Chapter 114 Fleeing in Disarray

Chapter 114 Fleeing in Disarray

Golden Mandarin Duck Alliance

Lan'er sat on a swing, swinging back and forth, holding a sketchbook in her hand, with plenty of food and toys around her. The swing was built for her by the Golden Mandarin Duck Alliance, and the sketchbook was also found by them.

As for why they did all this? The members of the Golden Mandarin Duck Alliance explained: "It's not easy to find someone our leader likes. Now that our leader is in seclusion, we definitely have to help take good care of our future wife. Otherwise, what if she gets too bored and runs away? So we're trying our best to get Lan'er things to play with and eat."

Lan'er went from being uneasy at the beginning to gradually adapting now, and occasionally she would chat with the people from the Golden Mandarin Duck Alliance.

That day, Di Feisheng finally broke through his cultivation level, and as soon as he came out of seclusion, he thought of going to see Lan'er.

As I was walking, I suddenly noticed a group of people gathered there.

He looked around at the crowd and spotted Lan'er. She was surrounded by a group of people, with all sorts of food and toys laid out around her.

"Miss Lan'er, this tastes wonderful, you must try it!" Someone enthusiastically handed over a delicate pastry.

"Don't listen to him, this is the real delicacy!" another person quickly retorted, pushing the snack in their hand in front of Lan'er.

"And this one too, it's pretty good!" another person shouted, not to be outdone, holding up a cute little doll.

Di Feisheng stared coldly at them, his body radiating a chilling aura as he fixed his gaze on the Golden Mandarin Duck Alliance members.

The people gathered there suddenly felt a chill run down their spines, and had a bad feeling. Just then, someone noticed Di Feisheng standing outside and quickly clasped his hands and shouted, "Alliance Leader!"

Everyone clasped their hands in unison and greeted the leader with a shout.

Lan'er, who was in the middle, suddenly felt a little lost. Apart from seeing Di Feisheng on the first day, she had not seen him again and knew that he was in seclusion. His sudden appearance made Lan'er feel nervous. She subconsciously straightened up and was still clutching her sleeve.

Di Feisheng strode up to her, his gaze sweeping over her before turning to the Golden Mandarin Duck Alliance members. His voice was icy: "What are you all doing here?" The crowd trembled with fear. One of them mustered his courage and said, "Alliance Leader, we saw that Miss Lan'er was bored, so we thought we'd cheer her up."

Di Feisheng snorted coldly, "All of you, step back." The crowd, as if granted a pardon, quickly scattered and ran away. Di Feisheng looked at Lan'er, his tone softening slightly, "Are you getting used to it?" (Members of the Golden Mandarin Duck Alliance: The Alliance Leader shouldn't be so hypocritical.)

Lan'er nodded and said softly, "Thank you for your concern. Everyone is very kind to me."

Seeing her nervousness, Di Feisheng felt a little uncomfortable. Wasn't she just chatting happily with that group of people? Now she's so nervous in front of him. He said somewhat displeasedly, "Am I that scary?"

Lan'er quickly shook her head, "No...no." She said that, but her expression looked like she was about to cry.

Di Feisheng's expression froze instantly. He subconsciously touched her head, but when he realized what he was doing, he froze completely.

Lan'er was also confused by his sudden action. He... he was touching her head??

Di Feisheng quickly withdrew his hand, rubbing it behind his back. For a moment, the atmosphere became awkward. Lan'er lowered her head, her cheeks flushed, and her heart raced involuntarily. Di Feisheng did the same; he feigned composure and coughed lightly, but his gaze unconsciously fell on Lan'er again.

“If you like those foods and trinkets, I’ll have someone find you some more,” Di Feisheng said, his voice slightly unnatural. Lan’er raised her head slightly and said softly, “Thank you.”

Seeing that she was no longer so nervous, Di Feisheng felt inexplicably relieved. He hesitated for a moment, then said, "If you need anything in the future, just tell me." Lan'er nodded gently, the corners of her mouth unconsciously turning up.

Just then, a gentle breeze blew by, ruffling Lan'er's hair. Di Feisheng stared at her lively appearance, somewhat lost in thought. Lan'er noticed his gaze and touched her hair in confusion.

Di Feisheng snapped out of his daze upon seeing her actions, then said, "I have something to take care of first." Without waiting for Lan'er's reply, he turned and left. But his retreating figure looked more like he was fleeing in panic.
