The people of the Blacksmiths' Guild are not for the Mercenary Alliance to manage.
Wu Jing nodded, "Yes, it is an honor for us to have Miss Hua, a blacksmith from the Blacksmith Guild, come to the Mercenary Alliance. However, this incident has occurred, and it is our alliance's fault for not being hospitable enough."
Hua Ansu raised an eyebrow. So that's how it is. The identity of a blacksmith really is an all-powerful pass, and can even be used as a "get-out-of-jail-free card".
However, these people are too well-informed; they've investigated her thoroughly.
Wu Jing could tell what Hua Ansu was thinking just by looking at her expression, mainly because Hua Ansu didn't try to hide it.
He explained, half-laughing and half-crying, "The Blacksmiths' Guild sent someone to inform us that we had indeed offended Miss Hua."
Hua Ansu: "Oh."
She felt a little embarrassed for no reason. She thought that he had found out about her and A-Gu, but it turned out that this was not the case at all.
Wu Jing said, "I already knew the details of this matter before. It was Qiong Ju, a member of the Lengye Mercenary Group, who provoked us first. I will deal with her."
Hua Ansu nodded aloofly.
"Actually, even if you two hadn't come today, I would have paid you a visit anyway."
"Regarding Mr. Aichiko's deposit..."
Wu Jing looked at Hua Ansu and asked, "Miss Hua, could I speak with Mr. A-Yi-Gu alone?"
Hua Ansu: "Huh? Oh."
She obediently agreed to go out; if it was just a private talk, then so be it. She was very understanding.
Aygula stopped the person who wanted to leave, saying, "She never needs to avoid anything."
Looking at Hua Ansu, the woman secretly stuck out her tongue.
The words were spoken to Wu Jing.
Wu Jing understood. He stood up, looked at A Yigu, and said, "Lord Zhisu, it's been a long time."
His tone was respectful, as if he were a subordinate.
Hua Ansu was slightly surprised, but A Yigu accepted the respect with ease, saying, "Old Wu, it's been a long time."
Upon hearing A-Yi-Gu's admission, Wu Jing's eyes immediately reddened. "You're finally back."
A-Yi Gu nodded.
? ? ?
Hua Ansu was completely bewildered. Had A Yigu's identity been exposed?
When did you realize they'd been found out?
How did Wu Jing recognize A-Yi-Gu?
After being invited to sit down, Wu Jing said, "If I hadn't thoroughly investigated the black card, I wouldn't have known it belonged to Lord Zhi Su."
It turns out that A-I-Gu's first layer of identity on his black card was fake. Wu Jing investigated further and found out that it was Zhi-Su's black card.
Wu Jing got to the point, "Regarding the whereabouts of your savings, Lord Zhisu, I've already made some progress..."
A-Yi-Gu took a sip of the tea Wu Jing poured for him; it tasted good, just like back then.
Seeing that Wu Jing did not continue, A Yigu raised his eyebrows, said nothing, turned around and handed Hua Ansu a cup of tea, "Try it, it's not bad."
Hua An was focused on waiting for Wu Jing to finish his sentence, so he had no interest in drinking tea.
However, Ah-gu handed it to her, and she drank it all in one gulp, as if it were a bottle of alcohol.
A-Yi-Gu smiled slightly at his daughter.
Wu Jing, "..."
He then continued, his face contorted with emotion, his words faltering, "It is... the Alliance Leader."
A-Yigu's expression was not surprised.
Wu Jing couldn't figure out what he was thinking. "I haven't come clean with the alliance leader about this yet..."
He never imagined that the person who did this would be the leader of the alliance he had known for over thirty years. He had suspected many core members of the alliance, but he never thought of the leader. In his mind, the leader, Meng Luo, had always been an upright gentleman. How could he do something like embezzling other people's money?
But that's the truth, a truth that Wu Jing finds hard to accept.
He wanted to confront them, but the leader of the alliance was away from the city these days.
