Even as we leave, the golden light still stretches across the land.
They went in, but didn't even know which city this secret base was in.
It was already past midnight when I left the Mingcheng Riverside Road Police Station; it was Sunday.
"Well then, see you later." Yaochi got into the supercar parked by the roadside and waved to the three of them from the car window.
White hair, a blue sports car, and a beautiful woman with elegant and composed demeanor—it's like a scene from a movie.
"Okay, goodbye, Sister Yao." Li Qianxia waved.
Watching the sports car disappear into the empty street, the three walked side by side toward the courtyard.
"I thought it would take several days, but it was over in just a few hours." Yang Qinglan glanced at her bookstore.
Before leaving, she told the shop assistant that she was going out for a while and might not be back for a while.
“It proves that the ‘storm’ consumed too much of our luck, otherwise we could have escaped from Shibuya Crossing.” Li Changzhou put his hands in his pockets.
In November, the night air was a bit chilly, but it was just right for them, cool and pleasant.
“Brother.” In the empty, late-night streets, Li Qianxia’s voice was as soft as a whisper.
"Um?"
"I just remembered something. Isn't Sister Yaochi a white card player? Why is she able to cooperate with the country?"
"For the greater good," Li Changzhou said.
"Mutual benefit," Yang Qinglan replied.
Li Qianxia opened her arms, stretched her body, and swayed her slender, toned waist, saying, "How about going to Tokyo again tomorrow? London, Paris, New York, Sydney, Dubai, Rome—anywhere is fine. I'm not picky."
"We'll go when we can't improve our strength anymore."
After passing Qinglan Bookstore, it wasn't long before we reached the courtyard where the brother and sister rented their place.
Open the door and go inside.
"Finally home—"
Before Li Qianxia could speak, Li Changzhou felt the ground beneath his feet gradually expanding, and an impending tremor about to erupt.
His expression changed, and he put his left arm around Yang Qinglan and pulled Li Qianxia, who was walking towards the rocking chair under the apricot tree, back into his arms with his right.
The moment the three disappeared, the entire courtyard exploded with a loud "Bang!" The ground shook violently, and rubble flew everywhere like bullets.
The centuries-old apricot tree vanished bit by bit in the flames of destruction.
Inside the honeypot world.
“Brother,” Li Qianxia leaned against Li Changzhou’s chest, “It won’t do to have one on each side… Ah! I know! You mean, love on the left, family on the right, right? Qinglan and I are the two most important women in my life—”
“Most importantly… are you a Muggle?” Li Changzhou pushed her away.
"Someone attacked us. Who was it?" Yang Qinglan, still in Li Changzhou's arms, had a sullen face.
"An attack?" Li Qianxia blinked her big eyes.
It's not that she has poor perception; it's that she simply doesn't put in the effort. The most direct evidence is that after a dungeon run, even a life-or-death experience only increased her abilities by 3 points, while Yang Qinglan's increased by 5 points.
"Who attacked us? Did the Special Operations Bureau kill us to cover it up? Or has Tokyo already discovered that the players at the Shibuya Crossroads are us? But that would be too fast!" Li Qianxia asked in surprise.
A sense of lingering fear slowly crept into her heart.
She was so close to dying.
This is the first time that "daily life" has been attacked.
Before this, no matter how dangerous the game was, as soon as I returned to the riverside road and the school, the world seemed to return to the state before the value game began.
The shock Li Qianxia experienced was just as terrifying and panicked as an ordinary person suddenly encountering a gunfight.
The world has changed after all. At this moment, she fully realized this, and the last bit of illusion in her heart was shattered.
“It might be an evangelical sect.” Yang Qinglan snapped out of her reverie, looked up, and realized she was still in Li Changzhou’s arms.
Li Changzhou released his hand without making a sound.
Her waist was so thin, it was breathtaking. Although now was not the time to think about such things, men have their own inherent flaws. If a female ghost appeared on the TV and she was good-looking, they would remain calm and continue to observe her figure.
"Is it that Lord of Divine Radiance?" Li Qianxia still remembered the name.
"It's just a guess. Perhaps it really was the Special Operations Bureau that made this move to prevent us from learning the three S+ level visualization techniques," Yang Qinglan said calmly.
Her instinct is to reject; she is naturally inclined to reject and doubt everything.
Li Qianxia couldn't accept that the Special Operations Bureau would do such a thing, but she knew that it wasn't impossible.
"Let's investigate this thoroughly first," Li Changzhou said indifferently.
Regardless of who orchestrated the attack, he was prepared to retaliate.
He sensed it and found Little Radish sleeping in the sheep's wool.
"What's wrong?" Little Radish woke up rubbing his eyes.
"Is there any danger?" Li Changzhou asked her, as he planned to go out with her.
The word 'danger' rolled down like two blocks of ice from the front and back of Little Radish's body, and she woke up instantly.
"Yes! Yes, yes!" she said hurriedly.
After a while, Li Changzhou asked again, "Is there any danger?"
"It seems like that's all, but Little Radish, I still suggest—Ah! Mommy, save me!"
The two disappeared from their honeyed world.
A huge crater, billowing black smoke, had completely vanished from the courtyard, leaving only the surrounding ruins still burning silently, crackling intermittently.
Li Changzhou kicked the dark stone at his feet; it was a stone bench under the apricot tree.
When Li Qianxia first came to this courtyard, before she was physically strong, she had to hold it with both hands and slowly rub it to move it.
The stone bench was deeply embedded in the dark, warm soil, probably blown into the air by an explosion and then falling straight down, crashing into the ground.
