Thousand Saints Palace.

The disciples were hurrying to class when they nearly bumped into someone who suddenly appeared as they turned the corner of the corridor. Startled, they quickly stepped back, bowed, and apologized: "Elder Yun, I'm sorry, are you alright?"

The man they called Elder Yun dusted off the dust from his clothes, shook his head to indicate he was fine, and casually asked, "It's Elder Du's class today, why are you all so late?"

Elder Du was meticulous and very strict, and he hated his disciples being late or breaking the rules.

One of the disciples spoke up: "We were supposed to be on time, but the road was blocked when we left Guanghua Hall, so we had to take another route."

The fastest way to reach the Hall of Knowledge is through the small side door of the Radiant Hall. In the past, even if someone was undergoing a tribulation of lightning, the door would not be closed. But today, for some reason, the door was suddenly closed without prior notice, which almost made them late.

Elder Yun lowered his eyes, suppressing the glint in them, and said, "I guess the repairman forgot to mention it. You should hurry up and go, don't be late. Elder Du is not someone to be trifled with."

The disciples thanked them repeatedly and hurried towards the Hall of Knowledge.

After Elder Yun had walked a distance away, he paused and walked in another direction.

Perhaps we should tell his ally about the sealing of the Guanghua Hall; that person knows a lot and might be able to guess something.

On the other side.

Wen Zheng and Ming Xin had finished their casual conversation when Ming Xin was called away by his master, leaving Wen Zheng standing there thinking for a long time.

As darkness fell, the spirit ship docked near a town, and the group disembarked to find lodging.

When Wen Zheng stepped off the spirit ship, she immediately saw Mu Qing standing to the side waiting for her. She walked over briskly and asked, "Weren't you with the other elders?"

She noticed that the elders seemed to get along well with him, chatting with him as they did so, and assumed they would leave together.

"I told them I had something to do, and they let me go," Mu Qing said calmly. "I've already found a place to stay in the city for tonight. Let's go."

Wen Zheng followed behind him and asked, "Why don't you live together?"

With so many people scattered throughout the city, it would be incredibly frustrating to find someone in an emergency.

Mu Qing slowed her pace and walked beside Wen Zheng, saying, "The Immortal Sect Competition is about to begin, and all the sects will send people here. This city is the only way to the Thousand Saints Palace, so it will be difficult to stay in the same inn."

The decision to disperse the people on the spirit ship was made after careful consideration by several elders. Those with higher cultivation levels would bring along a few disciples with lower cultivation levels to stay there. There were also people from other sects present, so they would have help if anything happened.

This was a feasible solution that Mu Qing and several elders came up with after discussing it.

After explaining the reason, Mu Qing glanced at Wen Zheng, who was deep in thought, and asked, "Do you have any other questions?"

Wen Zheng frowned slightly. Theoretically, there was nothing wrong with this plan, but why was she paired with Mu Qing?

"Why are we assigned to a room together? Doesn't that take up two rooms?"

He wasn't saying there weren't enough rooms and it was inconvenient for everyone to stay together.

Mu Qing chuckled and said, "I'm happy to."

He used a little of his power to put the two of them in the same hotel, and the other elders didn't say anything.

Hearing Mu Qing say something like that for the first time, Wen Zheng turned her head and glanced at him several times before whispering, "You know, what you just said sounded just like something a villain would say."

What is a villain?

After a moment of silence, Wen Zheng uttered two words: "Bad person."

Mu Qing: "..."

The two arrived at the inn where they would stay for the night in silence. The inn's decor was somewhat old, and there were a few people eating downstairs; it was equally quiet.

"Go back to your room and rest for a bit. I'll call you when the food is ready," Mu Qing said to Wen Zheng.

Wen Zheng nodded and went upstairs to the second floor. Mu Qing ordered the food and found a good spot to rest.

The people eating nearby looked up at him several times, and getting impatient with their stares, Mu Qing said coldly, "Fellow Daoist, is there something you need from me?"

The person he was speaking to looked up in surprise and said, "Are you Immortal Venerable Mu Qing?"

The face looks very similar, but the person doesn't seem as cold as the one I met before; they even let me go back to my room to rest first.

Mu Qing looked at him coldly, without saying a word. Her icy aura made people want to stay away.

He coughed lightly to cover his embarrassment, having already confirmed Mu Qing's identity, and quickly said, "Immortal Venerable Mu, please forgive me. I am Li Siming, the eldest disciple of Elder Chu Ye of the Qingchen Sect. Greetings, Immortal Venerable."

"Chu Ye? Where is she?" Mu Qing frowned as she looked at the young disciples.

These individuals are all quite talented and skilled. The mastermind behind the Longevity Sect hasn't been caught yet, so it's hard to say they might set their sights on them.

"My master is currently in seclusion, so he asked me to take my junior brothers and sisters to the Thousand Saints Palace to participate in the Immortal Sect Competition." After Li Mingxin finished speaking, he looked up at Mu Qing and asked, "Immortal Venerable Mu, are you also going to the Thousand Saints Palace to participate in the Immortal Sect Competition?"

If Immortal Venerable Mu is also going to Thousand Saints Palace, perhaps they can travel together. With Immortal Venerable Mu by his side, Li Siming wouldn't have to worry about his junior brothers and sisters and lose sleep along the way.

"We're going to the Thousand Saints Palace." Mu Qing saw through Li Siming's intention and continued, "But there are other people as well, including Elder Xiang from your Qingchen Sect."

Chu Ye and Elder Xiang have a decent relationship. Elder Xiang won't object to Chu Ye bringing her disciple along, and it would also do her a favor, so he should be very happy to do so.

"Elder Xiang? Isn't he in the sect?" Li Siming asked in surprise.

The number of people going to Thousand Saints Palace had already been determined, and Elder Xiang was not among them, so it was impossible for him to go to Thousand Saints Palace with Immortal Venerable Mu.

Mu Qing, remembering the matter of the Longevity Sect, changed the subject: "You can ask Elder Xiang about this. Think about it tonight. If you want to travel together, I will take you with me tomorrow."

Li Siming wanted to ask Elder Xiang more questions, but seeing that Mu Qing didn't want to talk anymore, he shut up and ate with his junior brothers and sisters.

In the room, Wen Zheng had just lain down on the bed when Qingling Daoist from the bracelet suddenly appeared and stood beside her bed, startling her.

"Can you at least give me a heads-up next time you come out?" Wen Zheng said through gritted teeth.

The fatigue and drowsiness that had just appeared in her body vanished in fright, and she was now incredibly energetic.

"You're so brave, you think you can be scared to death? Besides, I set up a barrier, so no one outside can hear what's going on inside." Qingling Daoist retorted without any politeness, earning a glare from Wen Zheng: "You suddenly came out to find me for something?"

Mu Qing was still downstairs, and Qingling Daoist was not afraid of being discovered when he suddenly came out.

"It's nothing serious. I just wanted to ask how much of your memory you've recovered," said Qingling Daoist, his eyes fixed on Wen Zheng, watching her reaction.

"I haven't recovered. I have absolutely no memory of the Thousand Saints Palace in my mind," Wen Zheng said, spreading her hands in frustration.

She truly had no memory of the Thousand Saints Palace; the few bits and pieces she knew were all from dreams. She tried to enter the dream bracelet again, but it was useless; she didn't dream at all.

Her clear eyes confirmed to Qingling Daoist that Wen Zheng really had no recollection at all. He sighed helplessly, rubbing his forehead, "We're about to arrive at Qian Sheng Palace. If you have no memory at all, won't you be at the mercy of others?"

Those few people in the Thousand Saints Palace are incredibly troublesome. Wen Zheng, as the eldest disciple of the Thousand Saints Palace Master who should have died, suddenly appeared alive. What do those people think?

Moreover, the problem with the Palace Master of Qian Sheng Palace is so serious. Wen Zheng was silenced after investigating some things out of suspicion. If she comes back, wouldn't she be like a lamb entering a tiger's den?

Wen Zheng understood the worry in Qingling Daoist's tone and was also worried about what to do next.

Although she dreamed that she left something in a dry well in the Thousand Saints Palace, how was she supposed to retrieve it?

The grand hall in her dream was clearly a key location of the Thousand Saints Palace, and it housed people who terrified her. Going to secretly retrieve the hidden items would be suicide.

She had to come up with a plausible reason to retrieve what she had left in the dry well.

"Let's take it one step at a time. There's no use making a decision now; there are too many variables," Wen Zheng sighed.

Qingling Daoist followed her sigh with his own. Unless something unexpected happened, he really couldn't figure out how Wen Zheng would break the deadlock.

After sighing and thinking for a while, he felt the spiritual power of his soul dissipating. He suddenly said, "It seems that the Immortal Pursuit Sect has planted an inside agent in the Thousand Saints Palace. However, I didn't listen carefully when the sect leader told me. You can try to find out from the sect leader, but don't ask directly."

Only the sect leader and he knew about the inside man; if Wen Zheng were to suddenly ask him, she would likely be suspected.

When Wen Zheng heard the term "internal agent," she looked at Qingling Daoist in surprise. Just as she was about to ask about the situation of the internal agent, Qingling Daoist had already returned to the bracelet, and she received no response after speaking several times.

Wen Zheng lay dejectedly on the bed, pondering what to do next.

There's an inside agent in the Thousand Saints Palace, but she doesn't know who it is or how to contact them; this lead can be set aside for now. She's hidden something in the Thousand Saints Palace, which she can't retrieve for the time being; this lead should also be set aside for now.

Aside from these two crucial clues, she seemed to have nothing else of value.

Is it really true, as Qingling Daoist said, that finding a way to restore her memories is the most effective method? But how can she restore her memories?

As Wen Zheng pondered, she remembered Mingxin. Her master was from the Medicine Immortal Valley, and perhaps he could use a pill to help her recall some information.

With a clue, Wen Zheng felt much more relaxed. As she lay in bed preparing to take a nap, the door was pushed open, startling her so much that she jumped up from the bed and looked at the person who had barged in.

Mu Qing paused as she pushed the door open, then slowly lowered it: "I'm sorry, there was no response when I knocked, I thought something had happened to you."

He knocked for a very long time, but there was no response from inside. His spiritual sense couldn't penetrate the confines, so he had to force his way in to check the situation.

Wen Zheng remembered what Qingling Daoist had said about people outside not being able to hear those inside, and guiltily looked away, saying, "It's nothing, I was just fast asleep."

She had to keep Qingling Daoist's matter a secret, so that was all she could say. She didn't know if Mu Qing believed her.

Mu Qing's cold gaze swept across the room. The simple room contained nothing else; the windows were tightly closed and had never been opened, so nothing could enter. Why couldn't his divine sense get in?

After looking around the room for a long time, he turned to Wen Zheng and said, "Let's go, the food is ready, it will get cold if we don't go soon."

Wen Zheng was stared at by him for a long time and almost couldn't keep her expression in check. She quickly agreed, "Okay, okay, I'm hungry too, let's go!"

She pulled up Mu Qing's sleeve, interrupting his suspicious gaze, and dragged him out of the house.

Mu Qing was dragged downstairs by Wen Zheng, and she kept looking back at Wen Zheng's room.

I have a feeling that someone has set up a restriction in the room, and it feels very familiar.

Perhaps it was just his imagination.
