Feng Gui was seriously injured (revised)

Feng Gui was seriously injured (revised)

Inside the Guanghua Hall.

Normally, Shan Fengyu would never let anyone near the back room, but now he was trapped there by several people, and he didn't even have anyone to call for help.

When Feng Gui's knife came slashing down, his expression changed, and he dodged the knife by turning to the side. The spiritual energy in his hand condensed into a short sword and flew out.

The short sword, shrouded in black mist, flew towards the group. The oppressive aura it contained caused everyone to take a step back and quickly dodge.

Elder Ye and Mu Qing concealed their faces and disguised their weapons on their way here, so blocking the black short sword was not difficult for them.

Seeing that the group easily dodged the short swords, Dan Fengyu remained calm, and more black short swords condensed at his fingertips, flying towards the group.

The black short swords raining down like rain left everyone struggling to keep up. Feng Gui, however, was exceptionally skilled; with just a few slashes, she cut down many of the short swords and even managed to block some for others.

Dan Fengyu sat leisurely on the throne, his short sword flying out continuously, and even mocked Feng Gui: "With your strength, you can't kill me."

He still harbored resentment over the last sneak attack, but spared her life only because Feng Gui was still useful. He never expected her to be so reckless as to come back again.

"Speaking of which, you are quite impressive. With average talent, you have managed to cultivate to this level. It seems you have used a forbidden technique from the library."

As he spoke, he didn't forget to provoke Feng Guilai: "The essence of your friend with the wind spirit root is much more delicious than yours."

As soon as Shan Fengyu finished speaking, Feng Gui's sword energy erupted instantly. She slashed down the short sword flying through the air and aimed directly at Shan Fengyu's vital point.

"You deserve to die!!"

The madness in Feng Gui's eyes transformed into endless rage, and her previously restrained swordsmanship became even more ferocious, leaving no way out for her.

After dodging several of her slashes, Shan Fengyu was still hit by one of her blows because he couldn't dodge in time.

Red blood splattered in the air, then turned into a cloud of black mist and dissipated into the sky.

The ornate decorations around them were completely shattered by the blade's energy, and the scattered fragments littered the ground, knocking over many things.

The golden birdcage with the black bird hanging on it also fell to the ground. After rolling around a few times, the cage door was wide open, as if encouraging the black bird to fly out of the cage.

Seeing that everyone's eyes were on Shan Fengyu, the black bird carefully stepped out of the cage, took small steps to the window, and quickly flew out while everyone was helping to deal with Shan Fengyu.

The black bird flew out at an extremely fast speed, disappearing into the night in the blink of an eye.

The sound of the bird flapping its wings still caught the attention of Mu Qing and Elder Ye, who were closest to the black bird. The two exchanged a glance as they watched the black bird fly away.

"That bird..." Mu Qing murmured as he blocked the flying short sword.

Elder Ye sheathed his weapon, climbed out the window, and said, "I'll go after them." With that, he disappeared along with the black bird.

Mu Qing's expression darkened. He drew his sword and stepped forward to block Shan Fengyu's escape route.

Seeing that his attempt to escape had been discovered, Shan Fengyu cursed under his breath and looked at Feng Gui: "You can't beat me."

Feng Gui gripped the knife tightly, showing no sign of loosening her grip, her eyes resolute: "As long as I kill you enough times, you will eventually die."

Although there are few records of demons in books, they do exist. With a little more time, you might find them.

Dan Fengyu stared straight at Feng Gui, saw the determination in her eyes, and clicked his tongue.

His body was almost completely exhausted for various reasons, which is why he only used spiritual power to attack a few people instead of using his natal weapon.

The container called "Single Wind and Rain" is about to break; fighting them now would be tantamount to suicide.

Thinking of this, Shan Fengyu's eyes flickered, his brown eyes turned deep, and the black mist emanating from his body made people afraid to approach.

"You forced me to do this." Shan Fengyu said in a low voice, and the terrifying pressure belonging to the Mahayana stage fell on everyone's heads.

Feng Gui and Shan Fengyu were only one major realm apart, so they could barely withstand the pressure. Under such terrifying pressure, the others had no choice but to retreat outside the Guanghua Hall to avoid the onslaught.

Mu Qing appears to be at the Nascent Soul stage, but is actually at the Body Integration stage, so he has no problem withstanding the pressure.

The two were still standing in the back room, looking at Shan Fengyu, who was almost swallowed by the black mist, with a solemn expression on their faces.

Dan Fengyu made no attempt to conceal his demonic identity, seemingly unwilling to let anyone return alive. Today's battle was bound to be incredibly difficult; it was just unknown how Wen Zheng was doing now.

An ancient battlefield and mass grave.

Wen Zheng was almost out of the handful of pebbles she had grabbed earlier, and more and more dark figures were gathering around, all of them having come looking for her after hearing the sound of the pebbles.

The pebble in his hand fell to the ground, and the dark figure that was about to pounce turned back to grab the pebble.

Wen Zheng pulled up the brim of her cloak, squatted down, grabbed another handful of pebbles, and quickly headed towards the location marked on the map.

The dark figure behind her followed at a leisurely pace, occasionally throwing out pebbles to tug at her until she finally reached the dry well.

At this moment, the number of shadowy figures behind her was too numerous to count. Wen Zheng glanced at the dry well and scattered the pebbles in her hand like a fairy scattering flowers, leaving the shadowy figures completely bewildered.

She quickly rolled down into the well, plunging headfirst into the bottomless, dry well.

As she fell, she took out her short sword and stuck it into the well wall to steady herself. She braced herself with both feet to prevent herself from sliding further down.

The well was dry, with dried sand and huge gaps around the walls, making it easy for a person to get stuck and avoid falling.

Wen Zheng looked up and saw nothing suspicious in the well wall above. She drew her short sword and slowly moved downwards.

When she was slightly out of breath, she finally saw the golden box hidden in the crack. She took it out and opened it. Inside was a wooden bracelet and a pill, with a note underneath the pill.

Wen Zheng took out the note. It contained little information, only saying that the pill was meant to restore memories, and that it should not be taken unless absolutely necessary.

The pills in the box looked ordinary, but the fragrance they emitted made Wen Zheng swallow hard. After a moment of stunned silence, she closed the box.

We don't yet know if this elixir has any side effects, so we still need to be cautious.

Having obtained what she wanted, Wen Zheng quickly climbed to the wellhead, peered out, and saw that the surrounding shadows had not yet dispersed, wandering aimlessly around.

Wen Zheng took a large stone from the well wall. The loud scraping sound of the stone attracted the attention of the shadowy figure. As the shadowy figure approached, she threw the stone at it, successfully knocking one of the shadowy figures down.

The moment the dark figure fell to the ground, the noise caused the other dark figures to turn around and rush towards the fallen figure.

Wen Zheng quickly rummaged through the rocks, grabbed a handful of pebbles, and ran wildly in the direction she had left.

On the other side.

Elder Ye followed the black bird to the Discipline Hall where Shan Wuxiu was imprisoned. Other rooms were used to imprison disciples who had committed offenses.

After circling around, Elder Ye couldn't find any trace of the black bird. He frowned and paced back and forth between the rooftops, searching for it.

Having just shaken off the black bird that had been chasing him, he hid under the table where Shan Wuxiu was copying books, his beady eyes blinking as if he were plotting something wicked.

Dan Wuxiu was copying a book when he went to the outhouse. When he returned, he found several bird footprints on the meditation manual he had just copied on his desk.

"Where did these wild birds come from? They've all flown into the house." Shan Wuxiu cursed as he got up to close the window.

The moment his hand touched the window, a dark shadow landed in front of him.

Elder Ye didn't expect to make eye contact with Shan Wuxiu when he landed, but fortunately he had disguised himself and the other party couldn't tell.

Upon realizing that Shan Wuxiu was Shan Fengyu's biological son and might have known about the demons long ago, Elder Ye placed his sword against Shan Wuxiu's neck.

"If you dare to call someone, I'll kill you."

The longsword appeared even colder and more piercing under the moonlight, and when pressed against the neck, one could feel the chill emanating from its sharp blade.

Dan Wuxiu's expression changed repeatedly, and he gritted his teeth, saying, "Who are you? Trespassing into the Thousand Saints Palace, are you courting death?"

Elder Ye snorted coldly, climbed through the window and entered. The sword in his hand trembled slightly, startling Shan Wuxiu so much that he leaned back.

"It's just a Thousand Saints Palace, we've already broken in." After Elder Ye finished speaking, he quickly took out a pill and fed it into Shan Wuxiu's mouth.

The initial bitterness quickly turned into numbness. Dan Wuxiu stood rooted to the spot, unable to move, his eyes blinking wildly as if he were trying to say something.

Elder Ye ignored her and began searching the house with her sword. She had a feeling that Shan Wuxiu was definitely related to the black bird.

The longsword lifted the curtain of the partition, then slashed twice at the bed where Shan Wuxiu was sleeping, before finally stopping in front of the desk.

Looking at the scrawled handwriting on the table, Elder Ye frowned. Just as he was about to look away, he noticed that there were several bird footprints on the top page.

Her heart tightened, but she didn't show it on her face. She walked around the table, trying to figure out where the blackbird was hiding.

The black bird, hiding under the table, nervously gripped the wooden board with its sharp claws, hanging upside down under the desk.

Just as the footsteps faded into the distance, the blackbird breathed a sigh of relief, only to have its eyes widen and stare intently at it. Startled, it shrieked and flew away, landing on the desk.

"Finally found you." Elder Ye's sword slashed straight at the black bird, carrying a strong killing intent.

The black bird had wings and was small in size, so it easily dodged with a swoop. Turning its head to look at the table that had been split in two, it quickly flew to the roof beam, and black mist emanated from the feathers on its wings.

Elder Ye's sword strike missed its mark. He turned and stared at the direction of the black bird, then kicked off a pillar and leaped up to continue his slashing.

The longsword struck the black bird's wing, making a metallic clanging sound. The mist on the black bird dissipated considerably, and it appeared weak.

"You damned woman, Shan Fengyu will never let you get away with this!" Blackbird shouted and jumped back and forth on the roof beam, cursing incessantly.

Elder Ye kept his eyes fixed on the black bird, unaffected, and continued to pursue it relentlessly.

Dan Wuxiu stood still, his stiff body preventing him from looking up at the roof beams; he could only sense the sounds.

The person who climbed in had a grudge against Blackbird. Blackbird and his father seemed to have a good relationship, but the insults he used were extremely offensive.

If his body hadn't been stiff and unable to move, Shan Wuxiu would definitely have covered his ears and chased the black bird away.

The fight on the roof beams continued, with the blackbird forced into a corner, its wing feathers shooting out like poisonous thorns.

Elder Ye's longsword, which had been pressing down, was forced to retreat, blocking the flying feather.

After a few crisp metallic clanging sounds, a scream followed, and Blackbird and Elder Ye turned around to look.

A black feather was tied to Shan Wuxiu's chest. Before the man and the bird could react, it turned into black mist and seeped into his body.

"This is bad." Elder Ye disregarded the black bird and rushed to check on Shan Wuxiu's condition.

Dan Wuxiu's face turned black, and he instantly stopped breathing.

Elder Ye had no time to think and fed him a life-saving pill, but Shan Wuxiu showed no reaction and his chest did not rise or fall.

The black bird perched on the roof beam, its feathers ruffled with tension, too afraid to move.

When Elder Ye saw that the pills were not working, he took out a few more and fed them to him, and even put his finger on his neck to check his pulse.

Outside the ordination hall.

The elder of the Discipline Hall, led by the other disciples, came over and asked with a frown, "Are you sure there was a noise in the room?"

The disciple who led the way nodded and said, "I heard the sound of swords clashing; it sounds like someone is fighting."

The disciple who led the way was also locked in the disciplinary hall to reflect on his mistakes. He was in the room next to Shan Wuxiu's. He didn't pay much attention when he heard the fighting, until the sound from next door stopped and he panicked and called the elder.

The footsteps outside grew closer, and the life-saving pills Elder Ye had fed her had no effect. She gritted her teeth, glanced up at the black bird on the roof beam, and jumped out the window.

Blackbird and the others flew to Shan Wuxiu's body only after they had gone far away. Staring at the new hole in his body, his mind went blank.

Dan Fengyu is about to possess Dan Wuxiu. Now that Dan Wuxiu has been killed by it, Dan Fengyu is doomed.

Just as it was pondering, a voice came from the doorway and asked, "Young Palace Master, are you alright?"

The black bird stood on Shan Wuxiu's body, struggled in its beady eyes, and then transformed into black mist, plunging into Shan Wuxiu's body.

A moment later, Shan Wuxiu stood up again, "alive," opened the door, and asked the people outside, "What do you want?"

The elder of the Discipline Hall glared at the disciple who led the way, took a step back, and cupped his hands, saying, "It's nothing, I just came to see if the young palace master needs anything."

"We don't need it." Shan Wuxiu slammed the door shut and casually dismissed the two people outside.

Standing in the empty room of the ordination hall, Blackbird had not yet adjusted to his new body and squinted as he pondered what to do next.

Since Shan Wuxiu is already dead, Feng Yu will definitely hold him accountable for this. Right now, he's being besieged, so why not go and help him, and find an opportunity to pin the blame for Shan Wuxiu's death on someone else?

Having come up with a solution, Blackbird, carrying Shan Wuxiu's body, climbed out of the window and headed towards the location of Guanghua Palace.

When he arrived, Shan Fengyu had many wounds on his body, and Feng Gui and the others were all in a sorry state, but they clearly had the upper hand.

Feng Gui approached Shan Fengyu with a knife in hand. The back room of Guanghua Hall had been almost completely demolished by the group. Amidst the ruins, Shan Fengyu stood at the very end, clutching his chest and panting heavily.

"You can't kill me," Shan Fengyu sneered.

"Whether I can kill him or not is not up to you, it's up to me." Feng Gui said, raising his knife to strike.

The black bird, which had been hiding in the shadows, seized the opportunity to rush out and stab Feng Gui through the abdomen, splattering blood onto Shan Fengyu's face.

The sudden turn of events startled them. They rushed over and Feng Gui led her away, while Mu Qing, who was the least injured, stayed behind to cover their retreat.

He held the sword, staring at Shan Wuxiu, whose pupils were completely black, and attempted to stab him. The latter easily dodged, his eyes filled with mockery.

Not wanting to linger in the fight, Mu Qing finished her attack and turned to leave, following in the footsteps of the others.

In the courtyard, while Wen Zheng was still debating whether or not to take the pill, someone knocked on her door and carried Feng Gui in.

"What happened? How did you get so badly injured?"
