Chapter 208

[I won't be updating these days, but I'll still post some random thoughts, like my understanding of the characters, character analysis. I'll be posting more slowly on these things, so please don't criticize me if you don't like them. Thanks again.]

Jin Suting's cell phone was left at Jin's house. She had no cash on her. She was very tired from crying and her eyes were telling her that she wanted to rest.

She walked back to Jingyuan Community. She had taken off her eight-centimeter high heels at some point and thrown them somewhere in the city.

The small stones on the newly built asphalt road in the community pricked her feet and hurt her eyes. She felt like crying.

The elevator dinged, indicating that the 23rd floor had been reached, and Jin Suting unlocked the door with her fingerprint.

She didn't want to turn on the light because the world was dark and it made no difference whether the light was on or not.

The bathtub was filled with water, and Jin Suting took off her hypocritical dress. It was actually very tight, making it hard for her to breathe, but she still had to put it on, because only by putting it on would she look good and look like a human being.

Just like her life, she had to wear a mask of hypocrisy to face Jing Ruizi, Jin Qunwei, and those who played a crucial role in her life.

She wanted to tell them that she was very happy. Even if she was slandered, framed, humiliated, abused, ignored, left out, and spit on, she would heal herself and even greet those she disliked with a smile.

I don’t know when she became so unrecognizable as herself, the kind of person she hated and despised the most.

Negative emotions are always kept to herself. Perhaps it was from the day she came to the Jin family at the age of five that her life was destined to be ignored.

Although she is sensible, optimistic, positive and optimistic.

For so many years, the people in his Jin family kept her in the dark like a fool.

But so what? She never lacked the courage to start over.

After taking a shower, Jin Suting remembered that Shi Shi was still drunk just now, so she picked up her landline and dialed her number. "The number you dialed cannot be connected at the moment..."

A cold female voice came from the phone. "Is he asleep?" Jin Suting called again, but still no one answered. Worried, she jumped up, grabbed her coat, and headed out. She remembered where Shi Shi often drank. It was only past one o'clock now, and she wasn't sure if she could get a taxi.

Jin Suting walked out of the community. It was past one o'clock and there were few vehicles on the quiet road at night. She stood at the traffic light intersection waiting for the red light to go out.

More than ten minutes later, Jin Suting luckily got a taxi.

The taxi stopped in front of a store called "Heidian". Jin Suting paid the fare, thanked the driver and got off.

"Heidian" is a bar where Shi Shi worked as a resident singer during her sophomore year. It was also here that she met her straight boyfriend. After graduation, she found other jobs and rarely performed there. However, Shi Shi still likes this place very much and comes here whenever she feels down.

Jin Suting walked quickly into the bar and saw Shi Shi in a dark corner.

She was drunk and dialing a number on her cell phone. Jin Suting walked closer to hear what she was saying.

But she noticed the man next to her. It was Shi Shi's boyfriend. It seemed he wasn't that bad after all, even looking for a girlfriend. Jin Suting didn't know him well, as he was incredibly shy. How could a girl as impulsive as Shi Shi be with such a quiet guy? Jin Suting couldn't understand.

"Jin Suting, why the hell didn't you answer my call???!" Shi Shi sat up and cursed, which scared her boyfriend. He quickly pulled her towards him for fear of scaring other guests.

Jin Suting walked over domineeringly. How could she answer the call when her phone was left at someone else's house? "Shi Zhu, hurry up and get up."

Shi Shi looked up and saw that it was her. She immediately smiled and laughed so hard that she fell over: "You're here~"

Jin Suting straightened her up and asked, "How much did you drink?" She glanced at the scattered bottles on the floor and asked, "You didn't drink a dozen, did you?"
