Chapter 155 Little Lotus Seed Travels to the Original Drama 4
Upon arriving at Puchu Mountain, Xiao Lianzi scanned the area with her divine sense and spotted a group of people heading in their direction. "Father, a group of people are coming this way. Let me take you inside. There are traps inside; taking you in directly will be faster and won't damage them." Before Li Lianhua could react, Xiao Lianzi grabbed his hand and, in a flash, they were inside.
Li Lianhua snapped out of his daze and found himself standing in front of the two coffins. He swallowed hard and... just like that, he entered. He glanced furtively at Xiao Lianzi and, seeing her shadow on the ground, breathed a sigh of relief. Then, turning his attention to the coffins, he pushed open the lid and, upon discovering the lifelike female corpse inside, took a step back.
“Father, don’t be afraid, this is the ancestor.” Little Lianzi also stepped forward. Although he was too short to see, he had seen the corpse inside. His father had picked him up to see it, so he comforted Li Lianhua by tugging at her sleeve.
Li Lianhua was only startled for a moment, not really scared. Hearing Xiao Lianzi's comforting words, she smiled, then squatted down and picked him up.
Xiao Lianzi suddenly remembered that her father had originally come to Yipin Tomb, but at that time her father did not know that this was the ancestral tomb. So there must be something he wanted to do by coming here every day. Thinking of this, she asked, "Father, what was the purpose of your coming here in the first place?"
Li Lianhua thought for a moment and decided to tell the truth. After spending so many days together, he found that although Xiao Lianzi was young, he was very smart and understood many things. So he said, "Guanyin sheds tears."
The little lotus seed with tears in its eyes had been mentioned by its father, but it was useless to them. Although it didn't know what its father wanted to do with it, it still said, "It's in the mouth of the ancestor."
Hearing this, Li Lianhua hesitated for a few seconds, then put down the little lotus seed, bowed to the coffin, and muttered, "Grand Ancestor, please don't be offended. I am your great-grandson, Li Lianhua. You can use Guanyin's Tears now that it's yours, since you have no use for it, right? If you don't answer, I'll take that as a yes." With that, he got up and took out Guanyin's Tears. (Xuanfei: If I had answered, I'd scare you to death.)
Little Lotus: His father is so filial.
"Father, that group of people is almost here. Let's hurry out and set up a protective formation here so that outsiders won't disturb the ancestors," Little Lotus said quickly, sensing that the group was approaching.
"good."
After they finished setting up the formation, they quickly found a place to hide.
Just then, a group of people walked over, and among them was a little boy with a cold face.
They looked around after they arrived, but found nothing. One of them said, "Strange, isn't this the place? Why is there nothing here?"
"Let's look around some more, maybe there's some kind of organization or something."
Everyone agreed that this made sense and began searching around again. Little Lotus, hiding in the shadows, pouted and whispered to Li Lianhua, "Father, they won't find it. The formation I set up is very powerful." Li Lianhua patted his head, signaling him to be quiet.
After searching around without finding anything, the group reluctantly gave up and left, leaving only the child standing there. He looked up in Li Lianhua's direction and coldly said, "Who is it? Show yourself!"
Li Lianhua and Xiao Lianzi came out. The child looked surprised for a moment. He looked at Li Lianhua, then at Xiao Lianzi, and suddenly said, "Li Xiangyi, I knew you weren't dead." He paused for a moment after saying this, then continued, "This is your son." Although he was asking a question, his tone was very certain. With their appearance, no one would believe they weren't father and son.
Li Lianhua said with a smile, "Alliance Leader Di, it's been a long time."
