Chapter Fifty-Eight: Bringing Him Back

Xiao Se's father bled a lot along the way. Lin Weiwei stayed with him in the ambulance the whole time. She breathed a sigh of relief as she watched the heart rate monitor fluctuate. The housekeeper, who was lying next to him, looked at Mr. Xiao and started to sob.

"Stop crying! Tell me what was sent!"

Originally preparing for tomorrow's press conference, on the way to take President Xiao home, I received a phone call saying that Young Master Xiao had been kidnapped and that the police should be called immediately to kill the hostage, not for cash, but for the shares.

Who is Xiao Aotian? How could he be threatened? This call demanding shares instead of cash is clearly from a corporate spy. He didn't react at all, assuming it was a scam call. But when he saw the screen in the car showing his son tied to a wooden bench, his green pupils looking like they were infected with a virus, his convulsing expression, he was completely terrified.

He immediately took out 50% of the family's shares and cooperated with the police to report the incident. Before he could reach the designated destination, he was attacked! Xiao Aotian recognized the pair of white-winged boys at a glance. Although they were wearing masks and standing in the middle of the road, with the female assassin who killed Lin Weiwei beside them, there was no doubt that their eyes looked exactly like his mother's.

He stepped forward, stepped on the gas, and sped off, only to crash into a large truck, resulting in a rear-end collision.

"It's all my fault. I should have stopped President Xiao. Why did I let him climb up?" One slap after another landed on his face.

It seems Xiao intends to take over the Xiao Group! At that time, Xiao Se must have lost all self-awareness.

At this moment, Lin Weiwei frowned; things were becoming increasingly complicated. She was just a college student interstellar agent with absolutely no business experience. She didn't know what kind of market value that 50% stake represented, especially since it was essentially a family matter. But her weapons…

When I arrived at the hospital's intensive care unit, I saw many experts coming and going. I gritted my teeth and immediately went home to get the sniper rifle I had captured. I still had thirty rounds left.

They must have flown towards the mountains near the research lab today. I'll go stake out there tonight and see what happens; there might be other things to do later. He wrapped his entire arm, wrist, and ankle in bandages, dressed in black, and crouched at the crossroads at the foot of the mountain.

As she watched the time tick by on her watch, it was almost eleven o'clock. Fewer and fewer cars were passing by, and mosquitoes buzzed incessantly in her ears near the bushes, yet she remained motionless, gazing intently upwards. At twelve o'clock, the traffic light's display showed the time, and in the distance, she saw a pair of figures waving white wings.

Xiao Se stood on the overpass, took out a white porcelain jar from his sleeve, and smiled wickedly at the sea across the way.

Just as he pulled out the stopper, Lin Weiwei immediately fired a shot. Bang... The bottle shattered, and the colored powder inside splashed all over his face, stinging his skin.

Xiao Se turned her head and looked in the direction of the launch, then ran towards it. Seeing this, she ran into the depths of the jungle. Even birds flying in the sky have blind spots when they enter the forest. The weeds at night obscured part of the vision, and since she was dressed in all black, she couldn't see Lin Weiwei at all.

"If you're a man, come out here! What kind of sneak attack is this? Ouch...it hurts so much!" At this moment, his face was incredibly itchy and he reached out to scratch it. He heard a river flowing and followed the sound of the water.

Just as he was scooping up some water to wash his face, his throat was bound with bandages, and he was dragged back into the jungle. He yanked hard on the tight bandage, his face turning red and his eyes rolling back.

A black figure appeared, flapping its wings and taking flight alongside her. "I refuse to believe it! Are you trying to fly me like a kite, or am I going to walk you like a dog on the ground?" As it flew, it plucked feathers to brush the powder off its face. Its vision gradually cleared, and the black figure with long black hair was a woman!

"Hey, little girl, got your eye on your brother?" Xiao Se looked at the back and felt that it was familiar, but he couldn't remember who it was. He whistled in a roguish way, grabbed the bandage, and flew higher and higher.

Hey girl? You son of a bitch... This scoundrel doesn't even know who I am.

Xiao Se had no idea that Lin Weiwei was burning with rage. As she soared higher and higher, he was suddenly caught in a tornado, which swung him around in circles, pulling in the surrounding fallen leaves and creating a huge storm.

The storm made the branches hum, startling the birds in the forest and causing them to scatter from their nests. Wild deer and leopards ran wildly away from the forest.

Stop spinning... I'm going to throw up. At this point, his face was turning blue and his mouth was turning purple. His wings, which had been hit by stones, had lost a lot of feathers and were covered in red bumps.

Lin Weiwei narrowed her eyes, grunted, and pulled him back forcefully. The whirlwind stopped, and he fell heavily from the sky. The ground shook. "Dare to flirt like that?" she thought. She rushed forward, grabbed his collar, and shoved him into the stream.

Glug glug

He gulped down a lot of river water; the icy liquid entered his intestines, irritating his stomach. He suddenly opened his eyes wide and finally saw the person's face clearly: Lin Weiwei! Her left eye had returned to brown, while her other eye remained a bright green.

"Tell me, who am I?"

"Lin Weiwei," Xiao Se gritted his teeth, glaring fiercely at the woman in front of him.

Cluck cluck cluck, its head was submerged in the stream again.

"Tell me, who am I?" He seemed dissatisfied with the answer. Kid, you were just being pretty cocky.

"Hoo hoo, stop hitting me... the leader of Preparatory Class 7"

Hmm? Looks like I didn't hit him hard enough; that's all he remembers. I grabbed the bandage like casting a net, lifted him by the hindquarters, and threw him directly into the river. Watching the man thrashing about in the water, I squatted down, propping my chin on my hand, like an amusement. The river was deep, but the current was slow at night; he wouldn't be swept away immediately.

"Wife! I was wrong." In the water, he was like a landlubber; his feathers couldn't fly as soon as they got wet. His pupils gradually returned to their normal color. At least his feathers were floating on the water, but once they disappeared, they sank into the water.

Seeing this, Lin Weiwei waved her hand and pulled the bandage, dragging him out of the river. She pinched his chin, stared into his eyes for a long time, and saw no further signs of mutation. Good! He's temporarily back to normal.

As she unwrapped the bandages and got up to leave, a pair of large hands grabbed her legs. "Wife, I missed you so much!" he said, completely abandoning his masculine demeanor and becoming coquettish and fawning.

"Get up now!"

The thought of Uncle Xiao's face covered in blood—how could a father not love his son?—made her completely lose interest in any romantic moments with him. She glared at the mentally challenged man on the ground, startling him so much that he immediately got up and led him towards the hospital.
