eyebrows and eyes, with distinct features, and was no different from him in person.

He was five years older than her; their age difference wasn't significant.

The receptionist asked the two what kind of room they needed. Gu Junsheng glanced at her and told the receptionist to book two double rooms.

"Two double rooms?" the receptionist asked again.

Chu Ruofu looked up at the receptionist, who was looking at the two of them with a mixture of ambiguity and surprise in her eyes.

Most young men and women who come to hotels only book one room, but these two, who look like a couple, actually booked two rooms.

"Please keep your ID card and room key safe," the receptionist said with a smile.

Chu Ruofu retrieved her ID card, while Gu Junsheng held both room cards in his hands. The two walked towards the elevator together.

As Chu Ruofu rode the elevator upstairs, her mind was in a mess. Xue Fangfei and the driver were both hospitalized for observation. She had wanted to stay with them, but Xue Fangfei wouldn't allow it and told Gu Junsheng and her to rest at a hotel near the hospital first.

Thieves broke into her apartment, stalkers followed her car—after all these terrifying things happened, she had nowhere to go before moving.

I have to deal with the aftermath of the car accident tomorrow, and I also need to find a suitable place to move this week. I don't know if the company will agree.

"We've arrived," came Gu Junsheng's clear voice.

Chu Ruofu snapped out of her daze, quickly stepped out of the elevator, and asked, "What room number are we staying in?"

Gu Junsheng asked, "Which room would you like to stay in, 1012 or 1013?"

Chu Ruofu said, "I'm fine with anything."

The hotel corridor was covered with thick, elaborate carpets, making no sound as shoes walked on them. The two walked quietly side by side.

It was Chu Ruofu's first time checking into a hotel with a man, and she was a little nervous. Her eyes were fixed on the carpet. She had been wondering if Gu Junsheng would book a room with her, and she wasn't mentally prepared for things to move too fast.

Gu Junsheng first swiped the key card to room 1012 (double bed), went inside to check it, and found nothing unusual. He placed the room card on the table and said, "Would you like to stay in this room?"

Chu Ruofu: "Okay."

Gu Junsheng walked up to her and reached out to touch her hair: "Take a shower and get some rest first. I'll take care of anything for you tomorrow."

Chu Ruofu's eyes flickered as she looked up at him and said, "Thank you."

Gu Junsheng looked into her grateful eyes, her brimming with tears, and saw only his own reflection in them. His Adam's apple bobbed, and his gaze was restrained and controlled.

"We don't need to be so polite between us. You can come to me if you need anything. I hope I can be someone you can rely on."

Chu Ruofu felt a slight sting in her nose. From discovering the thief breaking into the apartment, to Xue Fangfei almost being hurt, to being followed by stalkers, her whole body had been tense, and she hadn't completely relaxed yet.

Hearing Gu Junsheng's words, her soft heart was instantly touched, and she was relieved of her fears.

Gu Junsheng noticed that her eyes were red and misty. He broke through his restraint, reached out and pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly and giving her a bit of warmth.

Chu Ruofu was suddenly pulled into his arms, and she was stunned for a moment. Her cheek touched his luxurious suit. The silky fabric was slightly cool, and he exuded a cool, woody fragrance. The faint scent of cedar was very pleasant.

Gu Junsheng had initially thought that seeing her tense and tired expression, she should wash up and get some rest.

Lying in bed to rest after washing up is very good for healing both the body and emotions; she doesn't seem sleepy yet.

"Would you like something to eat?" Gu Junsheng asked in a low voice.

Chu Ruofu was really hungry at this time. The sudden car accident had kept her and the injured Xue Fangfei busy, which had exhausted their energy. She was not only tired but also hungry.

"Mmm," she murmured softly.

"Have a seat first." Gu Junsheng pulled her to sit down by the window.

At this time, many neon lights outside had been turned off, and only the river view on the Bund was lit up with starlight.

Gu Junsheng was standing in front of the hotel room's internal telephone, calling room service and ordering food.

Chu Ruofu thought about how he rushed to the hospital tonight to help her quickly deal with things, and her heart fluttered as she looked at his handsome profile.

After ordering, Gu Junsheng sat down on the sofa opposite her: "The intelligent robot will deliver the food within an hour."

Chu Ruofu parted her lips slightly, as if to say thank you, but Gu Junsheng seemed to have read her mind and asked, "Can you tell me what exactly happened today?"

When Gu Junsheng arrived at the hospital, he only knew that she had been followed by stalkers and had accidentally been involved in a car accident, but he did not know the details of the incident.

He needs more information so he can help her with the rest of the matter tomorrow.

Chu Ruofu said, "It's a long story..."

"It's alright, take your time," Gu Junsheng said calmly and gently.

Chu Ruofu briefly described how she returned to her apartment yesterday and found a thief had broken in. Today, while packing her luggage to move, she suddenly bumped into someone who appeared to be the thief. In her haste to catch the thief, Xue Fangfei was pushed and fell, sustaining injuries. On her way to the hospital, she was followed by a stalker.

The driver was in a hurry to shake off the stalker fans, but ended up crashing into a flower bed and causing an accident. The stalker fans escaped, but they were surrounded by passersby who posted videos of them.

Chu Ruofu didn't check the trending topics online; she simply didn't have the time or energy. After the car accident, she called the police, took photos, contacted the insurance company, and was so busy with all sorts of things that she was completely overwhelmed.

Gu Junsheng frowned. He didn't know much about the entertainment industry and asked, "Stalker fans?"

A look of disgust flashed in Chu Ruofu's eyes as she said, "Stalker fans are crazy. They invade celebrities' lives and work. Extreme fans will spy on, stalk, and take photos without their consent..."

Gu Junsheng's voice was slightly stern: "This kind of person can be called a fan?"

Chu Ruofu said, "Because obsessive fans are also fans of celebrities, it's just that their methods are too extreme."

Gu Junsheng's voice was cold and stern: "We cannot use obsessive fans to cover up their crimes. They are criminals, and once we have evidence, we must detain them according to the law."

It seems that very few people in the entertainment industry would do this nowadays.

It seems to be a common occurrence for obsessive fans to follow celebrities in their cars. There have been instances where celebrities have had their homes broken into by obsessive fans who have slept, eaten, and drunk at their homes, and even stolen their personal belongings.

Artists can only appeal to fans on public platforms to refrain from such illegal activities and to protect their privacy.

Chu Ruofu suspects that the suspicious person who ran away yesterday was probably her sasaeng fan, so she must move immediately and can no longer live in her current apartment.

"I'm going to look for a new place to move tomorrow."

Gu Junsheng said, "I'll go with you to find it."

Chu Ruofu looked apologetic: "You're in Haicheng on a business trip, am I going to delay your schedule?"

"I will arrange the itinerary properly," Gu Junsheng said. "Your matter is important, so I will help you take care of it first."

Chu Ruofu looked at Gu Junsheng, who was dressed in a suit and tie, with a high nose bridge and a pair of gold-rimmed glasses. He sat on a single sofa with a noble and elegant posture.

His composed demeanor is handsome and charming.

She gazed at his handsome face, and he looked back at her; their eyes met.

His gaze gradually darkened as he looked at her intently. They stared at each other for a few seconds, neither of them looking away.

The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. In the still, ambiguous atmosphere, Chu Ruofu clenched her hands, her heart pounding faster and faster.

Chu Ruofu thought he looked good in glasses; his cool and aloof demeanor exuded a mature, married air, and his refined and gentle appearance made him very likable.

He just sat there, letting her observe him.

This relaxed and nonchalant demeanor is unexpectedly captivating.

Chu Ruofu licked her dry lips and suddenly felt thirsty, wanting to drink some water.

She lowered her eyelashes and inadvertently noticed that he was wearing custom-made leather shoes on a carpet, his legs were long and slender, and his wide-legged trousers revealed a section of black socks.

"Thirsty?" came his slightly magnetic, husky voice.

"I'm a little thirsty." Chu Ruofu thought of getting up to get some water.

Gu Junsheng got up before her, walked over to take the water bottle from the TV cabinet, twisted the lid with his slender fingers, and handed it to her.

Chu Ruofu tried to reach out and take the water bottle, but Gu Junsheng didn't let go. He looked down at her, put the bottle to his lips, and controlled the flow of water to feed her.

Her eyes widened slightly in surprise, her lips parted slightly, and cool water flowed in, quenching her thirst.

His meticulous care intensified her thirst, causing her cheeks to flush with heat.

Chu Ruofu took two sips, then pushed the water bottle away and said, "That's enough."

Gu Junsheng screwed the bottle cap on, placed the bottle on the table, sat back on the sofa, and his gaze lingered on her face, his eyes sweeping over her moist lips.

He wanted to kiss her.

Chu Ruofu felt his burning gaze, her heart pounding faster, and she stole a glance at him.

Gu Junsheng felt as if he had been brushed by a feather, and couldn't help but grab her hand that was resting on the table. In the moment she was stunned, he pulled her between his legs.

Chu Ruofu stood on his lap, one hand on his shoulder, looking down at his handsome face.

Gu Junsheng took off his gold-rimmed glasses, causing her to fall into his arms. He stroked her delicate, fair cheek; his palms were warm, and her face was so small that he gently caressed it.

"I'm sorry, you're very upset right now, I shouldn't have done this, but..."

Gu Junsheng lowered his head and kissed her forehead, then moved down to gently kiss the bridge of her nose. The kiss was light and tender, like a dragonfly skimming the water, with a subtle and almost imperceptible touch. His unique cool, woody aura enveloped her.

"I want to kiss you." His cool eyes burned with passion as he looked at her with a deep, unfathomable gaze.

Chu Ruofu's cheeks flushed, her lips parted slightly, and she met his kiss.

Gu Junsheng gently stroked her face with one hand, held her slender waist with the other, and kissed the corner of her mouth with his warm lips.

She blinked, her thick, curled eyelashes trembling slightly, and her moist lips pressed against his handsome, thin lips.

Gu Junsheng paused slightly. Her initiative was like a huge surprise. He held her waist tightly with his large hand, gently but forcefully guiding her to welcome him, hooking her tongue with his, and together they succumbed to their desires.

Chu Ruofu felt a burning sensation in her chest, and she lost all strength, collapsing into his arms.
