Chapter 44 Flight
In fact, Li Lianhua had already heard the commotion outside, but he didn't want to go out. He just wanted to play dead. He didn't know how to face Qing'er yet.
The following day, Li Lianhua deliberately avoided Qing'er.
Qing'er naturally noticed that Li Lianhua was deliberately avoiding her, and found it amusing. She guessed that Li Lianhua probably wanted to live in a different world right now.
Qi Mushan and Granny Cen also noticed, but since this was a matter between the children, it was not appropriate for them, as elders, to interfere too much.
Granny Cen and the others also heard from Li Lianhua that he had broken up with Miss Qiao and that he had changed his name to Li Lianhua.
Granny Cen still quite liked Qing'er after spending these past two days with her. At first, she was a little sorry that Xiang Yi already had Miss Qiao, but after learning they had broken up, although it was a bit unfair, she was still somewhat happy. She actually hoped that Qing'er could be with Xiang Yi. Xiang Yi, really, couldn't he just talk things out? Why did he keep avoiding her? What if he angered her and she ran away?
Li Lianhua didn't appear in front of Qing'er until dinner time in the evening.
Qing'er raised an eyebrow slightly as she looked at Li Lianhua, who had finally appeared.
Li Lianhua's eyes flickered slightly when they met Qing'er's, then she quickly looked away. This subtle movement didn't escape Qing'er's notice. Tsk, so drinking is definitely not advisable; it's easy to get yourself into trouble. Qing'er didn't dwell on last night's events; after all, a drunk person is prone to talking nonsense.
In the following days, their interactions seemed to remain largely the same as before, but Li Lianhua's gaze would always fall on her unintentionally, paying close attention to Qing'er's emotions.
After staying at Yunyin Mountain for several days, Li Lianhua and Qing'er were kicked out. The reason was that Qi Mushan and his wife couldn't stand Li Lianhua's leisurely lifestyle, which was almost like their retirement. They thought she should go out and make some progress at such a young age.
At the foot of the mountain, Li Lianhua gazed at the mist-shrouded Yunyin Mountain, her heart filled with mixed emotions. She felt wronged; when she first returned, her master and mistress were not like this.
Qing'er stood to the side, a slight smile playing on her lips, and teased, "What, you're reluctant to part with these leisurely days?" Li Lianhua coughed lightly, "I'm reluctant to part with my master and mistress." After a few days of leisure, who wants to go back to work? Sigh, it's all Li Xiangyi's fault. Not only are his eyesight bad, but he also left a huge pile of work for him to do.
Qing'er smiled slightly, not exposing his question, "Then where to go now?"
Li Lianhua pondered for a moment and said, "Let's go check out Sigu Gate first. It's been so long since we've been back, I wonder what it looks like now." Qing'er nodded. It had been ten days since the East Sea Battle, and they really needed to go and see.
Seeing Qing'er nod, Li Lianhua said, "Let's go to the market and buy two horses." She wondered if Qing'er knew how to ride a horse. If not, then perhaps...
"No need for that," Qing'er said with a wave of her hand, and a colorful cloud appeared in front of her. This colorful cloud was actually a flying device that Qing'er had practiced when she was bored.
Qing'er stepped onto it and looked at Li Lianhua, who was staring in disbelief, and said, "Come on up."
Li Lianhua came to his senses. Although he was disappointed that he couldn't ride the same horse as Qing'er, he was also very curious about this thing that was beyond his worldview. He stepped on it, and well, he didn't feel anything.
While Li Lianhua was still sensing the cloud, Qing'er had already controlled it to fly rapidly. The wind whistled in his ears, but thanks to the barrier, it couldn't penetrate. However, due to the force of the impact, Li Lianhua, still unaccustomed to the momentum, lost his balance and instinctively reached out to grab Qing'er's arm. Qing'er turned to look at him, a slight smile on her lips, but said nothing, simply steadying the cloud's flight.
As Li Lianhua gradually adapted, she looked down at the places they had passed and marveled in her heart that there was such a magical ability in the world that allowed one to fly on clouds. Moreover, standing high indeed allowed one to see far. No wonder everyone wanted to go higher.
Soon, Sigu Gate came into view. Li Lianhua looked at the familiar place, her heart filled with emotion. She had thought she would never return, but unexpectedly, she was back in just a few days. "These clouds are so convenient," she thought, "we've arrived so quickly."
"We've arrived," Qing'er said, controlling the magical artifact to land at the entrance of the Four Gates, and then she put it away.
The gatekeeper spotted them as soon as he appeared. After recognizing one of them as their sect leader, he rubbed his eyes in disbelief: "Sect... Sect Leader?" Then he shouted, "The sect leader is back!"
