“Those who attain enlightenment will naturally control their leisure time,” Li Changzhou said.
Mount Buzhou, majestic and magnificent, mysterious and desolate...
Guanyin nodded and then asked Li Changzhou, "You just said that I was at a lower level?"
“Yes, that’s a lower level,” Li Changzhou said. “Buddhism advocates ‘no-self.’ Since ‘self’ does not exist, there is no such thing as ‘mine.’ Even one’s own body does not belong to oneself, let alone one’s life. Why would a Bodhisattva go through the trouble of reincarnation and suffering the cycle of rebirth?”
If she were truly Guanyin, without attaining enlightenment, her reincarnation would merely be that of an ordinary person.
Before reaching the level of a Human Immortal, one might be able to quickly recover by relying on memories, but one still has to overcome the Human Tribulation. The stronger one's cultivation and the deeper one's foundation, the more severe the Human Tribulation will be.
Of course, if one doesn't reincarnate in the modern era, then one is truly an ordinary person.
After the Ming Dynasty, there were no immortals left in the world. They either died fighting for the increasingly depleted Qi Hui, or they died at the hands of players who traveled to the past.
According to Xiaoyue, these are all parallel worlds. So who killed the human immortals, earth immortals, heaven immortals, and even saints in this world?
Players from a parallel world?
Do players also have parallel worlds?
Complex, difficult to understand, and even paradoxical, the rules of this world are in a state of chaos.
Um?
Buzhou Mountain, Buzhou Mountain, Buzhou, Buzhou, incomplete, heaven and earth are inherently incomplete...
“What you say makes sense, but ‘no-self’ is just one of the Buddhist concepts. Those who cultivate ‘no-self’ will naturally not be reincarnated,” Guanyin replied.
What do Bodhisattvas cultivate?
"With great compassion and mercy, I save all sentient beings." Guanyin sighed softly, "Everything is in the past. Now I have lost all my magical powers and fallen from my status and position. I have not yet decided which path I will take in the future."
“Everyone’s life is bound to have regrets,” Li Changzhou comforted him. “That’s why compromise is necessary. Refusing to compromise is to make things difficult for yourself, it’s foolish, and it shows a lack of understanding of the Way of Heaven. So, Bodhisattva, if you’re going to be reincarnated, go ahead and do it sooner rather than later. Don’t linger here.”
Just moments ago, Guanyin was lamenting the state of life, but after hearing this, she laughed and pointed at Li Changzhou with her delicate fingers in a reproachful manner.
"You're quite clever, but I'm not going to harm you, so don't try to confuse me with your words."
“Buddhism establishes strict rules and regulations to restrain itself and encourages people to pursue higher goals until this habit becomes a physical instinct—even a proper Buddhist disciple is like this, let alone me?”
"I have already found my highest pursuit. External honors and disgraces, power and words will not affect me. No matter how much you say, it's useless."
"Then what is your highest pursuit? Great compassion, relieving suffering and rescuing all sentient beings?" Li Changzhou asked.
"What is the goal of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva?" Guanyin asked with a smile.
Li Changzhou thought for a moment and said, "I thought you were truly without desires."
"Without desires or wants, which Buddhist disciple doesn't want to become a Buddha?" Rather than answering Li Changzhou, Guanyin seemed to be mocking herself.
Is it difficult to become a Buddha?
“Difficult, difficult, difficult.” Guanyin said after three consecutive difficulties, “I can only become a Buddha by saving all sentient beings; Ksitigarbha cannot become a Buddha until hell is empty. Back then, Sun Wukong mastered seventy-two transformations and became immortal for countless eons. He even stormed the Lingxiao Palace. Based on these, he wanted to sit on the throne of heaven, making himself a laughing stock.”
"So if you go to the modern era, you can become a Buddha?"
"It's difficult, but it's all up to us."
"Someone like you should have a detailed plan, right? You can't just be thinking about 'smuggling yourself into the modern world'? What are you planning to do next? Or rather, what do you want me to do?"
Li Changzhou wasn't sure if Guanyin really had something for him to do; perhaps she was just using him as a vessel to smuggle him from ancient times to the modern era.
"I can't do anything, and nothing can affect me. It's all destined by fate. I can only be reincarnated."
After a pause, Guanyin said to Li Changzhou, "I need you to choose a good birth for me."
One's birth is indeed very important, even more so than talent and hard work. If one could choose when to be born, most people would choose a good birth—Buddha was a prince, and in some stories, Guanyin was a princess.
"I'd be happy to help."
Guanyin smiled gently, knowing that he just wanted to send her away as soon as possible.
“Bodhisattva,” Li Changzhou said enthusiastically, “I know two races. One is the ‘Parsec,’ which looks exactly like humans on Earth and can be granted a fiefdom of at least 1 parsec upon reaching adulthood. The other is the God Race, the race that revived and summoned the ancient gods and can see the possibilities of the future—these are all excellent backgrounds.”
Li Changzhou transmitted all these memories into Guanyin's mind, including how big a one-second difference was and Si's abilities.
etc......
Didn't Guanyin say that nothing could affect her? If that's the case, why is teleportation possible?
Is the other party lying?
Or is it because this is Li Changzhou's own mind, which has a special effect on transferring memories? Or is it the power of the transfer itself?
Li Changzhou tried to transfer the power of the Soul-Destroying Finger to it... but it had no effect.
Guanyin pondered for a moment: "No rush. The Great Wall of Divine Will is boundless, even more vast than the ancient world. This 'second interval' and 'divine race' are indeed good, but they may not be the most suitable."
"I plan to go see Si in a while and ask her about the special races of the Divine Will Great Wall. Bodhisattvas can choose any of them."
"Thank you for your trouble." Guanyin smiled and bowed. "Then I will give you some guidance during this time."
Even though she was just an ordinary-looking beautiful woman, her words were still extraordinary, and she dared to give pointers to the current number one person on Earth.
