Amnesia (I)

"Let me see your knees." Ignoring Tan'er's protests, Jin Suting helped her sit down on the stone steps. Lifting the hem of her skirt, which covered her knees, revealed a bloody mess. Pulling her panties up, she saw the bruises of whip marks. The flesh was exposed from the inside out, dripping with blood, a horrific sight. It was obvious these weren't old injuries.

Jin Suting also rolled up the sleeves of her hands, and saw the same whip marks, even more serious than those on her legs.

Jin Suting thought of the injuries she had sustained when she fell off the cliff. The bright red she saw was just like her own appearance back then. She felt a pang of heartache.

"...Miss...Qin'er is fine." Qin'er's eyes were obviously red.

"How can you be fine after such a bad condition? I was wondering how you could fall down when you were climbing over the wall. Who hit you? Why didn't you tell me before?! Also, why didn't you treat the wound first? What if it gets infected?" Jin Suting was worried and more angry.

Tan Er didn't say a word.

"Forget it, let's go back to the house first. I'll call a doctor for you." No matter how angry Jin Suting was, he still had to take care of her injuries first.

Returning to her own villa, she had to pass through the front hall of the general's mansion. The hall was brightly lit; perhaps the old general was meeting some distinguished guest. She supported the injured Tan'er, minimizing her presence as much as possible. She walked through the long corridor in front of the hall.

"Sister~ It's so late, where are you going?"

A sickeningly sweet voice came from behind, and Jin Suting subconsciously turned around to see who it was.

Well... the heavily made-up girl in front of her is her third sister, Jin Xiyan.

"Of course I'm going back to the room~ After dinner, I took my son Qin to help digest the food. Now I have to go back, bye~" Among the thirty-six strategies, the best one is to escape first.

"Don't walk so fast, sister. I haven't finished speaking yet." Jin Xiyan grabbed Jin Suting and blocked her way.

"Hehehe...there's nothing much to talk about between us. Besides, my Qin'er is injured and needs to rest." Jin Suting slipped away again.

"This bitch isn't dead yet? She's so lucky." Jin Xiyan's words made Jin Suting stop abruptly.

"Did you do it?" Jin Suting turned around and glared at Jin Xiyan with a look that was enough to kill.

Jin Xiyan shuddered. "So what if it was me? This lowly slave had committed treason and knocked me unconscious!" Jin Xiyan was still unscrupulous. In the past, Jin Xiyan didn't care that much about this lowly slave. Besides, she was still the master after all, so she had nothing to fear.

"Jin Xiyan, fuck you! Are you a human being? Has your conscience been eaten by a dog? Didn't your mother teach you what it means to respect others? You beat someone up like this and you still have no intention of repenting? Do you know how painful it is to be whipped? My Qin'er is so innocent and kind. If you hadn't done anything out of line, would she have knocked you out? If you were in our place, we would have locked you up in the police station and kept you there for two to three years! You are committing a crime of intentional injury, do you understand?" Jin Suting scolded Jin Xiyan so hard that she was stunned.

"Miss..." Tan'er pulled Jin Suting's sleeve.

"Don't bother me, I'm mad at you!" Jin Ting's fighting spirit was off the charts when she started scolding people, and her aura was saying: Keep away, no one.

"The master is here." Tan'er reminded in a low voice.

"What are you arguing about so late at night?" the old general said in a voice as loud as a bell.

Someone who said "keep away from strangers" immediately became a good girl.

"Dad." Jin Suting and Jin Xiyan had a rare tacit understanding.

The old general's face turned stern, and he became angry. "I heard you guys making noise in the hall. The Ninth Prince is visiting so late at night, so we should treat him well. How can you make such a commotion like this?"

Only then did Jin Suting notice that there was a man in black clothes next to the old general. He had a stern face, a scar half a finger long on his brow, a faint smile on the corner of his mouth, and a noble royal aura around him.

Is this the Ninth Prince? The man that Yu Jingfeng said girls like them all like, Helan Yinsheng. He's so handsome! An abstinent male god!

But it seems that Alan is more handsome. Jin Suting thought, wait a minute, how can that annoying guy Alan compare to the Ninth Prince?

One is the Ninth Prince, a famous killer of young girls in Fu'ning, and the other is a stinky blind man who said she was too big.

Well... there's no comparison.

"It's okay. Every family has its own problems." The Ninth Prince had a knowing look on his face, indicating that he didn't care. He seemed to want to understand the full picture of the matter.

The old general clearly didn't want the Ninth Prince to stay any longer, and acted as if to send him away. "Your Highness, it's getting late, and the night dew is heavy. I will consider what we just discussed. Please return tonight."

Helan Yinsheng pursed his lips, ordered the guests to leave, and called the servant beside him: "Then I won't bother you anymore, General. Fugui, let's go."

"Your Highness, wait a moment!" A voice suddenly came from the crowd.

Helan Yinsheng paused and turned around to look for the source of the sound.

Hmm...this little girl has put on so much makeup.

"... Please, Your Highness, make the decision for my daughter!" Jin Xiyan thought for a moment and spoke.

She knew that after the prince left, her father would definitely hold her and Jin Suting accountable for their mistakes. However, considering how much her father doted on Jin Suting, she would definitely not be bothered.

She would have to accept punishment in the end anyway, so she might as well leave a pitiful impression on the prince, and maybe he would fall in love with her. When the time came, she would fly up to the tree and become a phoenix, and she would no longer be the concubine who had to live her life at the mercy of others.

"Oh, what do you mean?" When Jin Xiyan was daydreaming, Helan Yinsheng had already raised the question.

"It's my sister." Jin Xiyan pointed at Jin Suting, her voice soft and boneless. "Her servant knocked me unconscious, so I sent a servant to punish her a little, but...but who knew that my sister...she actually called me...a beast...Father will definitely not say anything because he favors my sister, but I feel wronged. Please, Your Highness, make the decision."
