Chapter 58 The Ending of Qiao Wanmian
After her outburst, Xiao Zijin stepped forward and hugged Qiao Wanmian tightly. "I'm sorry, I couldn't control myself when I thought about you leaving me. I'm sorry, Wanmian, please don't leave me."

And so Qiao Wanmian stayed with the Xiao family. At first, they got along well and lived a good life. But as the saying goes, what you get, you don't cherish; what you can't get, you'll always be restless.
Xiao Zijin was like that. At first, he was gentle and considerate to Qiao Wanmian, but as time went on, he gradually lost his initial enthusiasm for her. He began to frequent brothels and stay out all night.
Qiao Wanmian tried to persuade him many times, but all she got in return was Xiao Zijin's impatience and arguments. One time, Xiao Zijin came home drunk, and Qiao Wanmian couldn't help but say a few more words to him. Xiao Zijin then angrily pushed her, and Qiao Wanmian fell to the ground, scraping her knee.
Her eyes were filled with disappointment and sadness; she couldn't understand why Zi Jin seemed like a completely different person.
Xiao Zijin, however, went into the room without looking back. After that, Xiao Zijin became even more brazen, even behaving intimately with other women in front of Qiao Wanmian.
Qiao Wanmian's body swayed precariously, and she clutched her chest before fainting.
Xiao Zijin ignored her, simply having someone carry her into the room and then left her there.
After that, Qiao Wanmian's asthma flared up repeatedly, and her health deteriorated. In less than a month, she passed away. After closing her eyes, a tear rolled down her cheek.
Xiao Zijin, however, was indifferent and continued to indulge in pleasure until she contracted a sexually transmitted disease and died soon after.
