Imperial Palace Wedding

Why did you leave the peaceful life of a young lady in Funing City and run to this war-torn place? Who can you turn to for justice if you lose your life accidentally?

Jin Suting realized the seriousness of the problem and asked seriously, "How long have we been out?"

Tan Er answered honestly, "More than two months."

"What?!" Jin Suting was shocked.

"It takes a month to travel from Funing to Xi'an by carriage. When we arrived, the general was about to rush to the desert to suppress bandits. We have been waiting for the general here for more than a month." Tan'er said truthfully.

It was really troublesome in ancient times without airplanes. And why didn’t her father, the general, know to send her back?

But then again, with the original owner's stubborn and domineering personality, there was no way she would just go back. But the way she fell off the cliff was too bizarre. No matter how stupid she was, she wouldn't have jumped off the cliff.

So Jin Suting asked again: "Then how did I fall off the cliff?"

Qin Er frowned. "Miss, this is unknown to me. I've been held captive by the General since arriving in the Northwest. It was only after you disappeared that Commander Zhan released me to search for you."

Jin Suting nodded, but couldn't get any clearer. It was getting late, and even if she asked too many questions today, even Tan'er, no matter how loyal she was, would become suspicious. She could only find out more later.

The most urgent thing now was to leave this war-torn northwest region; she didn't want to die as cannon fodder again. However, she had to tell her general father before returning to Funing. After all, he was her only relative in this unfamiliar Fuding Kingdom. And if she didn't see her father first, wouldn't it be obvious if she admitted her mistake?

Jin Suting let Tan Er go out first and went to find Zhan Shaoang. After learning that the old general's men had reported victory and were already rushing back to the camp, she finally felt relieved and went back to sleep.

Late at night, Jin Suting tossed and turned in her bed. Had she traveled through time? Or rather, had she been reborn, and in the kingdom of Fuding, a place not even mentioned in history.

Jin Suting sighed deeply. Her current status was no ordinary one. First, she was the legitimate daughter of a general, but her biological mother was no longer alive. She had a string of younger brothers and sisters, and she was from an unknown dynasty. She couldn't do business, and the only skills she had were the two moves of women's self-defense she learned in college.

This is completely different from those time-travel novels of the 21st century. Aren't there a bunch of brothers and sisters who pamper me, the little sister who traveled through time?

Fortunately, she was just the eldest daughter of a general's mansion, not a concubine in the harem or a vengeful person with a deep vengeance. As long as she didn't enter the palace to fight against those scheming women, she thought that with her intelligence, wit and talent, she could still survive here. At least, it wouldn't be worse than the modern world.

Then let’s start a new life, Jin Suting fell asleep with a smile on her face.

The next morning, Jin Suting slept until noon. Perhaps she was too tired the previous day, and she wasn't used to staying in bed. She was thinking about getting up quickly, thinking her general father might have returned, but her body honestly curled up in the quilt.

"Miss, it's time to wash up." Qin'er walked in with a basin of warm water and lifted the curtain of the tent.

Jin Suting squirmed in the quilt. The underwear in ancient times was too uncomfortable. It was just a piece of cloth, and it was wrapped tightly. If she had known this, she would not have been lazy and took off her underwear yesterday.

After struggling for a while, Jin Suting got up reluctantly.

After washing up, Jin Suting happily ate breakfast when she heard someone outside shouting in the tent: "The general is back! The general is back!"

Jin Suting stood up quickly, finally coming back. She clapped her hands and was about to leave when she saw Zhan Shaoang walk in, reporting with a happy face: "Miss, the general is back."

Jin Suting nodded perfunctorily: "I just heard them shouting."

"Then you..." Zhan Shaoang seemed to be concerned that Jin Suting and the old general were still in an awkward cold war relationship at that time, and stopped talking halfway.

"Okay, I'm not that kind of sensible person. Let's go out together to welcome my dad." Jin Suting walked out of the tent first.

Zhan Shaoang scratched his head. "Miss, have you ever been sensible?" Hehehe...

When Jin Suting left the tent, she happened to see the old general heading towards the main tent. He was nearly fifty, but his face had few visible wrinkles, only the vicissitudes of life on the battlefield. Presumably, when he was younger, the general, like on horseback, must have charmed many women.

Jin Suting's tent was right next to the main tent, so she walked over quickly, her lips as sweet as honey: "Congratulations, Daddy, on your great victory! Welcome back to the tent, Daddy, you've worked hard~" After she finished speaking, she gave him a super sweet smile, which melted the heart of the old general on the horse. He no longer had the anger he had when he learned that she had escaped from Funing City.

Zhan Shaoang and Qin Er were stunned in the background. Had the young lady completely changed her ways? They swore that just yesterday morning, she had been clamoring to sever ties with the general.

The old general dismounted and rubbed Jin Suting's head lovingly, then asked deliberately in a serious tone, "Are you done making trouble?"

Jin Suting shook her head like a rattle: "Don't make a fuss, don't make a fuss. Daddy must have been tired from the journey, let's go back to the tent~"

The old general laughed heartily: "There's really nothing we can do about you!"

Then the old general returned to the tent with his precious daughter in high spirits.

Everyone's jaw dropped again. Is this... the end?

Didn't the battles always last over three hundred rounds? And the young lady unilaterally provoked the general without even asking him to step down. It's over, it's over. The young lady fell and was stunned. And, General, are you not going to investigate the young lady's playful fall off the cliff? Are you not going to investigate the young lady's escape from Funing City? General, you're so easy to please...
