Chapter 37 A Kiss (2)

A-Gu was taken aback by her sudden departure and paused for a moment before replying, "Oh."

Hua Ansu's eyes pried at him, "Are you coming with me?"

He didn't react.

Hua Ansu changed her approach, asking, "Aren't you worried about my injury?"

He listened attentively and replied seriously, "Then recover well before you leave."

"But I have to go back and check on the situation. I promised Grandpa Minister that I would build up the tribe."

There's no rush.

"Then may I stay a few more days?"

"Um."

Five days later, the beast tide receded, and when Hua Ansu left, not only A-Yi-Gu, but also the monkey mother, baby monkeys, and other monkeys she knew came to see her off, bringing gifts such as fruit, medicinal plants, and shiny stones...

Give her what you think is the best.

A-Yi-Gu handed over the last of his packed bags to Hua An-Su, who unceremoniously put them all into her storage ring.

He looked at the ring on her ring finger and reminded her, "Some things are better left unseen."

"This interstellar space is not as simple as you think."

Was he warning her to be careful of the tribe?

With their meager fighting strength, what could they possibly do to her?

Seeing that she still didn't seem to care and didn't take his words to heart, he said, "The two people I met yesterday were from Picheng."

"Don't flaunt your wealth; always be wary of others."

"Don't be fooled by how backward the tribe is; it's just that it's separated from Pi City."

She was too careless in concealing her identity and the treasures she carried; he feared that others would covet them.

Hua Ansu nodded every time A-Yigu said something, and finally stepped forward to give him a hug, leaving him speechless. As she stepped back, she tilted her head and placed a light kiss on his cheek, smiling sweetly, "A-Yigu, you're so good!"

"Don't worry, I'll take good care of myself."

She ran a few steps and then turned back, "Aigoo, it's my birthday in ten days, you have to come see me! You're my special guest!"

Her figure gradually faded into the distance. Today, she was wearing a light green dress that she had taken out from her storage ring. The hem of the dress was embroidered with lotus flowers, and with each step she took, a lotus flower bloomed. She stood out in the dark forest, looking very refreshing, just like her.

A-yi stood frozen in place, unable to come to her senses for a long, long time; the warmth she had left on her right cheek still seemed to linger.

The mother monkey covered her mouth and laughed, then led her waving baby monkey away.

The monkeys were quite clever, and they made their way off the stage in all sorts of stealthy movements.

When Hua Ansu returned to the tribe, her hands were full of specialties from the Demon Forest. How could she not know that A Yigu had reminded her? She wasn't stupid; she would naturally not reveal what she should keep hidden.

"Ansu, you're finally alright! I was so worried about you these past few days!"

When the minister's wife saw that Hua Ansu had returned safe and sound, she finally felt relieved.

But she didn't have time to offer any more words of comfort before the women swarmed around her.

"Madam Minister, you must do us justice! My son has been taken away by her for so many days, and now only she has returned..."

"Yes, Madam Minister, it's been so many days. It's been anything but peaceful outside these days. Oh dear, I can't live without seeing my son today!"

These villagers have been following Hua'an Sujin tribe ever since, and they have been demanding an explanation.

"Quiet down."

The minister's wife truly lived up to her title; those three words silenced the entire room.

Hua Ansu put down her things, pulled aside the minister's wife who was about to speak up for her, and gently shook her head, saying that she would handle her own affairs.
