Chapter 77 Qingyue is melted by Langzhi

Chapter 77 Qingyue is melted by Langzhi

"Qingyue, don't be so harsh on Yao'er, she's still young..." Langzhi gently advised.

“If I’m not strict with her, she’ll always find a loophole! You didn’t see it, she was incredibly arrogant when we first brought her back from the wolf clan! Xuanfeng had to give her a good beating to finally control her!” Qingyue sighed. “If I hadn’t given her a good slap that day at the academy, she wouldn’t listen to me now!”

Langzhi couldn't help but laugh as he watched Qingyue scold Yao'er.

"What are you laughing at?!" Qingyue said coquettishly, "You're finally getting some peace and quiet here, while I'm constantly being driven crazy by Xuanfeng and Yao'er..."

Qingyue suddenly covered her mouth. Langzhi wasn't enjoying some peace and quiet at all; she was the one who had caused all this trouble...

She looked at Langzhi guiltily, "I..."

Langzhi looked at the self-reproaching Qingyue with tender eyes, "You know I have a very peaceful life here, so why haven't you come to see me all these years?"

Qingyue felt a sudden emptiness in her heart, and tears welled up instantly. "I can't... I'm so sorry... I'm the one who hurt you... I thought... you would hate me to death... I can't..."

“Silly girl, I thought…you despise me…” Langzhi’s eyes began to gleam with a silvery light, and her voice choked with emotion, “How can I go to you looking like this…”

"Langzhi..." Qingyue covered her face and pressed her head against Langzhi's chest.

"Tuan Yue..." Lang Zhi hugged Qing Yue tightly, gently stroking her head with his rough hands, "Don't you mind that I've become like this?"

Qingyue buried her face in Langzhi's scented clothes, sobbing as she said, "Yao'er said that if you truly like someone, you won't find fault with them..."

Langzhi smiled, moved, and said, "How can I, a toad, resist such a proactive attitude from you, this swan?"

"You're so unruly!" Qingyue punched Langzhi's chest with her delicate fist, hitting right at the heart of Langzhi.

Lang Zhi felt a tickle in his heart as Qing Yue teased him. Looking at the still alluring Qing Yue in his arms, he awkwardly pouted his lips towards her...

"Grandpa Langzhi!" Su Yuyao rushed into the house, oblivious to the tact, and shouted, "The latrine stinks too much! Please clean it up, I can't even... um... I'm sorry..."

Su Yuyao stuck out her tongue, hugged the spider silk ball, and hid away.

Qingyue pushed Langzhi away and hurriedly straightened her clothes and hair. Langzhi clicked her tongue and gritted her teeth, saying, "This child, even a beating wouldn't be enough! She's just making things worse!" After saying that, she pulled Qingyue, whose face was red, closer to her with a pout.

Qingyue frowned, half-heartedly resisting, "Oh, please don't..."

"Grandpa Langzhi, hurry up, the latrine really stinks..." Su Yuyao's cautious voice drifted in, which was quite annoying.

Qingyue pushed Langzhi away again, holding her flushed face, and said, "Go and clean up the latrine bucket, Yao'er can't stand it anymore!"

"Oh dear..." Langzhi rubbed Qingyue's shoulder, "I can't take it anymore either..."

Qingyue frowned, slapped Langzhi's hand away, and raised an eyebrow at Langzhi, "You old lecher! Get back to work!"

Lang Zhi's lips curled into a smile. He lifted Qing Yue's chin with his hand, gently pressing his thumb against Qing Yue's luscious lips. He glanced at Qing Yue's sparkling eyes with a very mischievous look, "I want to... work for you..."

Qingyue's heart seemed to stop beating. She looked at the person she had kept deep in her heart, and her solidified heart was being loosened layer by layer by the throbbing that had been sealed for thousands of years...

What should I do? How can I explain this to my mother? How can I explain it to Qingjin? What will outsiders think of me? And do I... still deserve him?

Lang Zhi seemed to sense Qing Yue's conflict and hesitation. He paused for a moment, smiled slightly, and said softly, "Silly girl! I'm going to work..."

Langzhi turned away quickly, concealing the desolation on her face. "I am already ugly and wretched, of lowly status. Do I still deserve to love her? Why should I trouble myself, indulging in wishful thinking..."

Su Yuyao was standing by the door, facing the wall, holding a ball of spider silk, her nose twitching. She was impatiently flipping through the spider silk ball, wondering where it all ended.

"Grandpa Langzhi!" Su Yuyao saw Langzhi step out of the room and quickly held up the ball, asking, "How do we find the head? We can't tell from here!"

Langzhi bent down, looked into Su Yuyao's eyes, and said with a smile, "You can only see the outside with your eyes, but you can see the inside with your heart! Use the facts you see to guess what's inside!"

Lang Zhi pointed at the ball of spider silk in Su Yuyao's hand, "Take a good look at the spider silk on this. Every single strand of spider silk is a single strand of spider silk!"

"Every single spider silk is a single spider silk?" Su Yuyao shook her head as she pondered, "I don't understand..."

"Use your brain!" Lang Zhi tapped Su Yuyao's head with his thick fingers.

"Grandpa Langzhi, you..." Su Yuyao looked at the barely perceptible inferiority on Langzhi's face, and she didn't dare to ask any more questions. She could only change the subject, "Just tell me which one is the head, I can't find it!"

"Yao'er! Don't be lazy!" Qingyue walked out with a livid face, glared at Su Yuyao, and then tidied up the courtyard that had already been tidied up.

Su Yuyao looked at Qingyue, who was sulking, with a puzzled expression.

“Grandpa Langzhi,” she asked softly, “why is the Empress angry?”

Langzhi looked at Qingyue with a puzzled expression, "I...I don't know..."

"Is it because you're too old and not up to it... that Your Majesty is angry?" Su Yuyao asked softly again.

"Don't talk nonsense!" Langzhi scolded in a low voice, "What nonsense are you talking about at such a young age?!"

"Hmph! I may be young, but I know everything!" Su Yuyao said defiantly.

"My age doesn't mean I'm incapable!" Langzhi secretly pointed at Qingyue, who was sweeping the courtyard, "It's you, Lady Qingyue, who's incapable..."

“Oh…” Su Yuyao squinted and thought for a moment, “Grandpa Langzhi, I think the reason why the Empress is like this… is probably because you did something you shouldn’t have done!”

"I didn't do anything!" Langzhi said innocently.

Upon hearing this, Su Yuyao smiled and said softly, "That means you didn't do what you were supposed to do..."

“I didn’t do… what I should have done…” Langzhi suddenly laughed.

As Qingyue listened to the father and son gossiping about her, she swept the yard with increasing force, and in no time, the yard was filled with dust...

"Su Yuyao! I told you to stand facing the wall, who told you to chat?!" Qingyue picked up a broom and walked towards Su Yuyao, swinging the broom at her.

"Ah! Ah! Help!" Su Yuyao quickly dodged.

"Don't get excited! Don't get excited!" Lang Zhi quickly stopped him.

"Su Yuyao! I'll teach you to talk nonsense! I'll teach you to be so unprofessional! You've taken my kindness for granted! I've been thinking about you all this time!" Although Qingyue was calling out Su Yuyao's name, she was cursing Langzhi, who was standing in front of Su Yuyao, and she swung the broom and hit Langzhi every time.

Langzhi winced in pain, but secretly she was overjoyed. "I was wrong, I was wrong, don't be angry!"

This time, Su Yuyao wisely held the spider silk ball and hid far away. She placed the spider silk ball on the ground and kept turning it over and over. How could she see the inside of this spider silk ball from the outside? It looked like a pig's brain, where was the spider silk head?

She tried to pull it with her hand, stretching out a coil, and several small pits immediately appeared on the surface of the ball.

Huh? Not this one! Then it's this one?

Su Yuyao stretched out another coil, and the sphere collapsed into several more dents.

It's not this one! Then which one is it?

Su Yuyao stretched out coil after coil, making the spider silk ball increasingly irregular.

She stepped on one coil with her foot and supported another with her arm, trying to untangle it for a long time. The knots in the spider silk ball got smaller and smaller, but she still couldn't see where the end of the spider silk was.

She squatted on the ground, looking at the tangled mess of spider silk she had made, and sighed. What happened? I've untangled so much, but I still can't find the end of the silk! Does it even have an end? If I can't find it, I won't be able to eat. What am I going to do?

"Don't be angry! Don't be angry!" Lang Zhi was still coaxing Qing Yue. He gently took the broom from Qing Yue's hand and said with a smile, "Yao'er is still young, I'll teach her slowly..."

"I didn't know she was young?!" Qingyue rolled her eyes at Langzhi. "Aren't you going to do your work?! Are you waiting for me to do it?!"

"I'll go right now! I'll go right now!" Langzhi said hurriedly. "Let's not be angry anymore, okay?"

Qingyue's lips curled up slightly without her noticing, but she immediately turned cold and aloof, glancing at Langzhi, "What does it matter to you whether I'm angry or not?"

After saying that, she swayed and went into the house.

Lang Zhi grinned mischievously, winked at Su Yuyao, and turned to get back to work.

Su Yuyao squatted on the ground watching the two of them flirting, and grinned foolishly.

Smoke rose again from Langzhi's small kitchen, another pile of manure appeared in the dung drying yard, and several more knots appeared on Su Yuyao's spider silk...

As Qingyue began setting the table, and Langzhi washed off the stench of feces with clean water, Su Yuyao's spiderwebs were so numerous they formed a chain.

As Lang Zhi dried herself off, she walked up behind Su Yuyao. "Yao'er, how's the search going?"

Su Yuyao squatted on the ground, turned around and looked at Lang Zhi with a bitter face, "Grandpa Lang Zhi, please ask the Empress for me, if she can't find the spider silk head, will she really not let me eat?"

Langzhi gasped as she looked at the mess of spiderwebs scattered on the floor. She rubbed her head for a while before finally asking, "How...did you get this?"

Su Yuyao lowered her head, pointing to the spiderweb-like bumps with her finger, and said, "I don't know either, I just kept stretching it and it turned into this... There weren't so many bumps at first..."

Su Yuyao raised her head again, looking pitifully at Lang Zhi. Her chubby cheeks were flushed red by the sun, and her big eyes were bulging as if she was about to shed tears.

Lang Zhi glanced at the ruined high-quality spider silk on the ground, then at Su Yuyao's appearance, and couldn't bring herself to scold her. "Hey, don't cry! I can't stand women crying!"

He turned around and glanced at Qingyue, who was busy inside and outside the house. "You should hide these quickly, lest Lady Qingyue find them!" After saying that, he reached out and released a ball of identical spider silk. With a casual tug, he pulled out a spider silk thread.

He tossed the new spider silk ball to Su Yuyao, saying, "Use this to get by in a bit; it might fool you! Once the Empress's anger has subsided, I'll teach you slowly!"

"Mmm!" Su Yuyao happily held the spider silk ball tightly, as if it were her own rice bowl.

"Yao'er! How's the teardown going?" Qingyue walked towards Su Yuyao.

Langzhi quickly stepped forward, blocking Qingyue's view, "We haven't found the leader yet! It's not that easy! Give her some more time!"

"Is it that hard? Or are you just not putting your mind to it!" Qingyue leaned forward to look at Su Yuyao. "You better pay attention! If you can't even find your head, then don't eat!"

"Oh dear, Yao'er knows, she's been working hard!" Langzhi pulled Qingyue into his arms, turned back to Su Yuyao, winked at her, and said sternly, "Yao'er! Just do as I taught you! Pay attention! Do you hear me?"

Su Yuyao quickly kicked the ruined spider silk into the haystack next to her and replied with a smile, "I heard you!"

Langzhi pushed Qingyue into the house, "I'm so hungry, what are you making for me?"

"I rolled out noodles and stir-fried some vegetables! Yao'er!" Qingyue said, then walked over to Su Yuyao. "Hurry up, or the noodles will clump together... Hey! Why are you always blocking my way!"

"Never mind Yao'er, let's eat first!" Lang Zhi coaxed Qing Yue into the house with a combination of pushing and embracing.

Langzhi slurped his noodles while admiring Qingyue's shyness.

"Why are you staring at me like that?!" Qingyue blushed and her heart pounded under his gaze.

"How come you haven't aged at all? You're still so beautiful..." Lang Zhi stared intently into Qing Yue's eyes, his aggressive gaze leaving Qing Yue defenseless and causing her to become somewhat confused.

Langzhi slowly placed her hand on Qingyue's thigh and rubbed it.

Qingyue pretended to be angry, blocking Langzhi's hand, and said softly, "You haven't changed either, you're still so improper!"

Langzhi gently moved his palm, tightening, rubbing, loosening, and flicking it.

Qingyue felt this familiar yet unfamiliar emotion, this longing yet eager anticipation!

Langzhi watched as Qingyue softened, then slowly brought his rough lips to her ear, gently touching her cheek and her fair neck.

Qingyue finally couldn't hold back and hugged Langzhi's neck.

Langzhi looked up at Qingyue. Although he was broken and devastated, he loved her and knew that she still loved him!

He pulled Qingyue into his arms with a little force, and Qingyue, caught off guard, pounced on him and sat on Langzhi's lap.

"Langzhi, don't go too far!" Qingyue said softly.

Langzhi held Qingyue's waist, his warm voice flowing over her neck, "What do you mean by 'excessive'?"

His intruding hand suddenly tightened, trembling as it appeared before Langzhi's eyes. He lowered his head, savoring the taste, quenching his thirst.

Qingyue was struck by the sudden warmth, and the icy chill that had slumbered for a thousand years melted away in that instant! She felt shy, yet couldn't bear to stop it. Her skirt swayed slightly, and she rose above desire. The ice and snow shyly melted, soaking in a thousand years of decaying emotions!

She nestled in Langzhi's arms, letting his large hands cup her peach-like breasts. She felt a little ashamed, but she didn't want to refuse.

A dragon swims in a deep pool—swift, profound, and warm!

The cold moonlight beauty eventually transforms into nectar!

Su Yuyao held the spider silk ball and calculated the time. It was about time. If it was any later, the noodles would probably really clump together!

"Your Majesty! I..." Su Yuyao rushed in, carrying a ball of spider silk.

"Ah! I'm sorry..." She ran out again, clutching the spider silk ball.

Qingyue suddenly woke up. What am I doing?!

...

Su Yuyao, her face flushed, squatted by the door, listening to the two's final sprint...

"Slap!" A loud slap landed on Langzhi's face.

Qingyue stood up angrily and straightened her clothes, while Langzhi rubbed his face and grinned mischievously, "It doesn't hurt at all!"

Qingyue turned around and raised her hand to slap him again, but Langzhi grabbed her waist and said, "You're so unruly! Let go! Yao'er is outside!"

Langzhi buried her face in Qingyue's soft chest and said with a feeling of deep peace, "Tuanyue, do you know how much I've missed you..."

Qingyue's heart softened suddenly. She stroked Langzhi's scarred head and said emotionally, "Me too..."

Suddenly, she felt Langzhi's restless hand sliding down her waistline to her buttocks.

"Tuan Yue..." Lang Zhi pinched Qing Yue's butt and said, "Let's do it again in a little while..."

"You stinky spider! You're so irresponsible!" Qingyue scolded, slapping Langzhi's head.

Langzhi, however, was all smiles despite being beaten.
