She instinctively felt that something must have happened to Du Mingan.
She was worried and wanted to go and take a look.
Aunt Hua had no choice but to order people to follow closely, fearing that something might happen to Zhao Yunzhu.
Zhao Yunzhu was searching in the yard. She always felt that Du Mingan was there.
"Shh!"
Zhao Yunzhu suddenly stopped and signaled the people behind him to move more quietly.
She listened attentively to the movements inside the rockery. There was a slight movement inside the huge rockery.
"Go in and take a look." Zhao Yunzhu instructed the people behind him.
She originally wanted to walk in front, but was stopped by Aunt Hua.
Zhao Yunzhu had no choice but to give up and followed Aunt Hua.
After wandering around in the rockery for a while, they finally saw two figures in front of them.
"General Du?"
"Yunzhu?"
Zhao Yunzhu recognized at a glance that the person in front was Young Master Du.
He held an old slave with his hands. The slave saw the man coming and cried out for help, "Help, help!"
"Shut up!"
Du Ming'an raised his hand and slapped the old slave hard in the face.
The old slave was beaten so hard that blood came out of the corner of his mouth.
Zhao Yunzhu looked at Du Mingan in confusion.
"This old fellow, I remember now. When I was fighting the enemy, he took advantage of the chaos and slashed me from behind. If it weren't for this old fellow, how could I have let people think that I was dead in battle with no remains left?"
Du Mingan had lost his memory before, and although his memory has been restored, he can no longer remember many things.
If it weren't for the coincidence today that allowed him to run into this old slave, he would not have remembered how he disappeared from the battlefield.
"Tell me, who is the master behind you?"
Du Mingan slapped him again.
If it weren't for this old guy, so many things wouldn't have happened later.
The old slave was beaten dizzy by Du Ming'an.
My mind is blank.
He clenched his teeth and refused to say a word.
He cursed secretly in his heart. He didn't usually work in the Yong'an Marquis' Mansion. It was just that today, because the Yong'an Marquis' Mansion was going to entertain the Chang'an family and there were not enough people in the mansion, he was called over to help.
I never thought that I would be so unlucky to run into the young master today and be recognized by him.
If he dared to say a word today, he would die, and even his family would suffer.
"The general has recognized the wrong person. I don't understand what the young master is saying."
"General, I really don't understand what you are saying."
"Please, General, please spare me."
The old slave begged and cried.
Du Mingan sneered, "Oh, you old thing, you don't want to say it? Later, this general has plenty of ways to make you speak! Even if you turn into ashes, this general will not admit his mistake!"
"Someone, lock this old guy up first!"
As soon as Du Ming'an finished speaking, a guard came forward and dragged the old slave away.
The old slave tried to struggle to attract attention.
"There are all distinguished guests in the mansion today. Don't let this old man disturb them. Knock him out and drag him away!"
As Du Ming'an finished speaking, the guard raised his hand and slapped the old slave unconscious.
When the guard dragged the unconscious old slave past Zhao Yunzhu, he saw the faint light from the rockery.
She lowered her eyes and glanced at the old slave, her heart emptying.
"Manager Fu?"
When Du Mingan heard Zhao Yunzhu's voice, he became curious about her.
He walked towards Zhao Yunzhu and asked, "Do you know him?"
There was still shock in Zhao Yunzhu's eyes. She nodded towards Du Mingan and said, "Yes, I know him."
"He is the steward who helps Mr. Du Er manage the shop outside. I saw him when he returned to the mansion to report the account books to Mr. Du Er."
Du Ming's heart sank.
Okay, okay.
It turned out to be his second uncle's man.
It seems that the person who killed her was his second uncle.
This result made Du Ming'an feel sad, because his second uncle and his father were brothers from the same mother.
But his second uncle actually wanted to kill him.
"General Du."
Zhao Yunzhu looked at Du Ming'an worriedly, only to see that there seemed to be ice in his eyes and a creepy sneer hidden in the corners of his lips.
Du Mingan came back to his senses, as if he was afraid of scaring Zhao Yunzhu.
He suppressed the coldness on his face and said, "Yunzhu, I'm sorry, I scared you."
"No problem."
Zhao Yunzhu smiled and shook her head slightly.
Du Mingan's eyes finally hid a trace of sadness. "I never thought that my second uncle, who has loved and protected me since childhood, would actually harbor murderous intentions towards me."
He laughed at himself.
Zhao Yunzhu quietly followed her out of the rockery.
Only then did I know the whole story from Du Ming'an.
"So what are you going to do now?"
Zhao Yunzhu turned her head to look at Du Mingan, wanting to know what he had in mind.
Du Mingan narrowed his eyes, "Isn't today a perfect opportunity?"
"Today?" Zhao Yunzhu was stunned. If this matter was exposed at the banquet today, how would the Yong'an Marquis Mansion survive in Chang'an City?
"Well, how can I miss such a good opportunity today?"
Seeing Du Ming'an's firm attitude, he seemed to have made up his mind long ago.
Zhao Yunzhu did not try to persuade him any further.
"This Yong'an Marquis Mansion has long ceased to be my home. What does everything in this mansion have to do with me? In the future, when I am not in Chang'an, no matter how people laugh at the Yong'an Marquis Mansion, it will have nothing to do with me."
There was a hint of helplessness in Du Ming'an's smile.
