Chapter 199 [Extra] Diverse Travel 7 [Extra]

Megan got the new gift and ran to find Arthur, showing off all the way. When she got in front of Arthur, she hid the gift behind her back and asked, "Guess what I have in my hand?"

Look at her, so excited and happy. What could she possibly gain? Nothing more than some special gifts.

Arthur and Bruce were both sitting in the living room of the manor. Even though the Gotham tycoon had a lot of things on his schedule, when the clown from another world came here, he had to make some choices and prioritize. He was actually staying here to guard the clown. Similar situations in the past were troublesome, but this clown had a child with him, so he seemed not to be dangerous. But he still couldn't let his guard down unless they all returned to their own universe.

He watched the little girl with black hair and green eyes running down from upstairs, holding something thin in her hand. He knew that Alfred had not prepared such a gift, so it must be the Red Hood. He had left the Batcave last night and, according to the vague traces revealed, rushed to the address of the West family mentioned in the information about 'Megan West'.

Because of this special destination, it was clear what he was going to do.

The Red Hood has a murderous feud with the Joker in this world, but he is not the one who will hurt the weak. Just because of Megan's innocence and the kindness she expressed, he wants to give something back to her, which is in line with the Red Hood's character.

Arthur played along, acting exaggeratedly. "Oh my god, you look so happy! How could I have guessed that?" But then he lowered his brows and touched her hair. "Then let me see the gift you got, okay?"

Megan carefully handed him the restored photo behind her, not afraid that such a precious gift would be damaged. She and Arthur looked at it head to head, pointing at the people and things in the photo with her hands, "This is Mom, this is 'me', and this is the teddy bear." There was a bright and moist light in her eyes, but there was no regret or sadness anymore.

Then she stuck close to Arthur, as if she had drawn energy from him again. She quickly regained her spirits and ran to Bruce. While showing the photo to the somewhat unfamiliar Bruce, she said, "The Jason in this world is good. He has grown into a great adult."

Red Hood came down from upstairs and heard this. Megan might have said this to Bruce, or she might have just said it on her own. Bruce responded with, "Yes, Jason is fine."

The current scene is full of comedy and irony due to the presence of the clown, but beneath this farce lies an extremely tragic past. A child was brutally murdered, but he stubbornly returned from the grave six feet below, crossing the abyss between life and death. His consciousness revived in the Lazarus Pool, and his broken soul was filled with chaos and madness, but he still came back.

Bruce's gaze shifted from the photo to Megan, and finally to Red Hood, saying seriously and firmly, "He's a child I'm proud of. He's an outstanding warrior who can already surpass me."

Megan nodded in agreement.

Red Hood didn't expect that he had just watched the family drama of the Joker from Another World last night, and today it was his turn. After pulling the corners of his mouth, he found that he was in a good mood, but he didn't show any extra emotions. He walked calmly through the living room and waved in front of the door, "Let's go." No matter how much the old man talked, no matter how friendly he was to Megan, he would never sit at the same dining table with the Joker.

By the afternoon, the vigilantes still outside Wayne Manor could no longer hold the current Robin in check. He saw through their crude lies and tricks, fought with each of them, and finally broke free, climbed out of the reverse-sealed safe house, and rode his Robin motorcycle back to Wayne Manor.

He looked aggressive on the surface, but whether he was actually angry or felt betrayed and distrusted, only he knew. When he met Alfu as he entered the room, Damian said, "You betrayed me, but it doesn't matter, Alfu. Like your father, I regard you as a solid and reliable supporter. You have too many considerations."

“It would be great if it could be corrected, but it’s okay if it can’t be corrected.”

Damian walked around Alfred and met Red Hood on the way up the stairs. He first looked his brother up and down. They always had a tit-for-tat relationship when they met. Now that he had just made a gesture, Red Hood knew that he would not be able to say anything good.

The short but arrogant Robin crossed his arms and said with a subtle expression, "How do you have the courage to link your conversation with the little girl to the Batcave?" Because he was tied up by Red Robin, when Red Robin invaded the Batcave, he vaguely heard some meaningless words through the eavesdropping device. Even though Red Robin was taking notes there, he obviously had no interest in this area.

At first, he had some difficulty understanding the conversation, until the troublemaker confidently commented, "I'm sure Jason will be in trouble."

What would go wrong? Where? Would the Joker have set up Todd, just like in this world, and then let him die? With Megan Damon as the go-between, and the vigilantes there still unaware of her true origins, wouldn't it be much easier to target the Wayne family?

As he secretly struggled to free himself from the ropes, he heard the troublemaker sigh inexplicably. She said, "You said that world, when Batman's son and the Joker's daughter are together..."

He understood, he understood everything!

Damian: "I know you definitely like her. We are childhood sweethearts. I didn't expect you to be so innocent and actually found... the Joker's daughter." He couldn't help but frowned as he said that. Of course, it was not directed at Todd, but at the Joker.

Even though it was known that the Jason in that universe was still young and the two children had only pure friendship, if there were any signs, he felt that the Joker, the father, would be the first to react, and that Jason would definitely die more miserably than the one in front of him. However, this bizarre incident was no less bizarre than the crime syndicate they encountered, and in any case, it shocked Damian.

As he spoke, he kept looking up at Red Hood's reaction. Sure enough, he noticed something and said thoughtfully, "So you noticed it too? What do you think about it?"

Damian was always straightforward, even if there was a barrel of explosives in front of him, he would still try to light it. He was ready to fight with the Red Hood, but the other party just said, "None of your business, demon cub."

The Red Hood moved neatly and quickly as he walked past, leaving Damian slightly puzzled, but Bruce was upstairs, so he went straight upstairs, and the moment he saw the clown from another world, he rushed over bravely and swiftly, even though the other party was disguised as a normal person, the disgusting aura on him could not be concealed.

Damian just wanted to fight with him, because he knew that Bruce would definitely stop him, so he chose to strike first. He acted decisively, and when he rushed in front of Arthur, he swung his fist but missed. He turned his head to look at the deeper smile on Arthur's face without changing his expression, and while retracting his hand, he swung the barb on his arm armor at him.

He really wanted to defeat the Joker to prove something, but Bruce pulled him away, and while he was still trying to move, a furry head popped out from the balcony.

Megan leaned on the windowsill and looked around, "Dad, I heard a strange sound?" She was a soft child who seemed to have never experienced any harm. Her cheeks were fair, the corners of her eyes were slightly drooping, and her emerald green eyes were incredibly clear.

When she looked away from Arthur, she immediately saw a little boy dressed as Robin. Even though his clothes were a little different, he was still easy to recognize. She exclaimed in amazement, "Wow, it's Robin!"

But the current scene is that this Robin is about to beat her dad.

Damian seemed to understand why Red Hood ran into the Joker from another world, but except for the first attack, he never fought with him afterwards. Even if he wanted to target the Joker, it was not easy to do so under the shining gaze of his daughter.

He spun lightly and landed from Bruce's hands, his cape swaying behind him as he moved. Megan ran in from the balcony, and the closer she got, the more she could see her love for the role of 'Robin' and how much she longed for it. Even Damian's sour face and unhappy look did not scare her away.

As for Megan, when they first came to this universe, she asked Robin if he had many roles. At that time, Arthur said he didn't know, and Red Hood didn't answer. Now that she saw another Robin, she became curious about this question again.

Megan's eyes swept over Bruce. Since the current Robin was here, she asked him, "Hello, Robin, I'm Megan! Can I ask your name, and which Robin you are?"

Being a little reserved, she stood with her hands behind her back. If she didn't respond, her fingers might become tangled into a ball of thread.

Damian pursed his lips. She seemed polite, and he knew she was a crybaby. Making a little girl cry on purpose was definitely not something Robin would do. He was just giving her a face; it had nothing to do with the Joker. But before answering, he couldn't help but glance at Bruce. He really wanted to ask, "Is this girl really the Joker's daughter?" They looked nothing alike.

Bruce looked back at him with affirmation, and Damian hummed softly, but everyone knew that he was not talking to Megan, because the next second he loosely held Megan's wrist and took her to play somewhere else, at least not where there were clowns.

This Robin boy was quite strong, but he also paid attention to the strength. Arthur watched the familiar scene unfold before him again, just like in their original world -

That Robin kid plays with Megan in the same way! But she just likes Robin, alas.

Damian took her to the garden downstairs. The plants were lush and green all around, but the overall environment was open. People upstairs could easily see what was happening downstairs, thus avoiding many misunderstandings.

Only when he got here did he let go of Megan's hand. Even though he was slightly shorter than Megan, his aura was strong enough, and he looked cold and hard and not someone who was easy to mess with. He threw back the hood that was half on his head, and took off the domino mask on his face, revealing a face that looked similar to Bruce's, but childish and a little chubby.

He had a pair of pure green eyes that seemed to indicate a bad temper, but there was no deeper meaning in them, no scrutiny, no disgust or impatience. "Ask me that question again."

Megan repeated it, and he stood up straight and replied, "Then you'd better remember my name, Damian Wayne. I am Batman's fifth partner, Robin."

Now that they've introduced themselves, they should at least have something to do, right? Otherwise, it would be too awkward. As for abandoning this little guest to do his own thing, Damian had no plans to do that.

At this time, Alfred came over. He wanted to loosen the soil and apply fertilizer to the plants in the garden. The old housekeeper seemed to have anticipated this and brought three different tools with him. He was responsible for gently hoeing the soil next to the roots of the plants, while the work of fertilizing and covering was given to Damian and Megan respectively.

The three of them gathered together and divided the work slowly, but Damian couldn't stand the old butler's slow pace, so he took the hoe and worked quickly while Megan talked to Alfred.

"I also grew flowers," Megan said. "When I was in Arkham, Pammy had a big greenhouse, and she gave me a small pot of green plants and said it was mine."

Damian's movements slowed down when he heard her talk about the situation in Arkham Asylum. He turned around and asked, "You have a lot of friends in Arkham? Who are they?"

Who wouldn't be interested in the life of a little girl in Arkham, especially wondering how she survives there?

The author has something to say:

Suddenly I realized that Megan is attacking Robin?

I thought this extra chapter would be finished soon, but I found out there are still some small plots (contemplating)
