Helan Ruizhe immediately said, "Okay."
He really wanted to try what those delicious dim sum that Jin Suting mentioned were.
But he immediately added: "But it's not that I don't believe you, I just want to try it."
Jin Suting was amused by him: "Then you'll have to wait and see."
"I'll do it for you right now!"
Not sure if the sudden emphasis was a bit of arrogance or something else, but Jin Suting brought Helan Ruizhe to the small kitchen in Suxuanyuan.
That was the time when the old general was in a coma. They had no kitchen to use, so they temporarily found a room and converted it.
The room is small but well equipped.
Jin Suting opened the door and looked at the small table in the middle that was filled with ingredients. She felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction in her heart.
“Here, this is my little kitchen.”
Jin Suting pointed to Helan Ruizhe's small kitchen, which was simple and convenient, with a stove and a large square table. The face under the mask raised an eyebrow, "Not bad."
"Help me," Jin Suting said, "I'll show you what a chef is in a moment!"
He had never helped anyone or been in the kitchen before, so this was his first time.
"good."
Helan Ruizhe agreed readily.
Jin Suting boiled water, poured in the fresh red beans she had just bought today, cooked them until they were soft, and set aside to make the red bean filling.
She was very skilled at making fire and basically didn't produce too much smoke. Helan Ruizhe, on the other hand, was looking around like a curious baby.
"What is this?"
He asked, pointing to the fire hammer.
Jin Suting picked up the fire stick, poked it into the stove twice, and replied, "It's for making fire."
Helan Ruizhe understood and stretched out his claws to the ingredients on the table.
The black ceramic jar filled with milk caught his attention. He first leaned in to smell it and smelled an unknown scent, with a faint milky aroma.
He glanced at Jin Suting who was busy increasing the fire, and pointed at the milk in the ceramic pot with his index finger.
I put it in my mouth and tasted it carefully. It was sweet.
He nodded with satisfaction and found flour in the sack. After Jin Suting lit the fire and covered the pot, he saw a curious baby gathered around the table.
She walked over and introduced all the ingredients, "This is flour, that is sesame, and sugar, and this, eggs, milk."
Helan Ruizhe understood it clearly, but still couldn't guess what she was going to do.
"Yeah," Helan Ruizhe nodded, "the water is boiling."
He pointed behind Jin Suting, and the pot of boiling water began to make some crackling sounds.
Jin Suting glanced back, held her forehead, and said, "Not that fast. It's the fire that's making the sizzling sound. The pot must be burning."
Helan Ruizhe: "So that's how it is."
It seems that he really has no common sense or experience in cooking.
Jin Suting said, "By the way, why isn't Yuan Jing with you? I see he usually protects you very closely."
Helan Ruizhe said: "He has other things to do."
Jin Suting nodded and had nothing to say. The atmosphere became awkward for a while.
Helan Ruizhe said: "This is my first time in the kitchen."
Jin Suting was surprised: "First time? Really?"
But come to think of it, how could His Royal Highness the Crown Prince possibly enter the kitchen? Those chores are done by the servants.
Once again, she felt discriminated against...
Helan Ruizhe said: "It's true. When I was a kid, I wanted to go in but my grandma chased me out."
