Don't go to Qian Sheng Palace

Don't go to Qian Sheng Palace

Wen Zheng did not respond. Her pen moved swiftly, and countless talismans flew out from her pen, drifting to Elder Qingniao's side.

"I'm not very good at fighting, but I have plenty of talismans."

The words drifted over, and Elder Qingniao's hand holding his weapon trembled. What did he mean by "enough talismans"? Had the human race become so extravagant?

Before he could think it through, the iron rod opposite him was already swinging over. He quickly dodged and grabbed the talisman next to him, throwing it away.

The talisman exploded with considerable power, and Li Ruyue didn't have time to dodge. A hole was blown in her robe. She turned to look at Wen Zheng and said, "Your talisman has become stronger."

She had witnessed the effects of Wen Zheng's talismans before, and they were clearly not this powerful.

Wen Zheng snorted and laughed, "It's been so long since we last met, I should at least show some progress before I feel comfortable seeing you again, shouldn't I?"

The thought of someone wanting to kill her, and the organization behind that person, kept Wen Zheng awake at night with anxiety. So she got up to improve the talismans and enhance her strength.

“Indeed,” Li Ruyue nodded in agreement, “but unfortunately it was all in vain.”

She struck down with the iron rod, and Elder Qingniao, not expecting her to be so strong, was sent flying and landed at Wen Zheng's feet.

"You lost so quickly?!" Wen Zheng's voice rose at the end, as if she couldn't quite believe what was happening before her eyes.

Elder Qingniao sat up, spitting out blood, and hurriedly said, "I...I didn't lose, I just didn't mean to."

That's what he said, but when he stood up, he clearly staggered. Wen Zheng, who was watching from the side, was afraid that he would fall, so she reached out to support him.

"I'm fine." Elder Qingniao pushed away Wen Zheng's hand and stood up to block Wen Zheng.

Seeing that he wasn't in good condition, Wen Zheng could only feed him some healing pills and leave him aside, saying, "Hurry up and heal yourself. Come help me when you're better."

She held a talisman in one hand and a pen in the other, her gaze fixed firmly on Li Ruyue. Her aura underwent a dramatic transformation the moment she stepped forward.

She is no longer the one who hides behind others and is protected, as she used to be.

"Do you think you can stop me?" Li Ruyue looked down on Wen Zheng now, with her laughable strength and useless talisman cultivation. She was a completely different person compared to the Wen Zheng of the past.

"Even if you're injured, you're no match for me right now. I'll act quickly." After Li Ruyue finished speaking, the iron rod in her hand struck again.

Wen Zheng quickly pulled out a talisman and stuck it on her body. With a slight movement of her feet, she dodged the attack and threw the other talismans in her hand over.

She was indeed no match for Li Ruyue, but she wasn't alone. She had already sent messages to others when she encountered danger. Elder Qingniao could come to help her after healing his injuries, and there were also Mu Qing, Xiao Ze, and the City Lord of Zhuque in the city. So many people could come to help her.

Her goal in fighting Li Ruyue now is to stall her until someone else arrives, at which point she will win.

Wen Zheng threw out talismans to interfere with Li Ruyue again, and while the other party was dodging the talismans and looking down, she applied a speed talisman and a wind talisman to herself.

With her top-grade wind spirit root and the effects of these talismans, she moved very fast, arriving behind Li Ruyue in the blink of an eye.

A flash of cold light appeared as the short sword grazed Li Ruyue's arm before being blocked by the iron bar. Li Ruyue glanced at her injured arm and sneered, "Time is of the essence. I won't play this cat-and-mouse game with you anymore."

As soon as she finished speaking, a long iron rod came flying straight at Wen Zheng's face. Startled, she quickly retreated to avoid it.

As the moonlight gradually faded on the horizon, a sliver of light appeared on the ground, signaling the end of the night.

Time was running out, and Li Ruyue's attacks became ruthless, each move aimed at killing, giving Wen Zheng no chance. Several times she almost hit Wen Zheng, but Wen Zheng managed to dodge.

Wen Zheng felt the distance between the two getting closer and closer. She had to stick three or four speed talismans on her body to dodge the iron rod that the other party was swinging. At this rate, she would soon be unable to hold on.

When the iron rod struck again, it shattered the protective talisman on her body. The person in front of her smiled broadly when he saw Wen Zheng's pale face.

"You don't seem to be doing so well anymore."

A sense of crisis welled up within her, and Wen Zheng distanced herself from the other two, calling out to Elder Qingniao, who was meditating beside her, "How much longer until you're better?!"

The shout startled Elder Qingniao from his meditation. He opened his eyes and saw Wen Zheng being forced to jump around, almost failing to dodge several times.

"I'm here." Elder Qingniao took out his weapon to block Li Ruyue's iron rod, and Wen Zheng turned around and threw out a talisman.

The small fire talisman landed right on Li Ruyue's left cheek, and the explosion sent both of them flying.

"ah--!!!"

The heart-wrenching scream startled the birds in the woods. Elder Bluebird took a few steps back in fright, and looking at the woman kneeling on the ground screaming, he turned his head and praised, "That was a perfect throw."

The two of them alone definitely couldn't win. The talisman Wen Zheng threw hit one of the opponent's eyes, making her stop.

Elder Qingniao walked up to Li Ruyue, held his weapon to her neck, and asked, "What do you want with Xiaoyu?"

Li Ruyue covered her injured eye, the blood from her eye socket flowing down her cheek onto her clothes, looking terrifying and horrifying.

She gritted her teeth and endured the pain, looking up at Wen Zheng not far away, and said, "I will not let you go. I will make you die in the demon race. You will never be able to go back."

Hahahaha!!!

The maniacal laughter startled Elder Qingniao, who jumped up and dodged, gripping his weapon tightly, fearing the other party might cause some trouble.

Wen Zheng quickly walked to his side, holding another stack of talismans in her hand, which she had just drawn.

"I'd better finish her off as soon as possible." Elder Qingniao held his weapon, intending to kill Li Ruyue, but a commotion behind him caught everyone's attention.

Li Ruyue stopped the forbidden technique she was secretly performing halfway through. She used her remaining eye to look in the direction from which the strange movement came. There was a gaunt old man whose robes were beautiful but tattered, and he looked like no ordinary person.

Wen Zheng was still watching Li Ruyue, ready to make a move, when Elder Qingniao stopped her, "Kill that one first."

He pointed at the old man who had suddenly appeared. Wen Zheng looked in the direction he was pointing and looked surprised. Why was the Grand Elder here?

The Grand Elder, who appeared after being teleported, glanced around. When he saw Qingniao, his face twitched. He had always known that Qingniao was one of Zhuque's people, and he had just escaped from Zhuque's clutches, only to fall into Qingniao's hands again.

Heaven is going to destroy me.

The Grand Elder suppressed his thoughts and pretended nothing had happened. He beckoned to Elder Qingniao and said, "Qingniao, come here and help me up."

Qingniao moved the hand holding the weapon, and approached with a smile, "Elder, I'm here."

As he spoke, he swung his weapon.

Wen Zheng sighed at the internal strife within the demon race, then turned to look at Li Ruyue on the ground. Elder Qingniao and the Grand Elder were fighting fiercely; perhaps she could take this opportunity to ask them some questions.

She drew a short sword and held it to the man's neck, asking in a low voice, "What is your reason for capturing Xiaoyu?"

Li Ruyue snorted coldly and did not answer.

Wen Zheng wasn't going to let the other party get away with it. Her short sword drew an inch closer, and the blood flowing from her neck instantly stained her clothes. "I advise you to answer, otherwise..."

She brandished her short sword, her gesture full of threat.

Li Ruyue looked up at her directly and said, "So what if you know? Do you think you can change anything?"

Wen Zheng frowned deeply: "What do you mean?"

Li Ruyue laughed loudly: "Wen Zheng, you know that you and Bai Lu are no different, but I advise you not to regain your memories, or you will go crazy."

After she finished speaking, her spiritual power surged again, and she used her five fingers to grab Wen Zheng's face.

As the sharp claws reached out, Wen Zheng's pupils dilated in fright, her body stiffened, and she froze on the spot, her mind blank, with only one thought remaining.

We're doomed!

A hand grabbed her from behind and pulled her away quickly. Li Ruyue's claws missed their mark, and she glared at the person who had suddenly appeared, unwilling to accept it.

Mu Qing held Wen Zheng's arm tightly. The violent heaving of her chest and her rapid breathing startled Wen Zheng, who asked, "You came so quickly?"

She sent the message, and Mu Qing arrived very quickly.

"If you don't come now, you'll die." Mu Qing said irritably. Heaven knows that when he saw the woman's claws almost grab Wen Zheng, his heart stopped in fright. He used all his spiritual power to the limit to pull Wen Zheng away from the attack.

"Don't worry, I'm fine." Wen Zheng pointed to the protective talisman on her side. Li Ruyue's sudden action had indeed startled her, but she wasn't unprepared.

Knowing that she had taken precautions in advance, Mu Qing felt a little less upset and snorted coldly, "Your life is your own, it has nothing to do with me."

That's what they said, but the person blocking the other didn't move an inch, and even stuffed a protective magic weapon into Wen Zheng's hand.

"Go heal your wounds over there and don't bother me," Mu Qing said coldly, her sword clashing with the iron rod Li Ruyue was throwing, producing a piercing sound.

Wen Zheng held a magic weapon in her hand and hid to the side to meditate, looking puzzled. Something seemed wrong. Was Mu Qing like this before?

With this question in mind, Wen Zheng took the Spirit Gathering Pill to regulate her breathing.

On the other side, the Grand Elder threw down the now useless magic weapon and said to the sweating Elder Qingniao, "You can't shake me, why bother trying so hard?"

The Grand Elder has lived for so long and still possesses considerable strength. With the accumulation of his abilities over the years, he has countless magical artifacts for self-defense and life-saving. Elder Qingniao simply cannot do anything to him.

"Old man, I'm going to kill you today!" Elder Qingniao said unwillingly, his weapon repeatedly missing its mark, his face turning green with rage.

The Grand Elder dodged the sword thrust at him, then noticed Zhuque approaching with his men in the distance. His expression darkened, and he said, "Since you're courting death, don't blame me for being ruthless."

He took out the peacock feather fan that Lieyan had offered him earlier. He had taken it with him when he fled because it was incredibly powerful, and he couldn't bear to leave it to Zhuque.

When Qingniao saw the peacock feather fan appear in the Grand Elder's hand, he was so frightened that his face changed drastically and he hurriedly retreated. He remembered that Zhuque had said that he had left many powerful self-destruction arrays on it.

Is it too late for him to run away now?

Seeing his pale face, the elder assumed that the other party was afraid of the power of the feather fan and said smugly, "I will make you die a quick and painless death."

He raised his hand to swing his fan, when an iron rod pierced his chest. He looked down in disbelief, then turned to look at the person who had struck him.

Li Ruyue noticed the feather fan when it appeared, which was one of her goals in coming to the demon clan. She dodged Mu Qing's sword, defeated the Grand Elder in one move, and successfully took the feather fan from him.

When Wen Zheng finished her meditation and opened her eyes, she saw Li Ruyue holding a feather fan. Her expression changed immediately, and she got up and walked to Mu Qing's side, asking, "What's going on?"

Wasn't the feather fan supposed to be at the banquet? How did it end up here?

Of the people present, only Li Ruyue was unaware of the magic array hidden inside the feather fan. She held the feather fan and smiled at the others.

"Do you think I might kill you all with a feather fan?"

The malice emanating from her made Wen Zheng rub her arms. Considering that the two might be old acquaintances, Wen Zheng kindly reminded her, "I advise you not to touch the feather fan."

The magic array inside is no joke.

"Hmph, trying to fool me." Li Ruyue held the feather fan, and all her previous frustrations seemed to vanish at this moment. She was determined to kill these people to vent her hatred.

Li Ruyue gently waved her feather fan and uttered a few words softly.

"You, go to hell."

When the feather fan was swung down, tremendous power exploded from within it, like an unstoppable flood or tsunami, disappearing into it without even a moment to struggle.

The explosion was so powerful that Wen Zheng could barely stand and had to grab Mu Qing with both hands to steady herself.

Elder Qingniao, who was standing nearby, was thrown over by the heat wave. He rolled several times before falling to the ground, motionless.

Once the power of the explosion dissipated, Wen Zheng opened her eyes halfway and saw Li Ruyue lying on the ground, her clothes stained with blood, her condition unknown.

"I'll go take a look." Wen Zheng released her grip on Mu Qing's clothes and carefully approached.

Li Ruyue's chest rose and fell slightly, her breathing was weak, and she looked like she was about to die.

When Wen Zheng saw that the person was not alright, her first reaction was to take out a healing pill and feed it to the person's mouth. However, she stopped after seeing the person's face clearly.

"I... I don't need you to save me," Li Ruyue said in an extremely soft voice. "If it were you, you would have died long ago."

Upon hearing this, Wen Zheng withdrew the pill and said in a deep voice, "I will not save you. You are not worth my saving."

Li Ruyue smiled, closed her eyes, and left a message for Wen Zheng before she closed them.

"Don't go to Qian Sheng Palace."
