Chapter Eighteen: May I come to your place? (shuhaige.net)

"I wonder if any contestants will come." Li Qianxia strung the chameleon's tail from the daytime onto the "mosquito-shaped blood-sucking gun" and roasted it over a fire.

It wasn't for eating—she didn't even know if it was edible—she just wanted to try sucking blood from the "corpse" and, incidentally, satisfy her desire to grill something else.

Where can I go?

"What do you mean, 'I'm here, you're there'?" Li Changzhou looked up at the three of them.

As the three men looked at him, all four of them stood up at the same time and turned their gazes toward the cliff face on the left.

Li Changzhou held an AK, Li Qianxia held a steel gun, and Yang Qinglan hid behind Li Changzhou, with a dagger in her left hand and grass seeds in her right.

Zheng Qing grabbed some reddish soil from the ground and threw it towards the source of the sound.

The soil particles hit the cliff face with a dry sound. In a flash, the source of the sound disappeared at the edge of the firelight and sank into darkness.

"What is that?!"

"Didn't see clearly! Clinging to the wall, is it a gecko back? Or a spider?"

"It's white, and it looks like a skull." Li Changzhou wasn't entirely sure.

Li Qianxia trembled with fear: "Brother, don't talk nonsense. This is a scientific natural game, not a supernatural story!"

She's been afraid of ghosts since she was little, and whenever she reads a ghost story, she needs Li Changzhou to sleep with her for several days.

"They haven't left yet," Yang Qinglan suddenly said.

Everyone fell silent, holding their breath and staring nervously into the darkness.

The campfire crackled, and the shadows of the four men watched them silently from behind.

"Where can I go?" A voice, indistinguishable between a child's and a woman's, came again from the darkness.

Li Qianxia swallowed hard and moved behind Li Changzhou.

Li Changzhou stepped forward, his fingertip on the trigger slightly dented: "What are you?"

"..." The object in the darkness seemed to be pondering.

"Are you human, or what?" Zheng Qing asked, while listening intently, trying to pinpoint the other person's approximate location by sound.

"What does it say on the ID card?" Yang Qinglan asked.

In the game of value, the "identity card" is a supernatural concept. Any participant, even an earthworm, can naturally understand it and decipher the fiery text on it.

After a while, the object in the darkness said, "Dwarf marmoset."

What is a pygmy marmoset? All four of them simultaneously wore expressions of utter disbelief.

Li Changzhou glanced at Yang Qinglan out of the corner of his eye to ask what to do next.

"Okay, come here." Yang Qinglan's voice was gentle, like a kindergarten teacher, but her cold and sharp gaze was fixed on the shadows.

At the boundary between firelight and darkness, a small, white, and tender hand reached out.

As the pygmy marmoset revealed its entire body, the four gasped in shock, and Yang Qinglan, who was preparing to use "Repulsion," also stopped her plan.

A naked child is clinging to the wall.

It was the same size as Li Changzhou's palm.
