Chapter 77: Confession
Fang Duobing lowered his head in disappointment and stopped clamoring to go find his master.
Seeing Fang Duobing's dejected look, He Xiaohui felt a pang of guilt. It was all Shan Gudao's fault; just thinking about Shan Gudao made her grit her teeth in hatred. Not only had he deceived her sister, but he had also looked down on Xiaobao.
Li Lianhua, who was in Yunyin Mountain, had no idea that he had almost gained a troublesome new disciple. Right now, he was being scrutinized by everyone.
Qi Mushan spun him around, looking him up and down, and shook his head smugly, saying, "Good lad, you're worthy of being my disciple."
Granny Cen rolled her eyes at him. "What does it have to do with you? It's because Xiang Yi is so capable." After saying that, she pushed him away, stepped forward, took Li Lianhua's hand, and looked at him with a look of satisfaction. "Xiang Yi, what do you want to eat later? Your master's wife will make it for you."
"Master's wife, I want to eat sweet and sour pork ribs," Li Lianhua said with a smile.
"Alright, alright, your wife will make it for you right away." With that, Granny Cen turned and went to the kitchen.
Qi Mushan glared defiantly at Granny Cen's retreating figure. How could this not be his business? This was his disciple; if his disciple was capable, didn't that mean he was a good teacher?
"Xiangyi is really amazing," said Li Xiangxian, standing next to him with a proud expression. This was his younger brother.
Li Lianhua, feeling somewhat smug from everyone's praise, tilted his head back. Then he looked at Qing'er with a hint of expectation in his eyes. Qing'er chuckled and praised him, "Amazing."
With just two words, Li Lianhua's lips instantly curved into a wide smile that she couldn't suppress.
Seeing him like this, everyone exchanged glances, their eyes full of smiles. This was still the proud little peacock, how wonderful.
Jin Yuanmeng, Di Feisheng looked at the sky with mixed feelings. Li Xiangyi had become even more powerful. However, he would try his best to catch up. Once his cultivation level improved, he would find Li Xiangyi and fight him.
Several days passed in a flash, and the spiritual energy in the world became denser. Many people found that breathing felt much more comfortable now. Although everyone knew they could cultivate immortality, no one knew how. Therefore, every day, many people were desperately trying to squeeze into the Four Gates. Those who couldn't get in just lingered at the entrance.
Feng Qing and the others were extremely busy. For the first two days, they sent letter after letter to Yunyin Mountain, asking Li Lianhua when she would return.
Li Lianhua replied each time, saying that he believed they could do it, and said a lot of things to affirm them.
Upon seeing the letter, Feng Qing was instantly energized. Since his lord trusted him so much, he would strive to do his best.
What Li Lianhua received later was no longer a call for his return, but rather Feng Qing explaining how he had appeased the people. He said that the lord could return whenever he wanted, that he would handle things well, and that the lord need not worry.
Li Lianhua was very pleased after seeing the letter; he had indeed not misread the seal.
Another month and a half passed in the blink of an eye. Qing'er leaned back in her recliner, a book in her hand, but if you looked closely, you would notice that she hadn't turned to the next page, indicating that she wasn't reading attentively. Actually, she was wondering what Li Lianhua was doing. She wondered what he was busy with these past few days, as she had rarely seen him.
When asked, he just smiled mysteriously and wouldn't say anything. Thinking about this, Qing'er angrily threw the book aside. Should she use her divine sense to scan him? After thinking about it, she decided against it; he'd find out eventually.
At that moment, Li Lianhua appeared in her field of vision. He was dressed in a moon-white robe, his hair half-tied up, the other half hanging straight down, and he looked gentle and refined. He held a large bouquet of red roses in his hands, and it was unclear where he had found them. With a nervous yet expectant smile on his face, he walked step by step towards Qing'er. He handed the bouquet to her.
Seeing his expression, Qing'er's anger subsided considerably. She took the flowers, sat up straight, and asked, "You've been acting all mysterious lately. What have you been up to?" Li Lianhua took a deep breath and looked at Qing'er earnestly, saying, "Qing'er, can you come with me somewhere?"
Qing'er stared at him for a moment, then smiled and said, "Okay." She had a pretty good idea of what Li Lianhua was planning.
Li Lianhua led Qing'er to a mountain not far from Yunyin Mountain. Qing'er looked at the mountain covered in flowers, her eyes flashing with amazement. The entire mountain was truly covered in flowers, some of which were blooming in this season, and some of which were not. It was obvious that Li Lianhua was responsible; his special technique made it very easy for flowers out of season to bloom.
Li Lianhua held Qing'er's hand and slowly walked along the path he had specially reserved. His palms were slightly sweaty, and his heart was pounding in his chest. Finally, they reached the top of the mountain. He stopped, turned around, and looked at Qing'er solemnly.
"Qing'er, I love you." Li Lianhua took out a hairpin, a blue lotus hairpin. He mustered his courage, his eyes filled with sincerity and love, and said somewhat nervously, "Could you give me a chance to spend the rest of my life with you?"
Qing'er's cheeks flushed. Although she had some idea of what Li Lianhua was going to do from the beginning, she didn't expect Li Lianhua to express her feelings so directly. Her gaze fell on the magnificent sea of flowers around her, then slowly returned to Li Lianhua.
"I like you too." Qing'er took the hairpin and said softly, her voice as gentle as a breeze brushing against flower petals.
A look of surprise flashed in Li Lianhua's eyes, and he couldn't help but embrace Qing'er. In this beautiful sea of flowers, the two held each other tightly, as if the whole world had shrunk to just the two of them. The surrounding flowers swayed gently, seemingly offering their blessings to the loving couple.
After hugging for a while, Qing'er gently pushed him away and handed him the hairpin, saying, "Put this on for me."
Li Lianhua carefully took the hairpin, his fingers trembling slightly. He gently parted Qing'er's hair and slowly inserted the hairpin into her hair bun. The hairpin shimmered softly in the sunlight, complementing Qing'er's dark hair and adding to her beauty. "So beautiful," Li Lianhua said, his eyes filled with love. Qing'er's cheeks flushed, and she looked up at Li Lianhua, her gaze sweet.
Li Lianhua's ears were red, whether from excitement or shyness, it was hard to tell.
Qing'er looked around and asked curiously, "Li Lianhua, where are the trees on this mountain?" She had just noticed that the entire mountain was covered in all sorts of flowers, without a single tall tree. A mountain couldn't possibly have only flowers and no trees.
Li Lianhua touched her nose. "They've all been moved to the nearby mountains."
Liu Rujing: Yes, we can decide that. Who knows? The surprise of suddenly receiving a letter from the sect leader was matched by the speechless silence that followed. The letter told him to take more men to the foot of Yunyin Mountain to wait for the sect leader. He was excited at the time, thinking the sect leader was taking them to do something big. After telling his brothers, everyone was eager to go, but they couldn't all go. In the end, the brothers even had a fight, and the winner went with them.
