Chapter 4 Martial Arts Competition

Chapter 4 Martial Arts Competition

Qing'er had been in seclusion for several days and didn't want to continue for the time being. Bored, she watched her sisters, some writing poems, some watering flowers, and some dancing. She didn't know what to do and just sat there in a daze. At this moment, Zi'er walked over and said gently, "Fifth Sister, let's dance together."

Qing'er was a little unenthusiastic and found dancing even less interesting. Suddenly, she had an idea, her eyes lit up, and she ran to Cheng'er's side and said, "Second sister, let's have a martial arts contest!"

“Okay! Let’s compete outside.” Cheng’er was also interested and walked outside after saying that.

The other sisters, seeing this, followed suit and went outside. Once in the open space, Orange and Green each stood still, assuming their fighting stances. Orange channeled her magic, waving her hands, and a beam of orange light shot towards Green. Green nimbly dodged, her hands quickly forming hand seals, summoning a whirlwind of azure light that swept towards Orange. Orange was instantly sent flying a great distance, then collapsed, spitting out blood.

"Second Sister" Qing'er was shocked. She had only used one level of her strength, but she didn't expect that Cheng'er would be unable to dodge it.

The other sisters, including "Second Sister (Second Elder Sister)," quickly ran over and helped Cheng'er up.

"Second sister, are you alright?" Qing'er quickly stepped forward to check on Cheng'er to see how serious her injury was.

"It's nothing, just a minor injury. I'll go ask Laozi for a pill later," Cheng'er quickly reassured her sisters, seeing how worried they were. She hadn't expected her fifth sister to be so powerful now; she couldn't even withstand a single move from her. For a moment, she felt a mix of emotions, as if all her daily martial arts training had been for nothing.

If Qing'er knew what her second sister was thinking, she would definitely say, "How powerful can you be if you only practice moves and not spiritual power?"

Seeing that no one was hurt, Hong'er said with a mix of laughter and tears, "You guys, you're not careful at all. What if you had gotten seriously injured?"

Upon hearing Hong'er's words, Qing'er apologized to Cheng'er, "I'm sorry, Second Sister." This was indeed unexpected; she thought she could control her power, but she hadn't expected to hurt her Second Sister.

"Alright, Fifth Sister, you didn't do it on purpose, and you're really amazing." Seeing how guilty Qing'er felt, Cheng'er quickly changed the subject.

"Yes, yes, Fifth Sister, I didn't expect you to be so amazing," Lan'er said enviously.

"Fifth Sister, how did you cultivate? That's amazing! You're even better than Second Sister!" Greenie asked curiously. The other sisters also looked at Greenie, equally curious.

"Of course! My 10 years of seclusion weren't for nothing. Second Sister only practiced her moves every day, without cultivating her spiritual power, so she's definitely not that powerful. I spent my 10 years in seclusion cultivating my spiritual power, and now I'm already at the Golden Immortal stage." Qing'er proudly raised her chin.

"Golden Immortal stage?!" The sisters were all stunned, their expressions a mixture of envy and amazement. Hong'er said with a smile, "Fifth Sister's ten years of seclusion have truly been fruitful. It seems that if we sisters encounter any danger in the future, Fifth Sister will have to protect us all."

Qing'er patted her chest and assured them, "Of course, with me here, I will definitely not let my sisters be bullied." Then she added, "But sisters, the most important thing is that you are strong so that you are safe. You can also cultivate together." Qing'er still didn't give up and asked her sisters to cultivate together.

"This..." The sisters looked at each other, still somewhat hesitant. At this moment, Zi'er whispered, "Fifth sister, I'm really afraid that the cultivation will be too difficult and I won't be able to persevere." The other sisters nodded as well.

Qing'er's eyes darted around, and she said with a hint of disappointment, "Then I'll get stronger and stronger, while you guys will still be so weak. I can't even find anyone who can fight." She wasn't asking them to be incredibly powerful, but at least they should have enough magical power to protect themselves after the spirit stones were gone. Besides, they were descendants of the Queen Mother and the Jade Emperor—such superior bloodlines meant their cultivation was already stronger than others. As long as they were willing to cultivate, practicing occasionally to protect themselves shouldn't be a problem.
