"You are me, and I am you. We are not anyone, we are all me."

Is it strange...

***

"No." Mom said gently, "You saw someone strange again."

"Dad didn't see it either." The man was very tall, and he smiled in a very honest way.

But the little girl still waved to Jin Suting and smiled at her before being taken away by her parents, "Goodbye, big sister."

Jin Suting followed subconsciously. She was a little embarrassed that the little girl could see her, but she really wanted to know how this person who looked exactly like her when she was a child was doing.

The little girl followed her parents into an old building that looked quite old.

Their house was on the fifth floor, and Jin Suting followed them up to the fifth floor.

The structure of the house is very simple, with two bedrooms and a living room.

The furnishings were also very simple. Judging from the outstanding teacher awards hanging on the wall, Jin Suting judged that her parents were both teachers.

The little girl obediently poured a glass of water for Jin Suting. Her behavior looked very strange to her parents. "Sister, do you want some water?"

Jin Suting just stood at the door and didn't go in. She shook her head and said she was not thirsty.

Then the little girl started playing with the Barbie princess she had just bought from the toy store. In the kitchen, the couple was busy as the sun slowly set. For some reason, Jin Suting's eyes were a little moist.

She waved to the little girl, and she ran over like a little swallow.

"Sister wants to ask you a question."

The little girl opened her eyes wide with curiosity: "Sister, tell me."

"May I have your name?"

"My name is Jin Suting."

"What's your sister's name?"

The world seemed to collapse. Jin Suting thought that this dream was too real. Why couldn't she wake up?

"Tingting, it's time to eat!"

The little girl responded crisply, "Sister, I won't talk to you anymore. Mom is calling me to eat."

Jin Suting took a breath, looked at the closed door, and sat on the stairs in the dim light in the corridor.

All the feelings were so real, but why did everyone except the little girl act as if they didn't see her?

Strangely enough, she could feel that she had returned to the present day.

It seemed like something was different, like a place in her memory. Her sight fell on the mottled and old walls of the corridor. It had been in disrepair for so long that she could no longer tell what color it was originally.

“Squeak—”

The little girl pushed open the security door with her book and saw Jin Suting sitting in the corridor.

Then he carefully closed the iron door and asked, "Sister, are you not leaving yet?"

Jin Suting was startled by her and shifted her gaze from the old circuit box. "Well, I'm not very familiar with this place."

Seeing that she was holding a book and looked like a child of about ten years old, he guessed, "Are you going out to do your homework?"

The little girl nodded with blushing cheeks, "Yes, I'm going downstairs to do homework with brother Ruirui."

Jin Suting made way for her and said, "Well, go ahead."

"Sister," the little girl said but did not leave, "you are different from the people I have met."

"Ah?" Jin Suting didn't understand what she meant.

The little girl said, "Some of them are very old, some are very young, and some are still children. But none of them are wearing such beautiful and special dresses."

Jin Suting looked down at what she was wearing. It was a heavy red wedding dress with lifelike hand-embroidered phoenixes and gold-trimmed sleeves and hem. It was indeed beautiful.

"You have good taste."

"By the way, is this the 21st century?"

She was sure that this was Wind City, but it seemed different from what she remembered.

The little girl nodded. She had just checked the calendar. "Today is September 30th, 2006. It's already my fourth week of school."

Jin Suting suddenly realized that the only possible explanation was that she had returned to the past of the modern era.

"Susu! Come down and do your homework!"

Jin Suting was frightened by the voice before she could come to her senses. If she wasn't so naive, she would have thought it was the person she was thinking of.

The little girl jumped a few steps and said, "Sister, Brother Ruirui is calling me. I'm going down first!"

Jin Suting nodded blankly, she hadn't come back to her senses yet.

The little girl skipped down the stairs happily, and her books and pencil case made crisp sounds when they collided.

Jin Suting heard the sound of the security door closing, and after a while it opened again. The little girl came up with a small box of cut peaches.

She handed it to Jin Suting, "Sister, this is for you."

Jin Suting took it. It had a strong peach flavor, which seemed out of place in this cramped corridor.

"Tingting, you..." It was the first time she called him that, and she felt a little uncomfortable. After thinking about it, she decided to call him that. "Tingting, you like Ruirui, right?"

When asked this by the beautiful older sister whom I met for the first time, I lowered my head shyly, pinching the edge of my clothes with my little fingers, but I still admitted generously, "Yes, Brother Ruirui is the best looking."

But after saying that, she was still very shy, "Sister, do you have someone you like too?"

Jin Suting put the fresh peach into her mouth and sighed, "Yes..."

***

Jin Suting fell asleep leaning against the mottled wall of the corridor that night, but when she woke up, she saw a completely different scene.

The cramped corridor became spacious and bright, even the handrails were no longer covered with dust, the stairs were decorated with marble, and the mottled walls turned snow-white and were covered with tiles.

The shaking light above her head became voice-controlled, and before she could react, the elevator door behind her opened with a "ding".
