Chapter 27 The Shadow King
"Don't tell me you don't know Broom Star, I know all your plans," Qing'er said smugly.
Actually, it was yesterday when she went to see the Queen Mother that she encountered the Broom Star on the road. Seeing him lurking suspiciously among the flowers and plants, she suspected something was wrong. So she went up and dragged him out, asking him what he was doing. At first, he didn't tell the truth, only saying he was sweeping the floor. Seeing he wouldn't talk, Qing'er went up and beat him up. She believed that nothing couldn't be solved with a beating; if one didn't work, she'd just beat him a few more times. Sure enough, after three beatings, the Broom Star behaved and confessed everything.
Ever since the Yin Shi King gave him the task of tricking all the princesses into descending to the mortal realm, he had been racking his brains trying to come up with a plan. Before he could even think of one, the princesses were either in seclusion or had disappeared without a trace. He finally came up with a plan: to tell the Barefoot Immortal that the Seventh Princess had descended to the mortal realm to get married. He planned to capture the Seventh Princess, remove her immortal bones, and send her to the mortal realm. He reasoned that if the Seventh Princess had any problems, the other princesses in heaven would have to go down and help her, and that way, he could get all the princesses down to the mortal realm. But before he could even take action, the Heavenly Laws were changed, and he felt like the sky had fallen.
He wasn't doing anything in the flower bushes; he was just questioning the meaning of life. Who knew he'd get beaten up by the Fifth Princess and thrown into the Heavenly Prison? That's right, Qing'er threw him into the Heavenly Prison after asking her question.
"A good-for-nothing bastard who's good for nothing!" King Yin Shi cursed through gritted teeth. He looked at Qing'er with a cold gaze. "You didn't come here just to say this, did you?"
"I already said, I just came to chat with you." Qing'er shrugged.
He looked at Qing'er expressionlessly, clearly not believing what she said.
Qing'er didn't care whether he believed her or not, and continued, "Let me tell you, you really can't beat me." After saying that, she released her Great Luo Golden Immortal cultivation and pressed down on him. The unprepared Yin Shi King suddenly sat down on the ground.
"Pfft, would you believe me if I said I didn't do it on purpose?" Qing'er looked at him sincerely.
"How is this possible? How could anyone break through to the Great Luo Golden Immortal realm?" Yin Shi Wang was shocked. He knew this couldn't be faked, but he still couldn't believe it. The Great Luo Golden Immortal realm was a legendary realm that no one had been able to break through for tens of thousands of years. He once thought it was just a legend and that this realm didn't even exist. Otherwise, why would no one have been able to break through? He didn't expect it to be true. Does that mean the subsequent realms are also real?
"You're so ignorant, aren't you? You say you want to be the ruler of the Three Realms? What's so great about that? You're always meddling in this and that, you don't have time to cultivate. Even gods die eventually, look at my father, isn't he? You'd be better off cultivating properly, then going to other worlds to play, or even conquering them." Qing'er rambled on as she sat on the steps. Going back alone would be too boring, so she decided to chat for a while longer.
Yin Shi Wang was momentarily stunned, unsure whether to be shocked by her revelation that her father's cultivation was low and he died young, or by her mention of going to another world. Coming to his senses, he asked doubtfully, "Another world...does it really exist?"
Qing'er pouted, "Of course, but with your current cultivation level, you can't go anyway." After saying that, she got up, patted her clothes, and walked out, waving her hand, "Alright, let's stop here, I'm leaving."
Watching her departing figure, Yin Shi Wang felt a mix of emotions. He murmured to himself, "Another world... a realm above the Great Luo Golden Immortal..." A burning desire for cultivation arose within Yin Shi Wang, and he felt that Qing'er's words made sense. Just then, Qing'er's voice suddenly came from afar: "By the way, I advise you not to try anything with us again, or you won't have such a good opportunity to chat next time."
Yin Shi Wang clenched his fist. "I'll beat that girl up one day, but right now the most important thing is to figure out how to break the seal, otherwise my cultivation won't improve."
