The person who saved her just now was gone. She tried desperately to remember what that person looked like. She remembered that she had clearly seen him before and felt familiar with him, but she had forgotten his appearance. The person who saved her was facing the backlight, so she couldn't see his face clearly.
She shouted the name of her savior in the deserted South Street, but no one answered, only an empty echo.
She suddenly opened her eyes, sat up, and saw a pair of broad shoulders.
My heart immediately relaxed. Hearing the noise, Alan woke up. He turned around and smiled at Jin Suting, "Did you have a nightmare? You're sweating so much."
Jin Suting nodded absentmindedly. She suddenly remembered the person who saved her last night. It was Alan.
He also said to her, "Don't worry, I'm here."
Ah Lan looked at her dazed look and smiled gently, "What do you want to eat? I'll buy it for you."
"Alan," Jin Suting interrupted him, answering the question irrelevantly, "Thank you for saving me last night."
"Aren't we good friends? Why are you saying thank you? It's so formal." Alan hit Jin Suting's shoulder.
"By the way, how did you get me last night? There were so many of them, but you were the only one." Jin Suting asked in confusion.
Ah Lan was proud and proud. "I called a group of brothers who grew up together. They are all good fighters. Those men in black should be on trial in the Dali Temple now!"
He didn't lie. The elite soldiers last night were indeed the ones who had trained with him since they were young.
"You guys are amazing." Jin Suting praised sincerely.
Then he looked around, seeing the antique furnishings, diagrams of the human body and illustrations of various medicinal herbs hanging on the walls, and asked, "Is this a medical clinic?"
"Yes, South Street Clinic." Alan nodded.
So, they stayed in the clinic all night? The old general and Tan'er must be going crazy with worry.
"Why don't you take me back to the general's mansion?" Jin Suting
"You fainted yesterday. I thought you had some terminal illness. You must come to the clinic for a check-up." Alan teased.
Jin Suting punched him on the shoulder and said, "You are the one with a terminal illness, are you cursing me?"
Ah Lan turned her head away proudly, "Just now you were saying thank you to me, and now you're bullying me!"
Then he rolled his eyes at Jin Suting and said, "Bullying!"
Jin Suting laughed, how could she become a bully?
Obviously, you only used a little force.
"Okay, I won't argue with you anymore. I have to go back to the general's mansion. This kind of thing happened during the Lantern Festival. My father must be very worried if he didn't see me." Jin Suting got out of bed, put on her shoes, and said to Alan.
Alan said, "Then I'll take you there."
Jin Suting smiled mischievously, "Then I'll trouble you, Master Lan~"
Ah Lan and Jin Suting left the clinic together. The proprietress, the doctor from last night, smiled widely upon seeing them. She looked curious and asked, "How was your sleep last night?"
Out of politeness, Jin Suting replied, "Very comfortable. Thank you, Madam Boss."
"Hey, the bed is pretty sturdy!" The proprietress glanced back and forth between the two of them.
Jin Suting was confused, "Yeah, it's very solid."
She did sleep very well last night. The bed was soft and firm.
When the proprietress heard her words, she doubled over with laughter. Ah Lan's face was also very embarrassed, indescribable, with a suspicious blush.
"You little girl, look at your husband..."
"Boss lady, we're leaving first. Thank you for your hospitality." Alan pulled Jin Suting and ran out, fearing that she would hear what the boss lady was going to say next.
Jin Suting was dragged out of the door and asked Alan in confusion, "What did the boss lady just say? What husband? Where does my husband come from?"
"You heard it wrong, you heard it wrong." Alan hurriedly explained.
If Jin Suting knew that he lied to the boss lady and said they were husband and wife, she would chop him to pieces.
"Oh." Jin Suting's ears haven't been working very well lately, so she might have really heard it wrong.
It was a long way from South Street to West Street, so Alan rented a carriage.
In the carriage, Jin Suting spoke very little, and Alan also did not speak. The two of them just stayed there quietly.
Jin Suting blushed and her heart beat fast for no apparent reason as she looked at the handsome young man in white clothes, with beautiful eyebrows and eyes, and long black hair.
The ancient costume male gods I saw before didn’t seem to have such an extraordinary temperament as Alan.
There has always been a voice in my heart saying: He saved you, he saved your life, this man in front of you who looks like a banished immortal, he is your savior.
Jin Suting was so engrossed in watching Alan that she didn't even notice they had arrived at the general's residence.
Alan waved his hands in front of her, "We're here at the General's Mansion."
She came back to her senses and said, "Oh, okay."
Alan jumped off the carriage first, and then helped Jin Suting down.
The two hands were folded together, and even through the clothes, they could feel the heat of each other's body temperature.
"Go in quickly and walk slowly." Alan advised.
Jin Suting blushed a little because of the physical contact just now. She lowered her head and walked back to the general's mansion obediently.
The guards were so happy to see Jin Suting back that it was like New Year's Eve. One of them immediately went to announce, "The young lady is back! The young lady is back!"
The news spread throughout the general's mansion like a gust of wind.
Mrs. Lu, who was pretending to cry in the front hall, was stunned. The old general, who was originally in tears, immediately turned his worried face into a smile.
"Where is Su'er?" The old general walked out of the front hall with trembling steps.
When Jin Suting saw the old general, she felt his old age for the first time.
It was as if his hair turned white overnight. My father used to be full of vigor and walked with a steady step.
The hunchbacked old man in front of him had red eyes and a hollow look, but the moment he saw Jin Suting again, he seemed to be full of hope again.
