Chapter 8 Predestined

Yang Shun and the HR manager looked at each other and walked to the right together.

Xie Sen followed the two men to the entrance of the first floor lobby. There were four or five people standing at the entrance. One of the two in front was a maintenance worker wearing a white suit similar to Yang Shun's. He was apologizing to the man in the purple shirt opposite him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that. I'm so sorry."

“What’s the use of saying sorry!” The purple-clothed man’s voice was hoarse, his eyes were red, “You hurt Xiao’er. It’s so scared now. Maybe it will be afraid of injections from now on.”

He was holding a white ball in his hand, with its entire body buried in his arms, leaving only a short, round tail exposed. There was a stain of blood on the lower left side of the tail, which was particularly noticeable among the white fur.

As he spoke, he gently stroked Bai Tuan's back with his right hand and walked out: "I will definitely file a complaint against you. I wonder who will dare to give the contract to you for treatment in the future."

"Please wait." Yang Shun stepped forward and shouted. His voice was very gentle, which easily made people feel good about him. Perhaps for this reason, the man in purple stopped and looked at Yang Shun.

The moment he saw Yang Shun, his expression became even uglier: "Manager Yang, I think you should be more strict in recruiting."

The maintenance technician felt guilty, and couldn't help feeling wronged when he heard him say that. He whispered, "It kicked its legs suddenly, and I accidentally hurt it. It really wasn't intentional. I'm a professional."

"Xiao Ke." Yang Shun shouted disapprovingly.

The purple-clothed man got even angrier when he heard that. "You mean it's all my little girl's fault and it has nothing to do with you, right?" He took a breath. "Not only is your job not good, but you're also shirking responsibility. If your professionalism and shirking responsibility are the same, then I absolutely admit that you are professional."

He was so angry that he didn't even plan to leave: "You don't admit it, right? I'm going to make a complaint now. I'll also have reporters come and broadcast the whole thing live, so that no one else will be cheated by your care center in the future."

"Mr. Lin," Yang Shun said in a gentle tone, "I think the most important thing now is to bandage Xiao'er and then treat him. What do you think? The longer you delay, the longer he will be in pain."

Mr. Lin looked at the injured and trembling Bai Tuan, his eyes full of heartache: "How can you trust you? I came here to treat Xiao Er's flu, but I didn't get the injection, and I got injured instead!"

Yang Shun said: "We are both females with contracted beasts. I understand your feelings. I promise that there will be no more problems. I will bandage it myself."

Mr. Lin hesitated for a moment and nodded: "I will trust you again. If Xiao'er's body was not shaking more and more severely and there were no other nursing centers nearby, I would definitely change to another one."

Yang Shun said sincerely: "Thank you for your trust, please follow me."

Yang Shun took Mr. Lin into the hall, and the maintenance worker followed nervously behind. Xie Sen looked at the HR manager, hesitating whether he should follow.

The HR manager said, "You follow Manager Yang. He will arrange relevant work for you. I will send you the work contract as soon as possible."

Xie Sen quickly thanked him: "Thank you, manager." Then he trotted to catch up with Yang Shun.

Several people went to a clinic together. Yang Shun took out the tools and disinfectant for cleaning the wound and asked Mr. Lin to put the white ball on the cushion on the table.

The purple-clothed man moved his hand a little further away, and the white ball immediately leaned towards him, shaking violently, looking panic-stricken.

"Don't be afraid, don't be afraid." He comforted Yang Shun softly and asked, "What should we do? If we move like this, we will bleed more."

Yang Shun walked up to him and asked Xiao Ke: "Left hind leg?" Xiao Ke nodded.

Yang Shun looked at the white ball on its head and limbs, and then at Mr. Lin who was worried, and gently suggested: "Follow its back and put it down quickly. Don't let go of it. Give it a sense of security."

Mr. Lin did as Yang Shun said, and Bai Tuan leaned against the cushion. In an instant, he turned his head and buried it in him. Not only was his body trembling, but he also let out a frightened cry.

It was only then that Xie Sen discovered that Bai Tuan was actually a short-eared rabbit.

"This won't work," Mr. Lin said distressedly, "Is there no way to calm it down?"

"You can inject a sedative." Xiao Ke said from the side.

Yang Shun frowned slightly, and Mr. Lin said angrily: "What did you say? Injecting flu medicine is not a solution. It's already injured. Do you want it to suffer the rest?"

"No, don't worry, we won't use sedatives." Yang Shun said gently but firmly.

He turned on his personal bracelet: "Short-eared rabbit beast is sensitive and easily frightened. We have music specially made to relax it, but it will take some time."

As he spoke, his eyes swept to Xie Sen and he paused: "Xiao Sen, you try it."

Xie Sen was stunned by this name, and then he understood what Yang Shun meant. He walked up to Mr. Lin and said, "It's so cute. Can I touch it?"

Mr. Lin hesitated, and Yang Shun said, "He is our new employee and has a strong affinity for animals."

Seeing Mr. Lin nod, Xie Sen reached out and gently touched Xiao'er's back. He immediately felt Xiao'er's body trembling.

Xiao'er moved his body and arched it unconsciously, pressing his back closer to Xie Sen's palm. He also raised his head from his master's arms and rubbed it towards him.

"It stopped shaking!" Mr. Lin said in surprise after a while.

"Put it on the cushion together, and don't take your hands off its back." Yang Shun said.

The touch of Mr. Lin and Xie Sen gave Xiao'er a great sense of security. He lay on the cushion very softly. Yang Shun moved steadily and quickly. He treated the wound in a short while and injected influenza medicine.

"Okay, let it rest more now." Yang Shun said.

"Thank you so much," Mr. Lin looked at Xie Sen, "What's your name? I want to reserve you and hope you can become Xiao'er's exclusive caregiver."

Xie Sen was pleasantly surprised by the small words "Grateful Energy 1, Total 4" that appeared in front of him. After hearing what he said, he waved his hand and said, "I'm still in the internship period and still need to learn."

He felt excited. It seemed so easy to gain the gratitude energy of the female contracted beast!

He really likes this job. Not only can he make money, but he can also collect energy. He decides to put in the same effort as he did studying for the college entrance exam and quickly master the skills of a maintenance worker. He must stay!

Mr. Lin was surprised: "You are so good and you are still in the internship period?"

Xie Sen smiled awkwardly. His affinity was entirely due to the plant system and had nothing to do with him.

Yang Shun smiled and said, "All of our employees need to undergo a strict entry assessment. His name is Xie Sen, and he has no fixed position during his internship. If you trust him, you can reserve him in advance to assist you in the future when you take care of Xiao'er."

Mr. Lin looked at the rejuvenated Xiao Er and coughed lightly. "I was really angry before and said those words. You are really professional," he said with a smile. "I will definitely make a reservation in advance next time."

Xie Sen didn't expect that this sentence would become the most common phrase he heard in the nursing center.
