Eight (Six)

But she didn't expect Si Shuo to come so soon.

As it got dark, Jin Suting left the courtyard.

The medicine Yu Qinglan gave her was indeed the antidote. She walked to the end of the bamboo path and after clearing away the dry grass, she found an exit the size of a dog hole.

Jin Suting is thin and can easily crawl out.

She looked at the wall and found it was not very high. Yu Qinglan might not have known that she knew some martial arts, so he specially chose a dog hole.

Jin Suting didn't want to make too much noise, so she decided to crawl out.

After coming out, there is a quiet alley.

Fortunately, she didn't climb over the wall just now. Outside the wall were large water vats, with one less than a foot away. There was no water in the large vats, but sharp knives pointing upwards.

If she jumped down, she would die instantly.

To avoid recognition, Jin Suting covered her face with a veil and emerged from an alley not far from the city gate. She tried to be discreet. The streets were sparsely populated, as no one dared to come out to do business to avoid the war. Patrolling soldiers dominated, and Jin Suting hid and dodged until she reached the location Yu Qinglan had mentioned.

Jin Suting only saw one woman in black clothes and a white flower. She was tending a breakfast shop, and as soon as Jin Suting approached, she knew she was the one she was supposed to meet.

She told Jin Suting to hide in the vat and take her out later. The battle hadn't started yet, and although guards were needed, the Simu Kingdom had many reinforcements, and most of the soldiers had been transferred to the main gate on the other side. The guards here were not as strict, and even one or two people could come in and out.

Jin Suting did as she was told. The woman placed another layer of bamboo insulation on top of her head and poured a pile of something on top. Jin Suting only smelled a foul odor.

It's a bit suffocating.

She and three other large vats were carried out of the city. At the city gate, the woman in black stuffed two pieces of gold into the guards' pockets and said kindly, "My pigs are kept outside the city. I haven't fed them for three days. If I don't go, they'll starve to death. Please be kind and let me out."

She flattered the guards by specifically raising their values, saying they were all money-grubbers. The guard smacked his lips and asked, "Are these all for pig farming?"

The woman in black said, "The truth is, they are all swill adults."

The guard then opened the four jars and took a look, then told the woman in black to cover them up and leave quickly with disgust.

The woman in black nodded and bowed several times to express her gratitude before carrying Jin Suting away.

I don’t know how long they drove, but the car stopped when Jin Suting felt like she was about to die from the stench.

When she came out, she found that this was not the tent where Helan Ruizhe was stationed.

"Where is this?"

The woman in black completely lost her simple and honest look. She pulled out a knife from behind her back and said, "I'll send you to your death!"

Jin Suting was completely unprepared and was almost hurt by her. Fortunately, she reacted quickly and broke free from the black-clad woman in a few moves and ran forward.

She knew that Yu Qinglan was not that kind and wanted to trick her out and kill her.

She had a bad sense of direction since she was a child, but she was lucky. As she ran, she saw the tent where Helan Ruizhe was stationed.

"I'm going home! Hehe!"

If Yu Qinglan had killed her in the city, she wouldn't have survived to get here. She had to thank Yu Qinglan for underestimating her martial arts and... her luck.
