Chapter 224 Choosing a Visualization Method

"I don't want to be a fish."

Li Changzhou said this, but his hands flipped back to the table of contents of the "Classic of Mountains and Seas" and found the character "Kun," which was glowing.

Just as he was about to turn to the page with the character "Kun", Yang Qinglan suddenly reached out and pointed her neatly trimmed fingers at a line of text.

Li Changzhou's gaze instinctively turned towards them: "Yin-Yang Twin Snakes? What's wrong?"

“I saw this was dark just now,” Yang Qinglan said.

"You are like this too?" A hint of doubt flashed in Yaochi's eyes.

"Hmm?" Li Qianxia looked at it in confusion. "I can learn it too, but I don't know if I could just now."

As the three women approached at the same time, Li Changzhou, after automatically eliminating the scent emanating from his sister, found himself somewhat unable to control himself.

If you remove Yaochi's white hair, Yang Qinglan's fairy-like face in the painting seems to be right next to him.

"Open it and take a look." As if to avoid it, Li Changzhou directly flipped to the page of [Yin Yang Twin Snakes]. The fact that he could turn the page proved that this visualization method was also working for him.

Chaos gave rise to Yin and Yang, Yin and Yang gave rise to the Five Elements, carrying Yin and embracing Yang, all things in the universe, the greatest under heaven.

The same sentence, but next to it is a picture:

In the hazy chaos, two snakes, one black and one white like jade, intertwined, their bodies enveloped in five-colored divine light like a silkworm cocoon.

Lacking the domineering and carefree spirit of the Great Roc, this painting is both terrifying and awe-inspiringly sacred, giving people a sense of mystery, like... the Tao Te Ching or the Taishang Ganying Pian, which seem profound yet incomprehensible.

Yaochi placed her hand on it, and the light of chaos, yin and yang, and the five elements intensified, shining directly through the paper, as if she had pressed herself into a ball of light, with light emanating from between her fingers.

"Sister Yao, how is it?" Li Qianxia asked her curiously.

It says 'Number One Under Heaven' on it! How could she not be curious? She had already forgotten about [Dapeng]... well, she was still thinking about it.

She dislikes snakes; to be precise, she can't accept them physiologically, finding them terrifying.

Yaochi slowly shook her head, as if she had encountered a problem.

She turned to Li Changzhou and said, "You give it a try."

Li Changzhou held his hand—

"Wait. Take your hand away first." Yang Qinglan suddenly spoke, the first sentence addressed to Li Changzhou, and the second to Yaochi.

Yaochi smiled enchantingly, her smile radiant: "You saw right through me."

She withdrew her hand.

Li Changzhou glanced at her, then said to Yang Qinglan, "You try it."

Yang Qinglan placed her hand on it, and under the backdrop of various mysterious lights, her hand became the most beautiful silhouette.

“The Yin-Yang Twin Serpents,” she said, her expression as if she were looking at a book in her mind, “only men and women who meet the requirements can cultivate… Yin and Yang Qi… which are divided into the Five Elements below and merge with Chaos above… the root of creation.”

She withdrew her hand and said:

“I can’t see clearly. I don’t have any memory of the Yin-Yang Twin Snakes. The Classic of Mountains and Seas only mentions the Long Snake, Ba Snake, Ming Snake, Tiger-Dragon, Transforming Snake, Xiangliu, and Zhujiuyin; the Shuyi Ji mentions the Hui Snake; and the Huainanzi mentions the Jiuying and Teng Snake.”

“Hmm—in many myths, Nuwa is a snake,” Li Qianxia added. “That’s why Zhao Ling’er, as a descendant of Nuwa, is half-human and half-snake.”

"A snake on top, and human legs on the bottom—a half-human, half-snake creature?" Li Changzhou asked.

"No, it's Zhao Ling'er."

"On the left is a snake, and on the right is a half-human, half-snake creature?"

"No....."

The two siblings stopped singing halfway through their duet—Yang Qinglan and Yaochi looked at them with eyes that said, 'You two are half-human, half-pig with pig brains.'

“Ahem,” Li Changzhou coughed lightly, “In Norse mythology there is a giant serpent called ‘Jormungandr,’ which is said to be the mortal serpent that encircles the world; there is also the immortal serpent ‘Ouroboros,’ the nine-headed serpent ‘Hydra,’ in Egyptian mythology there is ‘Apophis,’ and in Japanese mythology there is ‘Yamata no Orochi.’”

"Stop talking nonsense. Your sister's comment about Nuwa is even better," Yang Qinglan remarked, offering criticism.

How is it meaningless? Aren't they all snakes?

Well, no matter how you look at it, the Yin-Yang Twin Snakes have absolutely nothing to do with snakes from these foreign mythologies.

“I think I can learn it,” Li Qianxia said.

"What's the reason?" Yang Qinglan asked her.

"Look, doesn't it say on it? Number one in the world! And just now, Sister Yao tricked my brother into putting his hand on it. Things Sister Yao likes definitely won't... Oh!"

Yaochi rubbed Li Qianxia's face.

"Your brother and I are learning the Yin-Yang Twin Snakes, what about your Great Roc?" Yang Qinglan asked.

“It’s okay,” Li Qianxia’s voice was slightly distorted, her pretty face was like dough in Yaochi’s hands, and her ponytail was swinging back and forth. “I can learn other things.”

Li Changzhou sighed: "I must go to my grandparents' graves this winter vacation and tell them that Qianxia has finally grown up and knows how to think about her brother."

"I'm going to tell Grandpa and Grandma! This poor guy, who has no car, no house, and no job, actually managed to find a fairy-like woman with a house and a shop in Mingcheng to be his wife, all because of his good looks!"

"She's not my wife yet," Yang Qinglan corrected her.

"Remember to call me then." Yaochi found the texture very comfortable and it was fun to rub.

"What are you going to do?" Li Changzhou asked in a distant tone.

"Hmph, stop being so narcissistic. Do you really think I care about you?" Yaochi chuckled dismissively, releasing Li Qianxia. "Qianxia and I are sworn sisters. Shouldn't we go to visit Grandpa and Grandma's graves?"

...Unable to refute.

Li Changzhou turned his gaze to Yang Qinglan: "Want to learn?"
